Chapter 44: Escape from Danger

"Take off your clothes and watch what I do, and then you can do the same."

Zhuo Er said to the idiot who was standing there, yawning non-stop. The idiot responded reluctantly, struggling to take off his clothes.

Zhuo Er threw away his coat and took off his pants, exposing his lower body. He walked towards Shu Mei. As he approached her, she trembled with fear, her eyes filled with terror. Zhuo Er sat down on the kang and reached out to pull Shu Mei away. Shu Mei wanted to run, but as soon as she stood up, he pulled her back to the kang.

Zhuoer began to skillfully take off Shumei's pants. Shumei grabbed the waistband of her pants tightly with both hands and kicked Zhuoer's body desperately with her legs.

"You bunch of lunatics, you are all lunatics, beasts, let me go, you are worse than pigs and dogs, you will get retribution for this..."

Shumei screamed and cursed at the top of her lungs, trying to make a final desperate move. Zhuo Er, seeing that she was disobedient, slapped her hard several times.

"Shumei? It's really Shumei. It's Shumei's voice."

Boyi recognized Shumei's voice, quickly put on his clothes, and without caring about the child sleeping next to him, rushed to the next room.

Upon hearing the sound, Zhuo Er stopped his beastly behavior and looked at Boyi who rushed in.

Looking at Shumei lying under the man, crying heartbreakingly, Boyi's anger suddenly burned in his heart. He rushed over and pulled Zhuoer off the kang, and hit Zhuoer on the left cheek with a right hook.

Zhuo Er refused to suffer in vain. Coming to his senses, he raised his fist and hit Boyi back. The two began to fight back and forth, punching and kicking each other. The fool was so scared that he hid behind the door and dared not say a word.

While they were fighting, Shumei hurriedly put on her clothes and shoes.

As the fight went on, Zhuo Er took out the dagger from his body and slashed it. Even though Boyi was wearing thick clothes, a six or seven centimeter long cut was still left on his arm, and blood instantly dyed his clothes red.

Shumei was extremely anxious watching this, but she could do nothing to help.

"Who the hell are you? You're just a chair maker, why are you meddling in my family's affairs?"

"Even if I die today, I will take her away from here."

"What a joke! How can you take away a woman from my Zhuo family just like that?"

After Zhuo Er finished speaking, he stabbed Boyi with the dagger fiercely. Boyi was forced to retreat backwards. Although he tried his best to dodge, the dagger still pierced his clothes at the waist and pinned him firmly to the wall.

Zhuo Er quickly grabbed Boyi's neck with his left hand, and with his right hand, he grasped the handle of the dagger stuck in his clothes and the wall. He moved closer to Boyi and whispered in his ear, "Today, I'll teach you a lesson about meddling in other people's business."

Zhuo Er was practically pressed against Boyi, so close that they could clearly hear each other's pounding heartbeats. He began to slowly draw the dagger in his right hand, not knowing whether he wanted to finish Boyi off with one blow or let Boyi taste the pain of three blows and six punctures.

Seeing this, Shumei grabbed a jar from the table and smashed it down on Zhuoer's head. The jar fragments fell to the ground, and Zhuoer slowly loosened his grip on Boyi and fell to the ground with a thud.

Boyi touched his neck which was still aching slightly, coughed twice, and ran away with Shumei.

Just as he was about to run out of the courtyard, Boyi suddenly stopped and said, "Youchen, Youchen is still in the house!"

The two of them fell back, hugged little Youchen, and escaped from the Zhuo family together.

After all, Boyi had been in this village for more than half a month and was not too unfamiliar with the terrain. This time, with Boyi's help, Shumei finally managed to escape from the wolf's den.

Boyi, injured, and Shumei ran all night long, finally running out of the village and arriving at a relatively safe place. They found a cave to rest for a while.

"Bo Yi, why are you here?"

Sitting in the cave, Shumei asked him while bandaging Boyi's wound.

"I came here specifically to find you. I called the police to bust all the human traffickers in our town. They said they sold you here, so I brought Xiao Youchen to look for you. I searched the village for half a month but couldn't find you. I almost thought you..."

"Thank you, Boyi. Without you, I'm afraid I would really die in this place."

"It's okay, as long as you're safe."

The two looked at each other lovingly, Shumei's heart was filled with infinite gratitude towards Boyi. And Boyi's feelings for Shumei were even more indestructible.
