Chapter 68 They made a fortune off your death.

Zhang Chufeng quickly chimed in, "Yes, Mr. Zhou, we really have potential. Please give us another chance!"

Zhou Tian simply stared at them coldly, his eyes unwavering.

He said slowly, "Rules are rules, and no one is exempt. The fact that you don't have medals means that you haven't completed the mission."

"Since the task was not completed, being eliminated is only natural."

Chen Chen wanted to say something more, but Zhang Chufeng stopped her.

Zhang Chufeng said in a low voice, "Stop talking, it's no use. We've already lost, and now we can only accept reality."

Chen Chen gritted his teeth, a hint of resentment flashing in his eyes.

He turned to look at Yan Ning, silently clenching his fists, his eyes filled with resentment.

Yan Ning asked calmly, "Can we leave now?"

Zhou Tian smiled and said, "Of course, remember to come to the recording of the second episode in a few days."

"OK".

Yan Ning made a gesture and strode away.

After leaving the amusement park, Yan Ning immediately began searching for Ye Zi's parents.

She took out a tracking talisman, whispered an incantation, and the talisman emitted a faint blue light, pointing into the distance.

Yan Ning followed the direction of the light and searched all the way.

She walked through bustling streets and across noisy markets, finally arriving at a secluded corner.

In a dilapidated little room, Yan Ning saw Ye Zi's parents.

The house was filled with a pungent smell, and various kinds of garbage were scattered on the floor, while the walls were covered with stains.

An old woman with a vicious face was cursing and swearing, holding a feather duster in her hand, venting her anger on a corner of dilapidated furniture.

The shirtless old man lay on the sofa cracking sunflower seeds, muttering something indistinctly.

Another young man was curled up on the sofa smoking, the smoke filling the entire room.

Yan Ning frowned, opened the bottle cap, and leaves floated out.

Ye Zi said quietly, "After all these years, they are still the same as before, without any change."

The old woman seemed to see someone outside, suddenly opened the window, threw a ladle of dirty water out, and muttered curses as she did so.

"Whose little brat is wandering around outside? Don't block my light!"

The dirty water almost spilled on Yan Ning, and she quickly took two steps back, frowning as she said:

"What kind of manners are these!"

She looked at Ye Zi beside her and asked, "Have you thought it through? Are you sure you want revenge?"

Ye Zi nodded, her eyes resolute, and said, "Letting them live in peace for so many years is the greatest reward for them."

"They must pay for the suffering I endured."

Yan Ning sighed, nodded, glanced at Ye Zi, and said:

"Goodbye then, I hope you get what you want."

Ye Zi smiled and said, "Thank you, Yan Ning. If it weren't for you, I might never have had this opportunity."

After saying that, she turned into a wisp of black smoke and drifted into the house.

Inside the house, the old woman was still cursing and swearing.

Suddenly, the cup slipped from her hand and shattered on the ground.

The old woman was stunned for a moment, not yet able to react.

"Whoosh—"

The window slammed shut, hitting her squarely on the bridge of her nose.

She screamed, clutching her nose as blood trickled from between her fingers.

"Ouch, my nose!"

The old woman rolled on the ground in pain, cursing, "Who did this? What heartless bastard!"

The shirtless old man heard the noise, looked up, and cursed:

"You old codger, what are you making a scene about in broad daylight?"

The young man looked up, frowned, and said, "Mom, what's wrong with you now?"

The old woman covered her nose, pointed to the window, and said loudly:

"Look, the window closed by itself and even hit my nose!"

The old man and the young man exchanged a glance, both showing an impatient expression.

The old man said, "Are you dreaming again? A window closing by itself? That's impossible!"

The young man chimed in, "Mom, have you had too much to drink again? Stop making a scene here, it's so annoying!"

The old woman's face turned red with anger, and she shouted, "You two heartless bastards! I've raised you for so many years, and this is how you treat me?"

The old man waved his hand impatiently and said:

"Alright, alright, stop nagging here. I'll go get you some medicine."

The young man got up, walked to the window, glanced out, and said:

"Mom, the window wasn't closed properly, the wind blew it shut. Stop making a scene here!"

The old woman was about to say something more when suddenly she felt a chill come from behind her.

She turned around and saw a dark figure moving around in the room.

She cried out in terror, "Look! There's a ghost!"

The old man and the young man were both startled when they heard her scream.

The young man mustered his courage and said, "There are no ghosts, don't scare people like that!"

However, at that moment, the atmosphere in the room suddenly became strange.

A gust of cold wind blew by, and the lights in the room flickered, as if something was wandering around the room.

The old woman was so frightened that she collapsed to the ground, muttering to herself:

"May the Bodhisattva protect you, may the Bodhisattva protect you..."

The old man and the young man also felt uneasy. They looked at each other, unsure of what to do.

Suddenly, the temperature in the room plummeted, and a sinister atmosphere filled the entire room.
