The old lady's reaction was the same as Li Yushu and Li Wenxue's when they learned the news. She refused to believe it at all and suggested that Meng Li look for it again.
"Mom, my eyesight is very good! I have searched countless times. My judgment is absolutely correct. There is indeed a thief in the house."
A thief? Shumei was also shocked after hearing this, and her eyes quickly fell on Wencai. All she could think of was that this must be another trap set by Wencai to drive her away.
When Wencai saw Shumei's questioning look, he quickly turned his head away, not daring to look Shumei in the eye.
The old lady glanced at everyone in the living room and her expression became serious.
"Okay, everyone is here. I don't think I need to say anything more. If you take out the things now, I won't make it difficult for you. I'll give you five minutes. If you don't take them out after five minutes, don't blame me, Meng Li, for being rude."
Meng Li pulled Li Wenxue's arm over, looked at the watch on his wrist, and started the countdown.
These five minutes seemed too long for Wencai, and he almost stood up and admitted it. But thinking about the battlefield two days later, he gritted his teeth and endured it.

"Okay, five minutes is up. I gave you a chance, but you didn't know how to cherish it. Don't blame me for not showing you any mercy." Meng Li said, then stood up and walked to the TV cabinet and picked up the phone on it. "I'm going to call the police now and have them search the place. They'll know exactly who did this."
"Meng Li, you are exaggerating too much. We are a family, why do you have to be so strict? They say that family disgrace should not be made public. You are shooting yourself in the foot." Seeing this, Li Wenxue rushed over and pressed the phone that Meng Li was already holding.
"What family? What family disgrace should not be made public? I don't think so. I gave her a chance, but she refused it. I must let the police come to appease the anger in my heart."
Meng Li and Li Wenxue started arguing, and the two old people didn't know how to persuade them, so they just stood by and worried.
Wencai understood something from Meng Li's words. He seemed to understand that Meng Li mistook Shumei for a thief.
