The documents were returned to Fu Zelian's desk.
He checked it over and couldn't find any mistakes, so he looked up and carefully examined Su Li.
"You did all of this?"
Su Li stood ramrod straight. "Yes."
Fu Zelian then looked at his assistant beside him.
The assistant said, "Mr. Fu, it was indeed Miss Su who made it herself. She worked overtime until very late last night before going home."
“Not bad, he does have some ability, he’s not just a pretty face.” Fu Zelian slammed the file back onto the table.
Su Li felt ashamed; it turned out they all thought she was just a pretty face.
Being good-looking isn't always a good thing.
"Your work is quite good, better than the other translators in the company. I'll assign you a task."
"Please go ahead, Mr. Fu."
Fu Zelian placed a business card on the table. "My partner for my next project is Russian. He's currently staying at the Emperor Hotel. I had planned to have dinner with him tonight to discuss the project, but I have a meeting that conflicted with my schedule. So, could you make the trip for me? Is that alright?"
"Mr. Fu, I have no problem with that, but I'm new here and might not be very familiar with the specifics of what we need to discuss."
"You just need to explain our company's situation to them and ask them to consider the project negotiation. Your assistant will give you some information later, and you can do it according to the information."
"OK."
"Go out." Fu Zelian lowered his head and continued reading the documents.
Su Li turned and walked out.
Although both are CEOs, Fu Zelian is quite different from Quan Ye. Fu is a complete workaholic, with nothing but work on his mind.
And Quan Ye...
Su Li shook her head, trying to shake off the image in her mind. She had finally gotten out of it, and she couldn't keep thinking about it.
In the office, the assistant stood beside Fu Zelian and said, "Mr. Fu, is it really okay for you to just hand over such an important project to Su Li to handle on her own?"
"If she's not capable, she should leave me as soon as possible."
After Fu Zelian finished speaking, his gaze swept over the information Su Li had prepared again, his brows furrowing slightly. "Have you investigated her background?"
"Yes, I've checked. Su Li isn't from Yucheng. She only moved here recently. Before that, she worked for a big company in Haicheng, but I haven't found out which company it was yet."
"Um."
Fu Zelian responded indifferently and said nothing more.
Around 6 PM, after finishing her meal, Su Li headed to the Emperor Hotel where her client was staying.
"Hello, Mr. Harry, I am the translation consultant for the president of Huaxing Group. Today I..."
"Huaxing, right? I understand. Come upstairs, the receptionist will tell you which floor it is on."
"I……"
"Beep beep beep".
The other party hung up the phone immediately.
Su Li took a deep breath, put away her phone, and walked into the hotel.
She went up to Harry's floor and was about to knock on the door when she arrived at the room.
Suddenly, the door was opened from the inside, and a woman came out crying. She was stunned when she saw Su Li, and then ran away quickly.
Su Li stood there, unsure whether to go in or not.
The room was filled with smoke and the smell of alcohol, and the sounds of men and women laughing incessantly.
Su Li raised her hand and knocked lightly on the door. She only went in after hearing a response from the other party.
Harry was shirtless, had a beer belly, a long beard, small eyes, and a big nose, and looked somewhat fierce.
He sat there with two women in his arms, drinking and flirting, the women's bodies almost pressed against his, being very intimate.
"Mr. Harry."
He looked up and glanced at her casually. "You're the one sent by Huaxing Group?"
"yes."
"Thank you for coming all this way. Please sit down and rest for a while."
