Seeing that she couldn't control Zhou Hengliang, Li Miaomiao had to take action herself.
"Mother, my uncle said that you have worked too hard to take care of Xiao Youchen, so he won't bother you anymore. He will take care of Xiao Youchen himself from now on."
"This stubborn guy, how can a grown man like him take care of a child? No, I'll go get little Youchen tomorrow."
Wen Dazui did not question what Li Miaomiao said, but it was she who raised little Youchen with great difficulty, and the relationship between them was beyond that of aunt and nephew. Although they were called aunt and nephew, their relationship was better than that of mother and son.
How could she bear to see little Youchen, who had been around her all day, run away? She kept saying that she must go and pick little Youchen up.
When Li Miaomiao heard this, she became even more anxious.
"Mother, I think you're the same. If you really want a child to accompany you, look, your grandson will be here soon. It's not just your uncle who's at his place. Isn't there Aunt Shumei? Little Youchen will call Aunt Shumei "Mom" sooner or later. You should give them a chance to cultivate their relationship."
Li Miaomiao came close to Wen Dazui, stroked her belly, and tried to reason with him.
Wen Dazui thought for a moment and felt that what Li Miaomiao said made sense.
Seeing that she stopped talking, Li Miaomiao knew that what she said had worked, so she quickly struck while the iron was hot.
"Okay, mother, just wait for your grandson to come out! Don't worry about other things. Come on, we bought you your favorite peanut butter."
Miaomiao dragged Wen Dazui's arm and helped him into the house.
In the evening, Qianqian and Shumei closed the shop early and headed towards Boyi Store, carrying the spare clothes they bought for Xiao Youchen.
Qianqian couldn't wait to meet Yang Liu, the girl Shumei and the others had described as so legendary.
Arriving at Boyi's grain store, Boyi had just finished packing up and was about to close the store to go to Shumei's place. He was quite surprised to see Shumei. In the morning, Shumei had said that they should be quiet with each other, and he had never expected Shumei to come to see him.
"Shumei, Qianqian, why are you here? I was just about to close the door and come over to look for you!"
Shumei smiled at Boyi in response, but Qianqian didn't even look at Boyi and walked straight into the store.
Just like when Boyi came back in the afternoon, Qianqian searched the store inside and out as soon as she entered. Not finding the Yang Liu they were talking about, she asked Boyi with a stern face, "Boyi, where is that woman? Where did you hide her?"
Shumei was already showing clothes to Xiao Youchen, asking him to try them on to see if they fit him well.
Boyi closed the door and just walked to Shumei. Before he could say anything to Shumei, he was asked a question by Qianqian.
Hearing Qianqian's question, Boyi's face lit up with a relaxed smile, "I was just about to tell your sister Shumei about this! Why would I hide her? She's not some priceless treasure. It's strange, I tried my best to persuade Yang Liu to leave, but when I came back today, she disappeared. She was coaxed away by Hengliang. It's really like the saying goes, 'One thing conquers another!'"
When Shumei heard that Yang Liu had left so quickly, she was a little surprised. She looked up and asked Boyi, "She really left? It's much sooner than I expected!"
Boyi was about to agree with Shumei, but Qianqian interrupted him.
"She's lucky. If she hadn't left, I would have skinned her alive and ripped out her tendons tonight. What a shame! I wanted to come and see what she was like, but I ended up with nothing."
Qianqian spoke with such intensity that it seemed as if she and Yang Liu had an irreconcilable feud.
"That's good, the rain has finally stopped and the sky is clear. You need to take care of the store. Qianqian and I are relatively free. From now on, I will come over every morning to pick up little Youchen and bring him back to me in the evening."
Shumei has already made plans to share Boyi's worries and decided to take care of Xiao Youchen herself.
Boyi had no reason to object. Shumei's help in taking care of the children proved that Shumei treated him as her own family. He was so happy that he couldn't contain his joy!
Now he just wants to build the house quickly and get married to Shumei as soon as possible.
"Xiao Youchen, do you want Aunt Shumei to take care of you?"
"Of course I do. I love my mother the most."
Shumei smiled and asked Xiao Youchen for his opinion. Xiao Youchen quickly raised his hand to agree, then threw himself into Shumei's arms and hugged her tightly.
After a brief storm, everything returned to its former calm.
Qianqian looked at the two people with happy smiles on their faces, and the three of them were as close as a family, and she felt inexplicably comforted in her heart.
From that day on, Shumei had a lot more things to do every day. She got up early in the morning to prepare breakfast, and brought it to Boyi when she went to pick up Xiao Youchen.
After taking little Youchen over, she hurried to open the shop. After closing the shop in the evening, she sent little Youchen to Boyi. Then she worked non-stop to prepare dinner, serve little Youchen, give him a bath, and only returned to the barber shop after coaxing him to sleep.
If the barber shop allowed, she would definitely let Xiao Youchen stay and sleep with her, but the barber shop only had one room and one bed. It was a bit difficult for her and Qianqian to sleep together, so there was no room for Xiao Youchen.
With the birth of little Youchen, even though Shumei and Boyi see each other more often, they have less time to truly spend together. Shumei is busy every day, but she feels fulfilled. Boyi enjoys having Shumei around. Watching her busying around and carefully taking care of little Youchen, Boyi even has the illusion that they already have a happy family.
I don’t know if it’s because she’s been overworked recently, but Shumei’s heartache has become more frequent, and she has also been feeling chest tightness and shortness of breath recently.
One day, after she had finished bathing little Youchen, she was about to carry him to bed when her heartache struck again. She was in so much pain that she couldn't straighten her back and breathing became extremely difficult. She nearly fell to the ground with little Youchen. She gritted her teeth, squatted down, and placed little Youchen on the ground.
