“Have you ever had tofu pudding?”
Shumei didn't say anything, just shook her head slightly.
"Have you ever eaten Shengjianbao?"
"Shengjianbao?"
Shumei looked at Wencai with a puzzled look and shook her head again.
Not to mention whether she had ever eaten it, Shumei had never even heard of it.
Being able to fill her stomach with three meals a day and not suffer from hunger or cold is what Shumei wants most in life. She doesn't have the leisure to care about those snacks. She doesn't have the capital for it.
Wencai grabbed Shumei's hand and pulled her towards the stall across the street.
"Wencai, what are you doing?"
Wencai found a table and pulled Shumei to sit down.
"Haven't you ever tried tofu pudding and pan-fried buns? I'll treat you to a few today."
"No, I just had dinner not long ago. I'm not hungry. Let's go! Let's go back!"
Shumei was about to get up and leave when she said this, but Wencai forcibly pulled her back to the bench.
"What would you two like to eat?"
Before Shumei could say anything else, the boss came over with a smile on his face.
As mentioned before, people at that time were not very accustomed to nightlife, so the business of these night market stalls was not very good. When they saw customers coming, the owner would of course greet them with a smile.
"Two bowls of tofu pudding and a basket of pan-fried buns."

The boss smiled and turned back to prepare things for Wencai and the others.
Shumei was a little restless. It was her first time to eat in such a noisy night market in the middle of the night, and she was really at a loss.
"Why are you so nervous? I'm just treating you to a midnight snack, not eating you."
I just said that you have to think before speaking, but when Wencai faced Shumei, he was just like a fish, and his true nature was revealed when he opened his mouth.
"I don't care about you!"

Wencai couldn't wait to pick up the spoon in the tofu pudding bowl, scooped a spoonful of tofu pudding into his mouth, grabbed a pan-fried bun with his left hand, and ate it with relish.
Shumei placed her hands tightly on her legs, her eyes fixed on the steaming tofu pudding on the table. Seeing Wencai wolfing down the food, Shumei couldn't help swallowing.
"Eat quickly! What are you standing there for?"
Wencai said this with his mouth covered in tofu pudding, but when Shumei still didn't obey, he put down the spoon in his hand, picked up the spoon in the tofu pudding bowl in front of Shumei, scooped a spoonful of tofu pudding, and handed it to Shumei's mouth.
"Come on, open your mouth and take a bite. I guarantee you won't be able to stop."
Shumei tried her best to dodge it, but the spoon of tofu pudding was pressed against her mouth and she couldn't get away from it.
She opened her mouth as if possessed by a ghost and ate the tofu pudding that Wencai fed her.
This "lovey-dovey" scene was seen by Qian Danni who was passing by. She was stunned and kept rubbing her eyes, thinking that she was dazzled and had seen it wrong.
Qian Danni, whose parents are both teachers, works as an accountant in a large company. She is Shang Qingke's best friend.
Since she is Shang Qingke’s best friend, she certainly knows that Wencai is Qingke’s boyfriend.
"Dani, what are you looking at? Do you want something to eat?"
Danni's boyfriend Ling Peng saw Danni standing there in a daze. He also looked across the street, pushed her arm and asked.
"No..." Dany replied casually. As soon as she finished speaking, she immediately came to her senses, "Yes, let's go over there!"
Danny pulled Ling Peng across the street.
The two of them found a table not far from Wencai and the others and sat down. Her eyes never left Wencai and Shumei. She wanted to understand what Wencai was up to and what his relationship was with this woman.
From her angle, Dani could see Wencai's face clearly, but she could only see the side of Shumei's face.
Under the dim light, she found that Shumei was a beautiful woman. Although she did not look very young, her face could still make other women jealous.
What a beautiful face! No wonder Wen couldn't resist the temptation. Although Qing Ke is pretty, she is still far inferior to this woman.
Danny bit the chopsticks in her hand and stared at Shumei in a trance.
"Dani, what are you staring at? Eat quickly! It won't taste good if it gets mushy."
At Ling Peng's urging, Danny picked up a few noodles and put them in her mouth.
Wencai and Shumei enjoyed the meal very much. Shumei couldn't stop eating the first mouthful of tofu pudding Wencai fed her.

The two men looted everything on the table. Shumei touched her stomach with satisfaction, and then she took out the 10 yuan she had saved from her pocket, trying to show off her wealth.
She was about to wave to the boss to come over to settle the bill when Wencai grabbed her hand and pressed it back on the table.
"Why are you showing off? When you're able to hire me in the future, I won't hesitate. Before that, let me do it! After all, I'm your boss."
Wencai leaned close to Shumei's ear and whispered.
This "intimate" action made Dany so angry that she gritted her teeth and wanted to rush over and slap Wencai twice.
"Boss, the money is on the table."
Wencai took out some money from his pocket, put it on the table, and stood up and left with Shumei.
Danny hurriedly asked Ling Peng to pay the bill and pulled Ling Peng to follow.
