Chapter 164 After getting drunk, Yan Ning kissed Xie Huaiye in a corner of the garden.

Xie Huaiye got up almost immediately.

He caught her swaying body.

He looked at Master Ye, his voice carrying a suppressed coldness:

“Master Ye, I’ll see her out.”

Master Ye noticed that Yan Ning was clearly drunk.

Especially Xie Huaiye's cold gaze.

A chill ran through me, but I still smiled outwardly:

"Oh dear, young man, your alcohol tolerance is still a bit low. Hurry back, it's chilly outside, be careful not to catch a cold!"

Xie Huaiye said no more.

Half-supporting and half-carrying the staggering Yan Ning, they quickly left the noisy banquet.

Walk towards the relatively quiet garden.

The cool evening breeze brushed against their burning faces.

Ye Qingling watched their departing figures.

The fingers gripping the wine glass tightened slightly.

The smile on his lips faded.

The night breeze was slightly cool.

The smell of alcohol on Yan Ning's body couldn't be dispelled.

She staggered, like a kitten that had just learned to walk.

It meanders along the stone path in the garden.

"Let me go!"

She mumbled, her voice soft and sticky.

She tried to shake off Xie Huaiye's hand that was tightly gripping her arm, "I...I can still fight three hundred more rounds! Let's drink another pot!"

Xie Huaiye frowned slightly.

His arms, however, were like the strongest vines, firmly encircling her.

"Yan Ning, you're drunk."

His voice was low as he said, "If you keep drinking, you'll be the one with a headache tomorrow."

"Who...who's drunk!"

Yan Ning turned her head defiantly, glaring at him with blurry, drunken eyes.

Unfortunately, it lacks any intimidating power and instead exudes a charmingly naive air.

She suddenly stopped and squatted down as if being unreasonable.

She hugged a cluster of roses in full bloom nearby, exclaiming, "I won't leave! I...I want to see the fish!"

There is no fish pond here.

Helpless, Xie Huaiye bent down to help her up.

Yan Ning suddenly looked up, her eyes sparkling as she gazed at him with a childlike slyness:

"Then carry me on your back! Carry me to see the fish!"

She stretched out her hand like a little girl begging for candy, "Quick! Xie Huaiye, carry me!"

Xie Huaiye looked at her flushed cheeks and her watery, misty eyes.

Something inexplicably struck my heart.

The words of refusal lingered on the tip of my tongue, but I ultimately didn't say them.

He sighed resignedly and crouched down slightly in front of her.

"Come up. This is a one-time offer, and there will be no next time."

"Yay!"

Yan Ning cheered and cuddled up to his back.

Her arms immediately wrapped around his neck.

Warm breath, carrying the scent of wine, sprayed onto his neck and ears.

Xie Huaiye's body stiffened slightly.

He then steadily supported her knees and helped her stand up straight.

She was very light, but her presence was incredibly strong.

"Let's go! Let's go see the big fish!"

Yan Ning excitedly swung her legs on his back.

She pressed her cheek against his broad shoulders and back, rubbing against him comfortably.

Xie Huaiye carried her on his back and walked slowly along the path.

The moonlight cast long shadows of them overlapping.

She could clearly feel the lines and warmth of his back muscles.

He was enveloped by her soft body and shallow breathing.

The air was filled with the fragrance of flowers.

There seemed to be an indescribable, almost scorching, atmosphere permeating the air.

After walking for a while...

Yan Ning suddenly pointed to a pool of water in front of her that was shimmering under the moonlight.

It was a small lotus pot.

"Fish! There's a fish there!"

She excitedly patted his shoulder, "Put me down! I want to go fishing!"

Helpless, Xie Huaiye carefully put her down.

As soon as Yan Ning's feet touched the ground, he stumbled and fell towards the lotus pot.

She leaned over the edge of the vat, peering inside in a drunken stupor.

"Where are the fish? Little fish, come out quickly!"

She reached out and haphazardly stirred the water, splashing it up.

It dampened her cuffs and Xie Huaiye's collar.

"careful!"

Xie Huaiye quickly stepped forward and gently supported her from behind, afraid that she would fall headfirst into the hole.

Yan Ning was having a great time playing in the water; the cool water seemed to excite her even more.

She suddenly turned around.

Her wet hands reached for Xie Huaiye's sleeve.

Her flushed little face was tilted up, her eyes glazed yet focused as she looked at him, giggling:

"Xie Huaiye, will you be my fishing rod? I'll cast you in and catch the biggest fish!"

As she spoke, she actually pushed him with all her might.

I wanted to push him towards the edge of the jar.

Xie Huaiye was both amused and exasperated, but also worried that she might fall over if she used too much force.

He could only try to steady himself while carefully grabbing her wildly flailing wrists.

"Stop fooling around, Yan Ning, there are no fish in the tank."

The two were playfully pulling and tugging at each other by the edge of the vat.

Yan Ning wasn't very strong, but he possessed a stubbornness born of drunkenness.

Her entire body was almost entirely nestled in his supporting arms.

The damp, cold sleeves clung to his warm arms, their breaths mingling.

The moonlight outlined her graceful neckline and the slightly open neckline from her playful antics.

Xie Huaiye's breathing unconsciously became heavier.

Just as he was trying to create a little distance between her and him—

Yan Ning slipped again.

This time, I stepped on the edge of the tank and the water splashed out.

She gasped in surprise, completely losing her balance and falling straight backward!

Xie Huaiye's pupils contracted, his reaction was extremely fast.

With a long arm, he pulled her back forcefully!

The immense inertia caused the two of them to stagger backward two steps before regaining their balance.

But their posture became incredibly intimate.

Yan Ning was almost entirely held tightly in Xie Huaiye's arms.

Her back was pressed tightly against his firm chest.
