"You have one too? He clearly said that it was specially made for me, why do you have one too?" Qing Ke asked the doubts in her heart foolishly. She looked at Wu Meng and the strange woman in front of her, hoping that they could give her an answer.
"Haha! Specially made? Come on, everyone knows this. Brother Meng will give a crystal shoe necklace to anyone who has slept with him as a souvenir." The woman stood up from the sofa and walked over to Qing Ke. "You don't think this is a token of love, do you? You want Brother Meng to be responsible for you! Haha..."
The woman's sarcastic laughter penetrated Qingke's ears like a poisonous snake. Qingke's mind suddenly went blank and he could hear nothing.
All I saw was the disgusting face of the woman, laughing wildly, her face distorted by laughter.
Her heart felt like it was being torn apart, and she suddenly couldn't breathe.
pain……
She felt nothing but pain. She covered her chest, frowned, and looked at Wu Meng unwillingly.
Wu Meng sat there as if nothing had happened, a smug smile on his face, unwilling to even glance at Qing Ke, and leisurely drank the wine in his glass. The woman lingered around him, her expression extremely charming and enchanting.
Qing Ke glanced around, seeing everyone with ferocious expressions. She angrily threw the crystal slipper necklace to the ground, pushed through the crowd, and ran out the door, covering her mouth and crying.
Wu Meng saw Qing Ke turning away in despair, a trace of pity flashed across his face, and his palms clasped tightly on the sofa. He pushed the woman away impatiently until he saw Qing Ke's back disappear into the crowd.
The woman was pushed down on the sofa, supporting her body with her hands, her face full of confusion.
"You guys continue, I'm feeling suffocated and want to go out for some fresh air." Wu Meng stood up from the sofa, said this indifferently, and walked towards the door of the bar without waiting for his companions to react.
He quickened his pace and walked out of the bar, looking around at the door in front of the bar, as if he was looking for something. Perhaps he wanted to take another look at Qing Ke's figure, but unfortunately, he didn't see Qing Ke.
He leaned against a tree trunk, smoking one cigarette after another, his expression extremely heavy.
Qingke ran and ran, not knowing how long she had been running. Tears kept falling like pearls from a broken string, and she couldn't stop them.
She ran to an overpass, looked at the endless stream of vehicles under the bridge, the twinkling stars in the night sky, and the colorful neon lights of the city. Everything was so beautiful.
Why? Why was everything so beautiful, yet she was the only one to end up in such a miserable state? She even wanted to jump off the overpass. How could she be so foolish, so stupid, to be so bewitched by a few sweet words from others.
"ah……"
She roared with all her strength, slid down the railing of the overpass and sat on the ground, looking extremely miserable.
It seemed as if God also felt sorry for her and cried with her.
She leaned against the railing like a zombie, her eyes red.
For Qing Ke, this was a flash romance, but it didn't end well. Before she could even experience the beauty of love, she was sent into hell by a breakup.
Why? God, why do you do this to me? I just want a simple, clean love, why do you have to hurt me again and again?
It rained all night and Qing Ke no longer remembered how she got back home. However, when she opened her eyes the next day, she was already in her familiar bed.
The sunlight shone through the gap in the curtains, hitting Qingke's face and making her unable to open her eyes.
The sun was so bright and the quilt was so thick, but she couldn't feel any warmth and her body was shivering with cold. She pulled the quilt on her body to cover herself more tightly.
Her head hurt. She hadn't drunk a drop of alcohol last night, so why was it still hurting? She shook her head violently.
The scene at Chaole Bar last night appeared clearly in her mind again, and she couldn't help but burst into tears.
At this time, the sound of a door opening was heard, followed by Bai Meng's voice.
"Keke, you're awake, you're finally awake." Bai Meng said as he placed the glass of water and a small white bag on the cabinet. He then reached out to Qingke's forehead and touched his own forehead. "Ouch! Why is it still so hot?"
She quickly ran out the door and shouted downstairs, "Lao Shang, Lao Shang, the cocoa is still burning! Hurry up and get an ice pack."
Bai Meng didn't go back into the house until she heard Shang Xin's response, and then she helped Qing Ke up and leaned against him.
Qing Ke was also a little puzzled, wondering why she couldn't use any strength in her body. Even with Bai Meng's help, she had to use a lot of effort to sit up.
Bai Meng opened the small white bag on the cabinet. Inside was more than ten pills of different sizes. She handed the pills to Qing Ke and said, "Take the medicine."
Qing Ke took the pill reflexively, "Mom, what's wrong with me? Why do I need to take medicine?"
"Silly child, are you delirious with fever? How can you get better if you don't take medicine? Come on, take it quickly. Do you know? You were unconscious for a whole day and night, and you scared us."
Qing Ke reluctantly put the pill into his mouth, and Bai Meng quickly handed the water cup to Qing Ke. Qing Ke took the cup, tilted his head back, drank a big sip of water, and swallowed the bitter pill.
Bai Meng tidied up Qing Ke's hair that was scattered on her cheek with concern, and held her hand which was cold due to the high fever.
"Keke, can you tell me what happened the night before last? You came back in the rain and fainted as soon as you reached the door. Then you had a high fever and kept muttering about Cinderella and the prince's crystal slippers."
