The three of them arrived at the bottom of the Ferris wheel.
Xiao Zhuo pointed at the towering Ferris wheel, her eyes sparkling:
"Brother and sister! Let's sit on that one! It's so tall and beautiful!"
Yan Ning smiled and nodded: "Okay."
Xie Huaiye didn't say anything, he just started taking long strides.
Silently following the two excited individuals, I headed towards the queue.
It was summer vacation, and there were quite a few people queuing up.
Soon, someone recognized them.
"Look! It's Yan Ning and Xie Huaiye!" a girl exclaimed excitedly, tugging at her companion's sleeve.
"Oh my god! They came to the amusement park together? Are they really together?" His companion's eyes widened as well.
"Who is that bouncy little kid over there?"
"Who cares! My ship is getting some sweet moments! Ahhh!"
Exclamations and the clicking sounds of cell phones secretly taking pictures filled the surrounding area.
Yan Ning was bending down to help Xiao Zhu straighten her hat, which had been rubbed askew.
Completely oblivious to the commotion around them.
Xie Huaiye heard it clearly.
The corners of his mouth curved upwards almost imperceptibly.
His gaze fell on Yan Ning's focused profile.
I'm in a strange mood.
Soon it was their turn.
"Finally, we're on the Ferris wheel!"
Xiao Zhuo, like a little monkey, climbed onto the seats in the private room using both hands and feet.
His whole face was pressed against the glass, his nose was flattened, "Brothers and sisters, look! The lights below look like little stars!"
Yan Ning was amused by him and reached out to pull him down to sit properly:
"Sit still, don't move around, or you'll fall."
She carefully straightened Xiaozhuo's disheveled collar.
Xie Huaiye was the last to come in.
His tall figure made the already small round private room seem even more crowded.
He naturally sat down next to Yan Ning.
The long leg inevitably brushed lightly against Yan Ning's knee.
"Xie Zhuo, sit down properly," he said softly.
But his gaze swept over Xiao Zhu's excited back of the head.
It landed on Yan Ning's smiling profile.
The door to the private room slowly closed, shutting out the noise from the queuing area outside.
The Ferris wheel started, emitting a slight mechanical hum.
The private room smoothly lifted off the ground.
The city's dazzling lights unfolded beneath my feet.
The lights are dazzling, like rivers of light.
"It's so beautiful," Yan Ning exclaimed sincerely.
She leaned back in her chair, relaxing, and admired the ever-expanding night view.
"Yes, it is indeed very beautiful," Xie Huaiye replied.
This time, he saw it openly and honestly.
Under the soft, dim light of the overhead lamp.
Yan Ning's eyelashes, like small fans, cast a faint shadow under her eyes.
The slight upturn of her lips was more captivating to him than the neon lights outside the window.
The private room was too small.
Xie Huaiye adjusted his posture slightly.
Her arm brushed against Yan Ning's arm unintentionally.
Yan Ning stiffened slightly, feeling as if she had been electrocuted where she had been touched.
She didn't move, nor did she look at him.
A barely perceptible blush crept up her ears.
My heart seems to be beating a little faster.
"Brother!" Xiao Zhuo suddenly turned her head.
Holding up a nearly melted strawberry ice cream, she asked, "Do you want some?"
Xie Huaiye was about to say no.
Xiao Zhuo lost her footing because she turned around too quickly.
He suddenly slumped towards Xie Huaiye!
"Watch out!" Yan Ning and Xie Huaiye shouted at the same time.
Xie Huaiye quickly shielded Xiaozhuo with his hand.
Xiao Zhuo couldn't hold onto any of the ice creams properly.
"Snap!"
A small dollop of pink cream landed squarely on Xie Huaiye's black shirt cuff.
"Ah! I'm so sorry, brother!" Xiao Zhu cried out in surprise.
Yan Ning was also startled and subconsciously looked up at Xie Huaiye.
The distance between the two suddenly closed.
Xie Huaiye leaned slightly forward to support Xiao Zhuo and steady himself.
When Yan Ning looked up, his forehead almost brushed against Yan Ning's chin.
His warm breath brushed lightly across the top of her hair.
Their eyes met.
Time seemed to stretch out at that moment.
The lights outside the window became flowing ribbons of light.
Only their breathing could be heard in the private room.
Light shone in Xie Huaiye's deep eyes.
It also clearly reflected Yan Ning's somewhat flustered face.
He didn't immediately pull his hand back on the chair back; his knuckles tightened slightly.
"Are you... alright?" Yan Ning was the first to come to her senses.
Her voice was soft, her gaze falling on the stain on Xie Huaiye's cuff, "Your clothes are dirty..."
Xie Huaiye then looked down and said calmly, "It's alright, it's nothing."
He slowly withdrew his hand and sat up straight.
Xiao Zhu was still looking at the lump of cream with annoyance: "It's all my fault, I didn't hold it properly..."
Yan Ning quickly took out a tissue and handed it to Xie Huaiye: "Hurry up and wipe yourself."
Xie Huaiye took the tissue and slowly wiped his cuffs.
As he moved, he glanced up at Yan Ning.
She was bowing her head and gently comforting Xiaozhuo.
The blush on her cheeks had not completely faded.
It's as if it's been imbued with the lingering glow of the sunset outside the window.
A faint smile appeared on Xie Huaiye's lips.
That brief moment of closeness.
The fragrance was so close at hand.
And the clear reflection in her eyes...
It seems to stir the heart even more than the slowly rising Ferris wheel.
The small private room continued to rise.
The atmosphere was subtly quiet.
Xiao Zhuo quietly licked her ice cream.
Yan Ning looked out the window, her heart still pounding.
Xie Huaiye looked at the pink stain on his cuff that he couldn't wipe off.
