When Su Li woke up, she found herself in an unfamiliar house, her hands and feet bound.
"Waaah—"
Her mouth was taped shut, and she could only make muffled sounds.
The door opened, and a fat figure hurried in.
When she saw who it was, her eyes darkened instantly.
"Waaah!"
Huang Yumei stepped forward and tore off the tape from her mouth, saying, "Stop shouting. If you call those people over, you'll be in big trouble. Miss Song wants to kill you right now. You deserve it."
Su Li shouted sharply, "How did you get here? What do they want with me tied up here?!"
"This is my and your uncle's new home, have you forgotten? Last night, Miss Song suddenly had you sent here and asked me to keep an eye on you. I don't know what they're up to, or how you offended them."
Song Wan arrested her and sent her to Huang Yumei. What exactly is she planning to do?
No matter what they're doing, she has to get out of here immediately.
"Untie the rope for me."
Huang Yumei took a step back, saying in terror, "That won't do. I can't let you go. They said if you run away, they'll kill me. They're fierce and capable of anything."
"Auntie, could you loosen my rope first, and then we can talk slowly?" Su Li said to her gently.
Huang Yumei shook her head vigorously, pulling out a handful of sunflower seeds from her pocket and cracking them open. "I can't let you go. They gave me money. If I let you go, they'll take the money back."
“I’ll give you double whatever Song Wan gave you.”
She was starting to waver; her greedy face was greasy with desire.
But after thinking for a while, she shook her head again, "No, no, there are a lot of people outside. What if they beat me up if you run away? Your uncle is still in the hospital. I can't let anything happen to me."
Seeing that she was so unyielding, Su Li gave up on asking for her help and tried to untie the rope herself.

Shen Linfeng, leaning on a cane, limped in.

"I knew you cared about that brat. She just wanted me to help her untie the ropes, but I didn't manage to."
Shen Linfeng's gloomy gaze swept over Su Li, then he took out a few bills from his pocket and stuffed them into Huang Yumei's hand. "Go out and guard the door. No one is allowed to come in without my permission."
Huang Yumei, her eyes lighting up at the sight of money, immediately pocketed it, acting all shrewd. "I understand, I understand. The little things between a lone man and a lone woman are really exciting. Young Master Linfeng, you can have your fun. I'll go outside and keep watch for you."
After saying that, she happily went out.
Su Li's heart sank to the bottom, and the word "family" was once again blacklisted by her.
Shen Linfeng walked up to her and lifted her chin with one hand. "See? Even your family thinks you're trash that can be thrown away at will."
