In the mirror, the woman in the red dress smiled, a strange smile.
Suddenly, a hand with red nail polish reached out from the mirror!
The arm, like a wisp of red smoke, passed through the mirror.
He waved gently at Su Muyao—
"Whoosh!"
A beam of blood-red light shot out from the mirror and instantly engulfed her.
"Ah!" Su Muyao only cried out once.
She felt as if her body was being torn apart and then pieced back together.
One moment it's burning hot, the next it's freezing cold.
A few seconds later, the red light disappeared.
Everything returned to normal.
Su Muyao sat on the ground, panting heavily, her whole body trembling.
She suddenly came to her senses.
She quickly crawled to the dressing table and looked fearfully at the mirror—
In the mirror...
It was a familiar face.
His eyebrows were curved, and the corners of his mouth were slightly upturned.
She touched her face in disbelief.
The skin my fingertips touched was smooth and delicate; it was Yan Ning's bright and beautiful face.
"Very good……"
She murmured softly to herself, "I really have become her... I really have become Yan Ning!"
An immense sense of happiness exploded in her heart like fireworks.
It made her want to spin around on the spot.
She was no longer someone who could only hide in a corner.
Su Muyao silently looked up to Xie Huaiye!
The woman in the red dress smiled.
He gave her a meaningful smile and said:
"Now you can go find your brother Huaiye; he's on his way to the garden."
Su Muyao practically skipped out of the room.
Their steps were so light they seemed to be flying.
The cool night air carried a rich floral fragrance.
It tastes sweet when inhaled into the lungs.
She hurried to the garden, where the soft grass barely covered her ankles.
She looked around, feeling both nervous and expectant.
My palms were sweating a little.
Brother Huaiye...
She could finally approach him in the most legitimate and intimate way.
Just thinking about that.
She was so excited that her whole body trembled slightly.
Sure enough, she didn't have to be anxious for long.
A familiar voice, the one she longed for, came from the side:
"Yan Ning?"
Xie Huaiye walked out from under a lush pear tree.
A hint of doubt lingered between his brows:
"Why are you out so late?"
Su Muyao turned around abruptly.
I saw Xie Huaiye's tall figure and handsome face under the moonlight.
Excitement instantly overwhelmed the tension.
She blurted it out almost without thinking, her voice tinged with excitement:
"Brother Huaiye! I...I can't sleep, so I came out for a walk to get some fresh air."
Xie Huaiye was clearly taken aback for a moment before slowly approaching.
He didn't speak immediately.
His gaze, tinged with inquiry, fell upon Yan Ning's face.
It was as if they were trying to find something unusual on that familiar face.
Yan Ning's eyes were too bright, and her tone was too soft.
It carried a kind of...unfamiliar sense of dependence.
Su Muyao felt guilty under his gaze.
Her palms were slightly sweaty. She tilted her head, trying to appear calm, and her voice softened further:
"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"
The doubt in Xie Huaiye's eyes deepened.
But it quickly turned into a playful smile.
He habitually reached out and ruffled Yan Ning's hair:
"Brother Huaiye? Has the sun risen in the west?"
"When did our fearless Miss Yan Ning learn to use such a sweet nickname?"
In his memory, Yan Ning either called him Xie Huaiye by his full name.
Either just give him a quick and clean meal.
Su Muyao's heart tightened, fearing that she would be seen through.
She quickly lowered her head, twisting her fingers around the hem of her skirt, and muttered softly:
"Um, it's just... I just suddenly wanted to call you that... Is that not allowed?"
Xie Huaiye felt that Yan Ning was unusually different tonight.
This unusual naiveté struck him as novel and intriguing.
He chuckled softly, his tone indulgent, "Sure, why not? Ningning will agree to anything."
At this moment, Su Muyao mustered up her courage.
Suddenly, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Xie Huaiye's waist.
She buried her burning cheeks in his strong, warm chest.
Xie Huaiye's body suddenly stiffened.
I was completely stunned.
This is so unlike Yan Ning!
Yan Ning might put her arm around him while drinking, or use him as a shield when they fight.
But she would never offer herself up like that.
She adopted such a petite and dependent posture.
The person in my arms is soft and supple.
It carries a strange, alluring fragrance.
Xie Huaiye hesitated for a moment.
Finally, he raised his hand and gently hugged her back, his voice softening slightly:
"What's wrong? Why are you being so clingy tonight?"
Su Muyao snuggled against him, her voice muffled, yet trembling with longing:
"Huaiye...I miss you so much..."
Xie Huaiye frowned almost imperceptibly.
They had just seen each other in the evening.
He lowered his head, his lips almost touching her earlobe, his warm breath brushing against her:
"Huh? I stole a kiss from you this afternoon when there weren't many people around, and you almost threw me over your shoulder. Is this a change of heart now?"
Su Muyao looked up.
Her eyes were unfocused, and her cheeks were flushed.
She looked at him with a wet, dewy gaze.
She even boldly raised her hand.
He touched the button on Xie Huaiye's shirt with his fingertips, his voice as soft as a whisper:
"Then...can you...kiss me now?"
