On the scenic path, Tang Nuan walked with cheerful steps, using her guide cane to point the way back.
"Little lamb, I'm going to be Ah Li's bridesmaid. If your owner hasn't come to find you by then, you can come to Ah Li's wedding with me. I'll dress you in a pretty little dress, okay?"
She happily spoke to the little lamb in her arms and felt its enthusiastic response.
Halfway there, the little lamb suddenly broke free from her embrace and ran away.
"Little lamb, where are you going?"
Tang Nuan chased after it for a few steps, but then felt the lamb disappear into the grass, and she couldn't see it anymore.
"Come back! Where are you going?"
She stood there and called out softly, sounding somewhat anxious.
A dark figure appeared behind her, slowly approaching.
Tang Nuan paused for a moment, her ears straining to hear the footsteps behind her.
Because she is blind, her hearing is more sensitive than that of most people.
The footsteps sounded like a man's, and they were getting closer to her.
The atmosphere was very eerie, and cold sweat broke out on her back.
Tang Nuan gripped her guide cane tightly, swung it backward, and shouted:
"Who are you!"
"Warm and cozy—"
Suddenly a familiar voice came from ahead, and then the footsteps disappeared.
Just as Tang Nuan was wondering what was going on, Tang Yao strode up to her and said, "So you've been here all this time. I've been looking for you for ages."
When you first came over, did you see anyone behind me?
Tang Yao looked around and said, "No, I only see you here."

"Where's Su Li? Didn't you come out with her?"
"She's feeding the fish up ahead."
"Then I'll go with you to pick her up."

The two walked back to find Su Li.
After they left, a figure slowly emerged from behind the tree, eyes behind sunglasses fixed on them.

After a few days of playing, everyone went home.
When Quan Ye returned home that night, he saw Su Li lying quietly on the sofa reading a book.
The light bathed her, as if she were draped in a warm and soft coat.
"You're back."
She looked up, put down the book, and was about to get up from the sofa.
Quan Ye stepped forward and pressed her down, saying, "Lie down and rest, you don't need to get up."
"Have you eaten? Shall I have the maid heat up your food?"
"I had a dinner party tonight, and I've already eaten."
Quan Ye raised his hand and gently rubbed her pregnant belly. Seeing that she didn't seem to be in good spirits, he asked, "Did the little one bother you again? Didn't you sleep well today?"
"No, he's been quite quiet today."
"That's fine, otherwise I'll beat him up when he comes out."
Su Li was both amused and exasperated; this father was quite violent.
"I have something to tell you."
"What?"
Su Li picked up her phone and opened Lan Qier's message interface, asking him, "Do you still remember her?"
Quan Ye shook his head. "Who is she?"
"Lan Qi'er, the female secretary you fired before."
"Oh, that's the woman who's really ugly and tried to seduce me," Quan Ye said in a serious tone.
"She sent me intimate photos of her and you today, taken at the hospital..."
Upon hearing this, Quan Ye stood up excitedly, raised his hand to prove his innocence, and said, "Wife, I swear, I have never had a relationship with any other woman except you. If I am lying, may I be struck by lightning!"
Su Li stood up, covered his mouth, and pulled his arm to sit down. "I never said I believed her. Why are you so agitated? Don't say things like that."
"You didn't believe me?"
