Chapter 6 Going to school tomorrow, in the same class as Su Muyao.

Yan Ning lowered her eyes, tears glistening in them. "The golden gourd my master gave me is gone. It was just in my room a moment ago, and it's gone in the blink of an eye!"

Jiang Lan pressed further, "Have you searched all the rooms?"

Yan Ning nodded. "We've searched everywhere, but still nothing."

She then feigned innocence and said, "Aunt Chen came to my room just now, and I couldn't find her after she left."

Upon hearing "Aunt Chen," Jiang Lan's expression changed. "Aunt Chen has worked for our family for a long time; she wouldn't do something like this, would she..."

At this moment, Su Chengyue walked over, his expression somewhat grave. "What happened? Yan Ning, what were you shouting just now?"

Yan Ning repeated her story with a wronged expression. Su Chengyue's face darkened, and he said to the servant beside him:

"Go and fetch Aunt Chen right now!"

Several servants immediately searched the villa for Aunt Chen.

Aunt Chen was hiding in her small room, admiring the little golden gourd, when she heard someone calling her name.

Startled, she quickly hid the little golden gourd under her pillow and hurriedly ran out.

She ran up to the three men, lowered her head, and whispered, "Master, I'm here."

Su Chengyue asked seriously, "Yan Ning said she lost a golden gourd. You were the only one who went into her room during that time. Did you take it?"

Aunt Chen shook her head frantically and loudly defended herself:

"I'm innocent! It really wasn't me! I've worked for the Su family for over ten years, there's no way I would do something like this!"

Jiang Lan also spoke up for Aunt Chen, "Dad, I know Aunt Chen's character. This must be a misunderstanding. Let's look for her again."

Yan Ning's eyes filled with tears. "But only Aunt Chen has been in my room. Who else could it be but her?"

"Auntie, do you believe her but not me?"

Jiang Lan quickly shook her head, "Yan Ning, that's not what I meant. Of course I believe you."

Su Chengyue frowned and said to the maid beside him, "Go and search Aunt Chen's room to see if there is a golden gourd."

"Madam, I really didn't, please help me!"

Aunt Chen was terrified, her eyes filled with panic, her hands trembling slightly as she looked to Jiang Lan for help.

Jiang Lan sighed, turned her head away, and pretended not to see.

A moment later, the servant came over with the small golden gourd and said loudly:

"Found it! It's under Aunt Chen's pillow!"

Su Chengyue's brow furrowed with anger, and he said loudly:

"Aunt Chen, considering you've worked here for over ten years, I won't call the police. Now pack your things and leave!"

"Sir, I was wrong, please, please give me another chance!" Aunt Chen pleaded desperately.

Yan Ning retrieved the small golden gourd, thanked Su Chengyue, and turned to return to her room.

Xiao Shi asked from the side, "Sister, how did you know Aunt Chen would steal your things?"

Yan Ning smiled and said calmly, "Your appearance reflects your heart. The first time I saw her, I could tell that her eyes were shaky and that she was dishonest. She usually likes to take advantage of others. This time, she was just trying to catch a fish."

Xiao Shi happily turned around and said, "Wow, sister is amazing!"

Yan Ning paused for a moment, then continued, "However, after this incident, Jiang Lan's confidant was eliminated."

"She'll probably hate me to death and will immediately come up with a new way to get back at me."

After Yan Ning returned to her room, Su Muyao ran to Jiang Lan's side and asked in surprise, "Mom, what happened? Why did Aunt Chen suddenly leave?"

Jiang Lan sighed, "Aunt Chen stole her little golden gourd, but she was caught before she could hide it properly."

Su Muyao was shocked. "How could Aunt Chen steal things? She's taken care of me for so long, and nothing like this has ever happened to her. Could it be that Su Yanning framed her?"

Jiang Lan looked at Yan Ning's room with a complicated expression. "Aunt Chen did steal something, but she was discovered too quickly."

"It was discovered as soon as she took it, as if Su Yanning deliberately lured her to steal it."

Su Muyao's eyes widened, and she cursed, "It must be that bitch Su Yanning's doing! Uncle was dying and suddenly came back, just for the inheritance! She even took Aunt Chen away, she's so wicked!"

“Originally, my uncle passed away and his inheritance should have been divided among us, but now there’s another woman fighting for it!”

Jiang Lan pondered for a moment, then looked at Su Muyao and asked, "Muyao, did a student transfer out of your class before?"

Su Muyao nodded. "Yes, we're still missing one person."

Jiang Lan smiled, a glint of ruthlessness flashing in her eyes. "Su Yanning hasn't been to school for eighteen years. It's time to let her experience the hardships of going to school."

"I'll talk to Teacher Qiao tomorrow and ask her to transfer to your and Su Yao's class. You two can take good care of her then."

Su Muyao narrowed her eyes and took Jiang Lan's arm. "Mom, you're really something. You can't do anything to her at home, but at school, which is my territory, it's a different story, hehe."

Inside the room.

Yan Ning was reading a book. Although she had never been to school, her master had taught her to read and write since she was a child, and she had developed a habit of reading every day.

There was a sudden knock on the door. Yan Ning paused for a moment and then said, "Come in."

Jiang Lan walked in with a smile, carrying several new clothes. "Yan Ning, your aunt bought you some new clothes. Take a look and see if you like them."

Yan Ning glanced at the clothes; the colors were extremely gaudy, styles she never wore. She said softly, "Thank you, Auntie, but these clothes are a bit too brightly colored."

“My father is seriously ill now, and I just got home. I don’t want to dress too flamboyantly.”
