Yan Ning had just left the ward.
Su Yunting, who was just crying his heart out.
She immediately wiped her face with her sleeve, wiping away her tears completely.
He moved closer to Su Chengyue, his tone impatient:
"Dad, now that my brother is gone, what's the deal with the company and savings he left behind...?"
"We can't really give Yan Ning her share, can we? You saw how she acted just now!"
Su Muyao, who was standing nearby, quickly chimed in, feigning a sigh:
"Yes, Grandpa, Sister Yan Ning is so heartless. Uncle dotes on her so much, but she..."
"Sigh, these assets should be handed over to someone who truly cares about the family to manage."
Su Yao immediately nodded, trying to cover it up:
"Yes, yes, yes! My sister and I are thinking of investing in a project recently."
"We just need some start-up capital, Grandpa, what do you think..."
The group chatted amongst themselves.
Like a swarm of flies buzzing around.
Su Chengyue looked at his children, who had just been crying their eyes out but were now only thinking about fighting for the inheritance.
My temples were throbbing, and I felt like I had a splitting headache.
He was so angry that his lips trembled, and he really wanted to unleash a torrent of abuse.
Just then, "Knock knock—"
The ward door was pushed open.
Butler Liu walked in, carrying a thick file, his face expressionless.
It instantly interrupted everyone.
The room fell silent immediately.
All eyes were fixed on the document in Butler Liu's hand.
Su Chengyue rubbed his temples and asked wearily:
"Old Liu, what's up?"
Butler Liu bowed slightly, his voice clear and calm:
"Sir, this is the will that the deceased made before his death. It has been notarized by a lawyer and was just delivered here."
A will?!
Su Yunting's eyes lit up instantly, and he leaned closer:
"A will? Let me see it! What does it say?"
Butler Liu stepped aside, ignoring Su Yunting.
He looked directly at Su Chengyue and said:
"Seventy percent of all the property under Mr. Yan Ning's name shall belong to Miss Yan Ning."
"The remaining thirty percent belongs to you, sir."
These words were like a bomb, leaving the group stunned.
"What?!!"
Su Yunting was the first to scream, "Seventy percent went to Yan Ning?! What about us? What about our family? Not a single penny?!"
Jiang Lan panicked and stepped forward to take the will:
"This is impossible! Let me see! How could Yanting have arranged it this way?"
Butler Liu raised his hand to block her, his tone cold:
"Sorry, you do not have permission to view this."
Su Muyao's face turned deathly pale, and she shrieked:
"Why should we! Is Uncle senile? We're the ones who are with him every day!"
Su Yao chimed in, "Exactly! Yan Ning didn't even save her father, why should she get the most!"
At this moment.
Butler Liu suddenly coughed.
He took a step forward, his sharp gaze sweeping over Su Yunting and Jiang Lan, his voice icy as he said:
"Mr. Yunting, Mrs. Lan, there are some things I shouldn't have said, but I simply couldn't bear to watch any longer today!"
"The man's body is barely cold, and you're already fighting over the inheritance. How can you live with yourselves?"
Su Yunting was stunned for a moment, then became furious and embarrassed:
"You're just a servant, what right do you have to speak here?!"
"Servants?"
Butler Liu stood ramrod straight, refusing to back down, "I've served you for thirty years, and I see things more clearly than anyone else!"
He suddenly pointed at Su Yunting: "You say you've made contributions to the company? During the two years you were the branch manager, how much company money did you embezzle? How many times did you gamble it away?"
"If it weren't for the fact that the gentleman had secretly given you money to cover your losses time and time again, you would have been in jail long ago!"
Su Yunting was instantly dumbfounded.
His face turned deathly pale, his lips trembled, and he couldn't utter a single word.
How could these things he thought he had kept perfectly secret...?
Butler Liu then turned to Jiang Lan, whose face had turned pale:
"And Madam Lan, how much of the investment you made privately under the company's name lost? How much of it was transferred to your own name?"
"Do you really think the gentleman knew nothing at all? He just turned a blind eye out of consideration for our relationship!"
"What face do you have to argue here now? How many times did you visit him in his final days? How long were you there for him? What can you do besides ask for money?"
"Miss Yan Ning won't save you, but what about you? You've emptied this family out of poverty!"
Butler Liu became more and more excited as he spoke, his chest heaving.
These words were like a few resounding slaps in the face.
They slapped Su Yunting and Jiang Lan hard across the face.
They stood frozen in place, their faces flushed and pale, wishing they could disappear into the ground.
Su Muyao and Su Yao were also stunned and dared not breathe.
A deathly silence.
Finally, Su Chengyue let out a heavy sigh.
He watched the farce unfold before him, his heart filled with mixed emotions.
This house is a complete mess, a total disaster...
Su Chengyue waved wearily, his voice hoarse but undeniably authoritative:
"That's enough... Stop talking."
"Old Liu, keep the will safe."
His gaze swept heavily over his good-for-nothing children before him, and finally he closed his eyes in despair.
"Do as Yanting says. Anyone who dares to cause trouble again, get out of the Su family!"
...
On the other side.
Yan Ning walked out of the hospital building in a daze.
The night wind carried a chill as it brushed against her face.
But it couldn't dispel the numbness and dull pain in my heart.
The light cast a long shadow over her, making her appear even more alone.
The world is vast, but she doesn't know where to go.
