Tao Yan, Qi Lin and others followed the route given by the ape and arrived at a cave after walking for about an hour.
The further we went into the cave, the higher the temperature seemed to be. The drone was also blocked outside the cave. If we followed it in, it would be burned to ashes.
Zhinu and Huanmei were the first to be unable to bear it, so they left the cave and waited outside.
The Bull Demon King thought about it and simply took Princess Iron Fan away with him.
After walking a little further inside, even Nezha began to feel a little uncomfortable. Ao Bing, who had wanted to follow in to see what was going on, saw this and directly dragged Nezha out of the cave.
Red Boy brought Qi Yu and Qi Hao out of the cave. They also felt a little hot and uncomfortable, so they decided not to join in the fun.
They don't have to go in, as long as someone in their team can get it.
Only Qi Lin, Tao Yan and Tuntun were left to move forward.
But Tuntun started to feel a little restless, as if it felt very dangerous here.
Tao Yan held Tuntun in his arms and touched her soothingly.
Qi Lin held Tao Yan's hand and continued to walk inside. The temperature in the cave was already unbearably high.
On the stone bed in the center of the cave, there was an egg that was bigger than an ostrich egg, just as the ababoon leader had said.
This egg is covered in scorching flames. Not to mention getting close to it, you can feel the scorching heat even from a few meters away.
When Tuntun saw the fire egg, he suddenly started baring his teeth and roaring. Even when being held in Tao Yan's arms, he did not forget to move his hands and feet around, as if he wanted to rush up and kick it a few times!
I have been following Tao Yan recently, eating and drinking well, and it has recovered a lot now.
It was originally this fire egg that turned it into its current cub appearance!
It also lost some of its memory, but now it remembers it all!
Tao Yan held up Tuntun and asked, "Have you seen this fire egg?"
Tuntun nodded, shouting "Tuntuntun" to remind them. (It's this damn fire egg. It absorbs demonic energy. Be careful. It absorbed demonic energy and that's how I ended up like this.)
Qi Lin seemed to understand what it meant and asked, "Have you ever been hurt by this egg?"
Tuntun nodded aggrievedly, pointing at Huodan and muttering. From his tone, you could tell that he was cursing quite rudely.
Tao Yan: "Tuntun should be telling us to be careful with this egg. I also think this egg is quite strange.
But I'm curious about one thing: why can't they withstand the high temperature of the flames? How come I'm not fire-attributed, so I'm fine?"
Qi Lin touched his chin, thought for a moment and said, "Maybe you have the Undying Fruit on you."
Tuntun licked Tao Yan's hand and nodded in agreement. (That's right, I forgot to pick the Undying Fruit. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been hurt by this egg. That's why I kept guarding the Undying Fruit.)
Tao Yan raised his eyes and said, "Then I can get closer to the egg with the Undying Fruit?"
Qi Lin: "You can try, let's go together."
Tao Yan put Tuntun aside to prevent it from being hurt by the fire egg again.
Qi Lin reached out and held his hand, and the two of them slowly approached the fire egg together.
At this moment, a huge bird and beast totem suddenly appeared above the fire egg.
It had a gorgeous crest, large fiery red wings, a long and beautiful tail, and its entire body was covered in flames. It circled gracefully in the air and chirped.
The voice was crisp, yet seemed to carry a heavy pressure, making both of their hearts feel as if they were being pulled hard.
Qi Lin quickly wrapped the two of them in flames to resist the pressure.
If Qi Lin hadn't supported him, Tao Yan felt that he might not be able to stand steadily.
Qi Lin looked up at the totem and said calmly, "This egg might be the egg of the ancient mythical beast Suzaku."
Tao Yan: "Should we still take it? It's too hot to handle, right?"
Qi Lin: "Here, if he burns you again, we'll take it back and make egg drop soup."
The fire egg seemed to have heard their conversation. The bird and beast totems in the sky changed their shapes and threw a fireball at the two of them.
Qi Lin caught it with his hand and extinguished it immediately.
The fire egg shook its body, as if dissatisfied, and threw out several fireballs in succession.
Tao Yan looked at the oncoming rain of fireballs, his eyes widened in fear, and he hid in Qi Lin's arms.
Qi Lin's eyes flashed, and he waved his hand to extinguish the rain of fireballs, then quickly made a move and grabbed the neck of the bird and beast totem.
"You throw it at me again? I'm going to smash you right now."
The fire egg trembled with fear and shook a little, and the bird and beast totems disappeared instantly.
Tao Yan came over with a smile, looked at Qi Lin with bright eyes, and praised him generously, "Brother Qi, you are so awesome."
Qi Lin smiled and was about to say something when he found that the Bujin Fruit in Tao Yan's pocket suddenly flew out and went straight to the egg.
"Ah! My fruit!" Tao Yan leaned over and tried to take it back.
I don't know how the egg managed to absorb half of the fire-attribute spiritual power from the Undying Fruit.
Qi Lin reached out and snatched the Undying Fruit back, then punched the egg fiercely. "How dare you steal our things? I think you don't want to be an egg anymore, you want to be egg drop soup."
Tao Yan, holding the Undying Fruit that had lost half of its spiritual power, angrily went over and slapped Huodan, "That's right!"
The fire egg swayed back and forth in a wronged manner, and finally cracked as it swayed.
Tao Yan was startled and pulled Qi Lin back several steps.
The white egg began to crack from the middle, and with a crackling sound, the crack became bigger and bigger.
After a while, a red bird's head emerged from inside.
There are three upturned feathers on its forehead, with a golden gradient at the tail end. Its whole body is round and cute.
