Chapter 180: Home Still Doesn't Feel Like Home

The woman pulled her son to her side and whispered, "Son, look how mad your brother is at your father. You have to be obedient. Go up and make your father happy so he doesn't get angry anymore. It's not worth it to get sick from it."

The child listened to her words and ran to Father Wu. He hugged his thigh and said in a childish voice, "Dad, don't be angry. Don't get yourself sick from anger. When Tiger grows up, he will be very obedient, respect you and Mom, and never make you angry."

Father Wu looked down at his youngest son's well-behaved face, and the anger in his heart was immediately extinguished. He leaned over and held his youngest son in his arms, unable to let go, with a relieved expression on his face.

"Tiger is still obedient and sensible. It seems that Dad can only place his hopes on you."

When the woman saw how affectionate the father and son were and heard what Mr. Wu said, she couldn't help but smile and was very happy.

Even if Wu Meng hadn't been kicked out, it didn't seem like he would pose any threat to her and her daughter. At most, he would just squander some more money, which was a drop in the bucket, and she didn't care at all.

As soon as Wu Meng went upstairs, he rushed into the bathroom, took a hot shower, changed into clean and comfortable clothes, fell on the bed he had not seen for a long time, spread out his body in a human shape, looking relaxed and enjoying himself.

"Gugu..."

He originally wanted to have a good sleep, but unfortunately his flat stomach suddenly protested and kept rumbling.

He pushed his hands down and, using the strength of his hands and waist, he suddenly jumped to the ground and stood up. He wanted to use this to test whether the strength of his arms had returned to normal.

"Hmph! Looks like you've recovered quite well." He clasped his fingers together, pushed out with his palms facing backwards, and did two chest expansion exercises. He then swayed from side to side to stretch his back.

Then he walked to the corridor and shouted to his aunt downstairs, "Auntie, Auntie..."

Hearing the sound, Auntie rushed out of the kitchen in her apron. She hadn't seen Wu Meng for so long that she was a little surprised. She raised her head excitedly and responded to Wu Meng, "Master, you're back? What do you want to call me for?"

"Auntie, I'm hungry. Please help me get something to eat first."

In this family, the only person Wu Meng can communicate normally with is probably the cook who has worked at home for many years.

Auntie also watched little Wu Meng grow up, and she always believed that Wu Meng was the real young master. She also took good care of Wu Meng and responded to his every request. She also felt deeply sympathetic for Wu Meng's situation. Even if she could have a say in the family, she would have spoken on his behalf. Unfortunately, she was just a cooking aunt, and she didn't have the power to say a word, let alone a single word.

"Hey! I'll get it for you right away." Auntie responded and went to the kitchen.

How could Wu Meng's stepmother let him have it so easy? When she saw Wu Meng return to the room, she ran to the kitchen and urged his aunt to do this and that for her son.

The aunt replied reluctantly, saying that Wu Meng was hungry, so she had to prepare Wu Meng's food first, and then help the young master.

When the woman heard this, she bared her teeth and roared, "Is it Wu Meng who pays you, or am I? You just do whatever I tell you to do. Why are you talking so much nonsense? He's healthy and can do it himself when he's hungry. Hurry up, Mr. Shang is still waiting for his Tremella soup! Don't be ignorant of the importance of this."

Auntie didn't dare say anything more. She had lived in the Wu family for most of her life and considered it her second home. She couldn't bear to leave here, and couldn't bear to leave Wu Meng, who she had watched grow up. In order to stay, she could only obey this woman's orders.

"Okay, I understand, ma'am, it will be fine soon."

"That's more like it."

Seeing her aunt's respectful look, she turned around and left with satisfaction.

Auntie looked at her departing back and shook her head helplessly.

Auntie prepared a large table of food, because today was Sunday and Father Wu would be staying home for dinner. She felt really bad for Wu Meng, so she secretly left a portion of the food aside, thinking that she would wait until the woman wasn't paying attention and then bring it upstairs to Wu Meng.

The family had lunch together happily. Except for the aunt, no one remembered that Wu Meng was at home. The three of them had a very happy meal and no one mentioned Wu Meng at all.

Wu Meng hadn't had a good sleep for a long time. Although his stomach was protesting, he lay there and fell asleep unknowingly.

After lunch, the woman dragged Mr. Wu to take Huer to the playground.

When the aunt saw the three of them talking and laughing as they left the house, she brought the hidden food upstairs to Wu Meng.

Wu Meng was snoring softly in his sleep, his expression was very relaxed, and there was a satisfied smile on the corner of his mouth.

Auntie walked over, put the food on the bedside table, and shook Wu Meng's arm to wake him up from his sleep.

Wu Meng reluctantly opened his eyes. In his dream, he was surrounded by beautiful women, singing and dancing. His aunt had disturbed his sweet dream. He rubbed his sleepy eyes and was about to complain, but when he saw his aunt's kind and gentle face, the words on his lips were swallowed back with saliva.

"Are you starving? Eat quickly."

The aunt brought the food to him, and he didn't say anything, but took the food and started to eat it voraciously. Seeing him eat so happily, the aunt's face showed a gratified expression.

"Slow down, don't choke. Look at you, your mouth is full of rice. You've grown up, but you're still the same as when you were a child, wolfing down your food when you're hungry." The aunt wiped the rice grains from the corners of Wu Meng's mouth with a tissue like a lover and a mother.

"That's because the food you cook is delicious. Even if I'm not hungry, I can still eat it with relish."
