53. Creamy Strawberry Kiss

53. Creamy Strawberry Kiss

Ke Qi was completely unaware of Chen Youting's actions.

She lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, her mind replaying Gu Ye's words.

In conclusion, it all boils down to one thing: break up with Gu Zhao, or else, even if you accidentally hurt Gu Zhao, make her regret it.

But why?

Why was Gu Ye so opposed to Gu Zhao dating a succubus?

Could it really be as Fang Zeqing said, that it was because he was betrayed by his succubus first love?

Keqi, unaware of the situation, closed her eyes wearily, feeling extremely agitated.

About twenty minutes passed in this turbulent flow of thoughts.

"Buzz~"

The sudden ringing of the telephone interrupted her thoughts.

Ke Qi's eyelashes trembled slightly as she opened her eyes and glanced at the person calling.

—Gu Zhao.

She pursed her lips, stared at the contact name hesitantly for a few seconds, and finally chose to answer.

"Qiqi?"

The young man's magnetic and pleasant voice came through, carrying a hint of gentleness that was barely perceptible, "Are you asleep?"

My chaotic thoughts miraculously calmed down the moment I heard his voice.

She replied, "No."

Gu Zhao: "Do you want to come down? I brought you your favorite strawberry cream puffs?"

What's the meaning?

Hearing the whooshing sound of wind coming from the other end of the phone, Ke Qi guessed, "Are you downstairs in my dorm?"

"Um."

It's really there?

This is so sudden!

Ke Qi immediately pounced on him, "Okay, wait for me, I'm coming right away!"

A short while later, downstairs at the girls' dormitory.

Ke Qi walked out in her slippers and immediately spotted the tall figure standing in the night.

He was dressed much the same as always, in a casual black and white mix, looking cool, sharp, and youthful. He stood there tall with deep-set eyes and a cold expression, like a handsome marble statue.

Only when he saw her come out did her beautiful, languid, half-drooping peach blossom eyes visibly curve upwards, revealing a gentle expression.

His thin lips moved silently as he opened his arms to her.

Come on~

The black wind whipped his short, ink-black hair, a scene that looked just like something out of a comic book.

My heartbeat suddenly became erratic.

"Gu Zhao!"

She couldn't help but call out his name, and the next second she ran and jumped into his arms.

The warm, sunny feeling instantly enveloped and swept over us.

Amidst the envious glances of passing girls, she affectionately rubbed her cheek against his firm chest and softly asked, "Why did you suddenly come here?"

Gu Zhao easily embraced her petite body and leaned in to kiss the top of her fluffy head. "I heard from Chen Youting that my little lamb is unhappy."

"So, I'll try to coax her."

Let me try to comfort her~

Ke Qi pondered his words repeatedly in her mind. Her previously troubled chest felt like it was overflowing with sweetness, "Is that so~"

"Um."

In the early autumn nights, the wind was long and bleak. He took off his black windbreaker and draped it over her shoulders. "Are you cold?"

“A little.” She smiled at him, “but it’s not cold now.”

After saying that, she immediately lowered her head and sniffed like a puppy.

"It smells so good, Gu Zhao, did you bring me these strawberry cream puffs?"

"Hmm." He reached out and gently stroked the tip of her delicate nose, then opened the bag in his hand and took out one of the cream puffs. "Here, have some."

"Okay." Ke Qi hugged his lean waist, but instead of taking it, she leaned in and bit him, following his gesture.

In an instant, the delicate and smooth aroma of cream, mixed with the sweet and sour taste of strawberry pulp, filled the taste buds. Keqi squinted her eyes in satisfaction, "Delicious."

As she spoke, she grasped his wrist and lifted it up, her eyes sparkling as she said, "Gu Zhao, would you like to try some too?"

Gu Zhao looked down at the cream puff that had been bitten into, without making a move. Her gaze drifted to the corner of her mouth, which was still covered in cream.

"good."

He agreed, then leaned down and kissed her.

The moment those warm lips touched, Ke Qi blinked in confusion, "Gu Zhao, you..."

Before she could finish speaking, he forcefully took away all her breath.

He didn't give her any chance to refuse, and only after a long time did he finally release her lips.

"It's very sweet."

He chuckled softly and commented, "It's creamy strawberry flavored."

Keqi was breathing heavily, gasping for fresh air, and muttered angrily, "Bad dog."

He said he came to bring her cream puffs, but he clearly just wanted to eat them.

"Is this bad?" He pretended to turn and leave. "Then should I go?"

Ke Qi was stunned and instinctively grabbed his hem, "No!"

"Why are you so stingy?" Her cheeks puffed out like a pufferfish. "Can't I even joke around?"

After saying that, as if she had thought of something, she suddenly lowered her eyelashes, let go of his clothes, and murmured softly.

"They're all bullying me. If you want to leave, then leave. But don't come back."

Hearing this, Gu Zhao was slightly taken aback, then subconsciously pulled her back into his arms, leaned down and kissed the corner of her reddened eyes, coaxing her gently, "Don't leave, it was just a joke, why are you really angry?"

Ke Qi turned her face away and ignored him.

My intention was to distract her and make her happy, but it backfired unexpectedly.

Gu Zhao secretly regretted it, so he simply took her other hand and slapped it hard on his face.

"Woof~" He looked at her intently, and under her astonished gaze, he lowered his eyes slightly, "Bad little dog Gu Zhao knows he was wrong, wife, don't be angry anymore, okay?"

...

Silence spread, broken only by the occasional laughter and chatter of passersby carried by the night wind.

The usually unruly and willful young man was now meek and submissive, showing the utmost tenderness and doting, all in an attempt to win her forgiveness.

Where is there any trace of the Great Demon King now?

"That's more like it."

Ke Qi couldn't help but smile, reaching out to pat his head as he lowered it, praising him, "A good dog knows its mistakes and can correct them. I forgive you~"

Anger really does come and go quickly.

Gu Zhao found it amusing and took her soft little hand into his palm. "So what happened that made you unhappy today? Tell me, okay?"

Tell him?

Ke Qi remained silent.

Yes, but she's not really keen on it.

His family was originally so happy, and his relationship with his brother was originally so good, but because of her, they have started to have conflicts.

If we were to spread what happened today, it would probably escalate beyond just a minor disagreement.

Gu Ye's concern for him shows that he genuinely loves and cares for his younger brother, which is why he was so extreme.

Keqi knew how difficult it was to have a family member who truly cared for and loved her, so she didn't want him to become estranged from his relatives because of her.

There's always a way to have the best of both worlds.

For example, we should first address the root cause by understanding why Gu Ye dislikes succubi so much and has such a negative stereotype about them.

Although Fang Zeqing had already told her this before.

But who can be sure how many of the words he utters are true and how many are false?

Gu Zhao is right here right now. He and Gu Ye grew up together and are also best friends...

Then, perhaps she could ask him more tactfully?
