Chapter 562 Did I run into someone I know?

A man in a white shirt and black trousers stood there, pointing a camera at them.

"Hey, what are you taking pictures of? Did you get our permission?" the fat woman scolded, pointing at him.

"This is an orchard, for people to enjoy and pick fruit. It's not appropriate for you to bully a weak woman here, is it?" The man's voice was clear and magnetic.

The women couldn't help but feel guilty upon hearing this, and they looked at each other in bewilderment.

Ye Shi recognized the voice, but the women blocked her view, so she couldn't see the man's face.

“I’ve already taken pictures of you bullying people. If you don’t want the photos to get out and affect your image and reputation as well as your men’s, you’d better leave now.”

The fat woman glared at the man, still harboring resentment.

But those present were all well-known figures from high society; it wouldn't be worth ruining their reputations for something like this.

"Let's go."

At the fat woman's command, the women all left.

With no obstructions around Ye Shi, her vision became much brighter.

"Are you alright?" The man walked up to her and handed her a handkerchief.

She turned her head and a look of shock flashed across her eyes when she saw the man's face.

"Shishi, it's you!"

The man recognized her and exclaimed in surprise.

Ye Shi paused for a moment, then gazed at him calmly.

The man had a respectable appearance, wore a casual shirt and dress pants, and exuded a much more mature and composed demeanor than he had during his student days.

But the figure in her memory had gradually faded from her sight, so much so that seeing it now would not stir any emotion in her.

She lowered her head and was about to walk past him when he grabbed her arm.

"Shishi, don't you remember me?" The man seemed very excited.

"I remember, but I'm not familiar with it."

The man looked disappointed and didn't dare to reach out and hug her. "It's been years since we last met. How have you been?"

She straightened her back, chuckled softly, and turned around, saying, "I'm fine, thank you for your concern."

He handed her the camera. "I just took pictures of everything for you. Here are the photos. If they still bother you, you can use these to scare them off. That way, you won't be bullied."

Ye Shi didn't take it, but looked up at him and said, "Zhu Huai, I didn't ask you to help me, you don't need to do these things."

After saying that, she was about to walk past him.

"Are you still blaming me?" The man's voice carried a hint of sadness.

She paused slightly, glancing at him sideways. "What's it to you about?"

"Shishi, you know what I'm talking about, but it's fate that we met today. Why don't we find a place nearby to sit down and catch up?"

"Sorry, I don't have time."

"Ah Huai, what are you doing here?"

Just then, a young girl ran in from outside, wearing a pretty little dress, and ran past Ye Shi into Zhu Huai's arms.

Zhu Huai hugged the girl with a doting expression and gently stroked her bangs. "Come on, let me introduce you to a friend."

"What kind of friend?"

The girl was around twenty years old, with bangs, and looked young and innocent.

"This is Ye Shi, a friend of mine."

"Ye Shi?" The girl looked Ye Shi up and down for a few moments and exclaimed, "Ah Huai, why didn't you ever tell me you had such a beautiful friend?"

"It's the same now." Zhu Huai then looked at Ye Shi and introduced, "This is my girlfriend, Nana."

Ye Shichao and Nana nodded slightly.

Nana, a very enthusiastic girl, immediately invited, "Sister Ye Shi, why don't you come have lunch with us later?"

"No need, I have something to do, so I'll be going now." Ye Shi said and turned to leave.

Nana pouted and asked, "Ah Huai, is this beautiful lady really just your friend?"

Only after Ye Shi's figure disappeared at the exit did Zhu Huai turn his gaze away. "Hmm, friend."
