Chapter 12 The Fiancée Feels Insecure

Upon seeing Song Wan appear, the two arrogant women immediately changed their expressions and became respectful.

"Miss Song, you've arrived."

Song Wan wore a wine-red fitted dress, with big wavy hair cascading down her back, looking noble and elegant.

She smiled gently at the two of them, "Everyone here tonight is my friend. Isn't it a bit inappropriate for you to make things difficult for Miss Su like this?"

"Yes, yes, we will never dare to do it again."

The two women turned and ran away with their tails between their legs.

Su Li glanced at her, then picked up the bag from the ground and slowly wiped it with a tissue.

Song Wan looked at her and said, "Miss Su, I'm sorry. They were brought by friends of friends. Please forgive them if they have offended you."

She didn't say anything and was about to leave.

"Wait, there's something I'd like to discuss with you."

Su Li turned her head, her beautiful eyes filled with indifference, "Miss Song, what do you want to discuss with me?"

"I know you're A-Ye's most capable secretary, but I'm getting married to him soon, and I don't want any other woman around him. Do you understand what I mean?"

“Miss Song should say these words to Master Quan herself. Besides, this isn’t a discussion; it’s an order to me.”

"As Mr. Quan's fiancée, don't I have the right to notify him?"

Song Wan approached her, her smile still "friendly," and said, "I've investigated your family. You were born into a wealthy family, but your family fortunes declined later. Here's five million, enough for you to live on. Leave the company as soon as possible."

Song Wan took a check out of her bag and handed it to her.

Su Li didn't answer.

Song Wan's meaning is roughly the same as Quan Ye's meaning.

That's fine, at least she doesn't have to ask herself.

Su Li took the check, smiled and said, "Thank you, Ms. Song, but five million is not enough. Since you personally asked me to leave, my severance pay should be more than this."

Song Wan hadn't expected her to have such a big appetite.

But money is not a problem as long as she is willing to resign.

"Go to the company tomorrow to complete the formalities. I'll have my assistant give you as many as you want."

"Miss Song is very generous. See you tomorrow."

Su Li turned and walked away.

Song Wan watched her leave, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Don't blame me for being heartless. Blame it on your beauty. If you have a pretty vase next to you, men can't help but want to touch it."

Su Li returned to Taoyuan, and after taking a shower, she thought about going to the company the next day to resign.

Quan Ye is with Song Wan, so he probably won't be coming back here.

It was a bit stuffy tonight. She was wearing a white shirt that reached her knees, with the sleeves rolled up to reveal her fair and delicate elbows.

Slightly damp hair cascades down, creating a languid beauty.

She went to the kitchen to get some water.

Just as I closed the refrigerator, I heard a slight noise at the door.

"Click—" The door locked.

Su Li frowned. She hadn't turned on the light. Could there be a thief?

At that moment, the living room lights came on, and a tall, imposing man stood there looking at her.

Quan Ye had drunk a little tonight, and his handsome face was flushed, adding a touch of allure to his good looks.

He took off his coat, unbuttoned his shirt, and walked over slowly.

"You, how did you get here?"

Shouldn't he be with Song Wan?

Quan Ye pushed her toward the kitchen counter, encircling her between his chest and the counter, and lowered his head to gently inhale the floral scent of her bath.

He couldn't resist opening his mouth and biting her collarbone.

Su Li couldn't help but take a step back, but her waist was grabbed, leaving her nowhere to escape.

He whispered in her ear, the faint scent of alcohol lingering in her nostrils.

"This is my home, can't I come back?"
