"We have nothing to say to each other."

He turned to the side, preparing to walk past her and leave. "Go back, it's chilly at night."

The cold rejection pierced Su Muyao's heart like a needle.

The courage she had finally mustered vanished almost instantly, and her eyes involuntarily reddened slightly.

Feelings of grievance and confusion welled up inside me.

He turned around, looking at her calmly, but beneath that calm was an unfathomable distance. "That's all in the past."

He turned again, preparing to return to the camp.

Watching Xie Huaiye's resolute departure, Su Muyao could no longer control the emotions she had been suppressing.

A thought that she had never dared to consider, yet which she couldn't shake off, suddenly came to her lips:

"Is it because of that Su Yanning?!"

Xie Huaiye's steps suddenly stopped.

Su Muyao's voice was trembling with tears and accusation: "Is it because of her that you treated me like this?!"

"Brother Huaiye, could it be... could it be that you really want to marry her?"
