Chapter 370 So Open

The meal at home has been prepared, just waiting for Cheng Jingmo and Yu Xiangyang to come home.

When Cheng Jingmo walked into the house, Yu Xiangnian came to greet him with a smile, "You're back."

She has curved eyebrows and eyes full of autumn water, which looks very beautiful.

Cheng Jingmo's heart, which was already aching, felt even more painful when he saw Yu Xiangnian.

Not only did he fail to create good living conditions for Yu Xiangnian, but now he can hardly afford to support her and the child.

He raised the corners of his lips and smiled a little reluctantly, "Yeah, I'm back."

The two children also ran over, "Dad, uncle!"

Coco threw herself into Cheng Jingmo's arms, and An An ran over and hugged Yu Xiangyang's legs.

Cheng Jingmo picked up Keke and kissed her, "Daddy is back."

An An held Yu Xiangyang's legs with one hand and pointed to the yard outside with the other hand, "Snow!"

Yu Xiangyang said helplessly: "It's not snowing today!"

"Jing Mo and Xiang Yang are back!" Lin Yunyi came out of the kitchen, her face full of joy. "The meal is ready. Wash your hands and come over to eat."

Today's meal was very sumptuous, with chicken, fish and shrimp, and the table was full of dishes.

Yu Xiangyang then realized that today was Cheng Jingmo's birthday.

He complained in his heart: Why is a grown man celebrating his birthday!

After dinner, it was already dark and Yu Xiangyang went out on his bike.

Today was Cheng Jingmo's birthday, so he had to give him something to show his appreciation. But now that all the shops were closed, he could only pin his hopes on the makeshift street vendors.

He rode his bicycle slowly, his eyes fixed on the stalls. He circled around twice but didn't see anything suitable.

"Hey, young man!" A man in his fifties waved to him, "I have a lot of books here."

Yu Xiangyang looked over and saw a simple four-wheeled cart filled with many books.

Since I don’t have anything suitable, a book will do.

Yu Xiangyang rode his bicycle over and stopped, sitting on the seat with one foot pushing against the ground. "What books are there?"

"These are all books you young people like to read." The boss bent down and took out a book from the bottom of the cart and handed it over. "New books just arrived."

Yu Xiangyang took the book and looked at the cover. There was a machine gun printed on the black cover with a few words on it: On the Development Direction of Modern Weapons.

I didn't expect that there would be such a book on this kind of stall. Cheng Jingmo would probably like it.

"How much?" Yu Xiangyang asked.

"Three."

Although it was a bit expensive, Yu Xiangyang paid the money without hesitation, rolled up the book, put it in his pocket, and rode away on his bicycle.

When he was still fifty or sixty meters away from the gate, he saw a woman talking to the guard at the gate.

The woman was wearing a thick cotton coat and trousers, a scarf that covered most of her face, and a schoolbag slung over her shoulder.

She must be looking for the person living inside, and the guard is verifying her identity.

As Yu Xiangyang passed by the door, he heard the guard ask, "What is your relationship with him?"

"I'm her classmate."

A cold voice reached his ears, and Yu Xiangyang turned his head reflexively, just meeting that pair of cold eyes.

Their eyes met, and Yu Xiangyang regretted it. Why did he turn his head?!

Wen Qiuning was surprised. Wasn't Yu Xiangyang serving in the army in Nancheng? How could he be in Beijing all year round?

Yu Xiangyang wanted to pretend that he didn't recognize Wen Qiuning and continue on his way home.

But from what he heard Wen Qiuning say just now, he must have come to find Yu Xiangnian.

He came to see Yu Xiangnian so late, there must be something urgent.

Yu Xiangyang stopped his bike, still sitting on it, and asked calmly, "Mr. Wen, are you here to see Yu Xiangnian?"

Wen Qiuning hesitated for a moment and nodded, "Yes, I have something to ask Yu Xiangnian."

She knew it was getting late, but she had to wait until the bookstore closed.

Yu Xiangyang said, "Come with me."

He got off his bicycle and waited for Wen Qiuning.

Yu Xiangyang pushed the bicycle and Wen Qiuning walked on the other side of the bicycle. Neither of them spoke as they walked side by side towards home.

When Yu Xiangyang opened the door, Wen Qiuning heard laughter coming from the inner room.

"Yu Xiangnian!" Yu Xiangyang walked in first, ignoring Wen Qiuning who was still standing at the door. "Your classmate is looking for you!"

A few seconds later, Yu Xiangnian appeared in Wen Qiuning's sight. The smile on her face turned into surprise, "Wen Qiuning?"

"Come in quickly!" Yu Xiangnian ran out, "It's so cold outside, come in quickly."

Wen Qiuning said, "I'm not going in. I came here to ask for your help."

"If you have anything to say, come in and talk." Yu Xiangnian said, "Since you're here, it would be rude if you didn't."

Wen Qiuning followed Yu Xiangnian in.

The house was very lively. Song Huaiqian and his wife, Lin Ye, and Xiaojie were sitting on the sofa. They were chatting about something, and everyone had a smile on their face.

Yu Xiangyang sat on a single sofa, leaning lazily.

"Mom and Dad, this is my classmate Wen Qiuning." Yu Xiangnian introduced him to them.

"Hello, uncle and aunt." Wen Qiuning nodded.

Song Huaiqian and Lin Yunyi stood up politely, "Mr. Wen, please sit down."

Lin Ye and Xiao Jie both knew Wen Qiuning and greeted her respectively.

After Wen Qiuning greeted everyone, she sat in a corner of the sofa.

At this time, Cheng Jingmo came out of the bathroom holding a child in each hand. The child had just taken a bath and was wrapped in a large towel from head to toe.

"Student Wen, you are here. Please sit for a while." After saying hello, Cheng Jingmo carried the child upstairs.
