Chapter 16 Counterattack: Get Out or Die

Chapter 16 Counterattack: Get Out or Die

The little zombie gripped the straightened railing and turned to look at the boy.

Seeing the boy's astonished expression, he became even more excited.

In the next half minute, the little zombie happily twisted and turned the cold iron bars, wishing it could twist them into a pretzel.

However, no matter how hard the material is, it can't withstand such torment. Moreover, this cold iron is only made harder by mixing in the marrow of the Iron-Spine Beast, and it can't be considered a divine weapon.

So, with a "crack" sound, the little zombie flew out, grabbing a piece of iron rod.

The boy who witnessed this scene was numb.

When the little zombie returned, clutching the broken piece of cold iron railing, he was able to calmly ask, "Could you help me break these chains?"

The boy was pierced by twenty iron chains, and his body was covered in countless wounds, with the red scales appearing to be of varying depths.

However, upon closer inspection, one can see that those dull-colored "scales" are not scales at all, but rather open, spindle-shaped wounds.

These wounds had beads of blood seeping inside but not dripping out, creating the appearance of bloody holes, which was very creepy.

The little zombie only glanced at it before bending its legs and kicking off the ground.

Although his joints were not flexible, he was incredibly strong. With that jump, he not only created two craters in the ground, but also used the force to leap into the air.

He grabbed the chain, swung his body, and then with a strong pull, he yanked the end of the chain off the ceiling.

The chains had been taken down from the wall or ceiling, but they were still on the boy's body.

These chains didn't feel like much to the little zombie, but they were extremely heavy for the boy. If he left them embedded in his body, he wouldn't be able to get up at all.

The boy's expression was calm and indifferent: "It's okay, just pull it out. This little bit of pain is enough to make me scream!"

The boy's composure crumbled instantly.

The little zombie held one end of the chain and looked at him innocently.

The boy was about to say something when a series of chaotic footsteps suddenly rang out in the distance.

"Who goes there! How dare you trespass on our clan's forbidden territory!"

The little zombie hadn't held back when it pulled the chains off the wall; such a loud noise could be heard even by someone with hearing loss, let alone a cultivator with keen senses.

Before long, they were surrounded by a group of human cultivators.

Ever since the boy called him a "human," the little zombie's eyes had been shining brightly, but now, seeing everyone pointing their swords at him, the light in the little zombie's eyes completely disappeared.

No one saw how he made his move, not even the scaly boy.

Everyone felt a gust of wind brush past them, and before they knew it, they were on their way to the underworld.

One wave after another came charging with swords, and one after another they fell down.

The little zombies were practically stepping over corpses as they walked towards the exit.

The boy looked pained, but the wound he was covering was still throbbing with pain, reminding him of what he had endured over the past century.

He gritted his teeth and remained silent.

The little zombie didn't seem to feel anything.

Zombies bite and eat people, and humans kill zombies—this is all perfectly normal.

The little zombie's mind can only think about one thing at a time, and right now, all he's thinking about is how to survive these human attacks.

The fish-scaled boy had no fighting ability and could only serve as a guide for the little zombies.

It wasn't that he knew the structure of the place, but by observing the movements of the cultivators and the direction they came from, the boy understood that they were currently underground.

The exit was overhead. Neither he nor the little zombie could fly, so they could only fight the human cultivators while searching for the way to the exit.

Finally, after about fifteen minutes, they found a spiral stone staircase leading upwards.

The first step wasn't very high, but because it had been dark for years, it was covered with a layer of some kind of sticky liquid. The little zombie, with its short arms and legs, had to be careful not to fall, as it was very difficult to climb up.

The boy was seriously injured and could barely take care of himself, so he had no energy left to help the little zombie. All he could do was follow behind the little zombie and not hold it back.

As the little zombie climbed more and more stairs, all he could think about was "climbing the stairs steadily," and he forgot that he was being chased by humans.

So when he finally climbed to the last step and looked up to see a fireball bigger than an iron pot, he didn't even realize what was happening.

Seeing this, the boy quickly pulled him away. However, the fireball was just an illusion. In the instant they dodged, the fireball immediately scattered and turned into a wall of fire, forcibly separating them.

"fall!"

With a sharp shout, the wall of fire immediately crashed down. Although it was a fire spell, the speed of the attack was not slow at all, and it broke the steps around the little zombie in an instant.

The little zombie was standing in a position with no extra footholds. The steps were broken, and the surrounding area was full of fire. The only exit was directly above, so he could only push off the ground and leap upwards.

But just as his body leaped into the air, the other party was already waiting for him.

A black dome suddenly pounced, swallowed the little zombie, and then immediately stretched and closed, shrinking to the size of a palm in a mere second before flying back into the operator's hand at the command.

The young man in a dark blue robe curled the corners of his lips: "Just stay inside and refine my magic weapon."

He formed his right hand into a claw, and visible heat gathered in his palm. Just as he was about to inhale and refine the magic weapon along with the little zombie, a "snap" suddenly rang out from the entrance of the blazing flames.

The young man put away the fire and walked over to look down.

It was just dawn, and the first rays of sunlight shone from the horizon, making the world seem even darker.

He had just cut off the steps connecting the entrance and exit, and a few centimeters from the break, a brightly colored red fish was struggling on the stone steps.

The fish was only the size of a palm, with blood-red scales and golden fins and barbels. More than half of its body was scaleless, and blood droplets were constantly seeping out, giving it a strange golden-red appearance in the sunlight.

A look of joy flashed in the young man's eyes, and he quickly raised his hand to form a hand seal.

A red glowing dome suddenly appeared out of thin air, enveloping the red fish, and then began to frantically absorb the blood from its body.

The red fish struggled painfully, bobbing its body up and then crashing down, black smoke billowing from its body. Even from this distance, the sizzling sound of it being roasted could be heard.

The young man frowned as he looked at the scene: "Why is there so little blood?"

He had just drawn his sword to stab the red fish when a loud "boom" suddenly came from behind him.

The young man suddenly felt unsteady internally and spat out a mouthful of blood.

He managed to steady himself, and when he looked up, he saw a child who was not even as tall as his thigh standing there, with bare, bluish-gray feet surrounded by fragments of magical artifacts of various sizes.

The young man felt a chill run down his spine.

"What are you?"

The Suanni had actually said this to the little zombie as well.

But the Suanni's tone was only curious, and it didn't seem to have any malicious intent, so the little zombie didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

But now, the human a few steps away from him had a fierce expression and a disgusted tone, holding a sword in one hand and three talismans in the other, practically saying with his whole body, "I'm going to kill you."

So the little zombie made its move.

He charged towards the youth like a cannonball, so fast that he was almost invisible to the naked eye. The youth wasn't stupid; realizing he couldn't take the hit, he immediately moved aside.

The little zombie missed him, but punched the ground, instantly causing the ground to crack into a spiderweb pattern several meters long, centered on his fist.

The young man was barely holding on because his magic weapon was destroyed. He dodged the first attack from the little zombie, but he couldn't dodge the second. In just a few seconds, he was beaten so badly by the little zombie that he saw stars.

If cultivators can take this beating, ordinary humans would have been smashed into mincemeat long ago.

Just as the little zombie was getting under control, a fierce shout suddenly rang out: "Take down this monster!"

Before the words were even finished, a sword was already thrusting towards the little zombie. The little zombie didn't react in time and just stiffened its body without dodging.

That shot was sure to hit! Success!

However, the sword bent directly against the little zombie.

Fearing the sword would break, the swordsman quickly tried to pull his hand away, but the little zombie grabbed the blade and propelled itself towards him.

The little zombie raised its leg and kicked, and the opponent, who was holding the sword, could not dodge and could only block it.

He tried to block with a magic weapon, but the magic weapon shattered; he tried to block with a sword, but the sword broke.

In a short time, the little zombie managed to fight a group of cultivators to a draw.

While the little zombies were being attacked, the middle-aged man holding the incense burner flicked his finger, and the red fish trapped in the cover flew towards him through the air.

The middle-aged man pulled out a black short sword and stabbed it through the fish's gills, then twisted his wrist and pinned it to his feet.

Looking at the little zombie that hadn't lost ground for so long, a look of surprise and greed flashed in his eyes, and he immediately began to form a magic seal with his hands.

As the middle-aged man made a hand seal, the red fish began to convulse violently. Its scales broke off against the ground, and its tender flesh, now unprotected by scales, became ulcerated.

A large amount of blood gushed from the fish's body and flowed upwards, all of it entering the incense burner in the middle-aged man's hand. In just a moment, the smoke in the incense burner became even thicker.

As the smoke billowed, those surrounding the little zombie trembled, and their attacks became even more ferocious and swift.

Seeing this, the middle-aged man revealed a confident smile.

However, after the time it takes for an incense stick to burn has passed, the little zombie is still not subdued.

On the contrary, the cultivators who had been fighting for a long time were all trembling and weak, unable to even hold their swords. Some even bled from their mouths and noses and became delirious. The middle-aged man's hand holding the incense burner turned bluish-purple, and blood vessels bulged on half of his face.

The middle-aged man gritted his teeth and tossed the incense burner high into the air.

His body seemed to have been drained in an instant; the skin on his face and hands was dry, cracked, and wrinkled. Blue flames burst forth from the incense burner, and several flames, like long snakes, burned straight toward the little zombie.

"This is the crystal fire that incinerates all things! Since you cannot be used by me, then turn into smoke!"

The flames rushed towards the little zombie with devastating force. Those thugs who didn't have time to escape had their skin ruptured by the flames and died instantly.

Just as the Glazed Flame was about to engulf the little zombie's body, the flame seemed to have eyes, splitting in two and just avoiding the little zombie.

The man tried to cast another spell, but found that the flames were completely beyond his control.

His eyes widened in horror: "No, that's impossible!"

"How can you be so ignorant?" a lazy voice rang out.

The brown-furred kitten leaped down from the height as if appearing out of thin air, turned its head, and glanced lightly at the man.

Little zombie: "Meow!"

The Suanni nearly tripped and fell: "Don't call me that!"

The Suanni snorted and then continued in its calm tone to the middle-aged man, "Either get out, or die."

The middle-aged man's face turned ashen: "How dare you, you monster, spout such arrogant words! I will surely uphold justice on behalf of Heaven—"

The Suanni ignored him, turned around and gently swayed its tail. The next second, blue flames, dozens of times more dazzling than before, swept across the entire garden.

The surrounding vegetation, decorations, and then the houses hundreds of meters away were all reduced to ashes in an instant, while the blue flames, like blooming flowers, blossomed on the ruins, endlessly regenerating.

But there was nothing left in the flames.

The Suanni controlled the flames, moved the unconscious red fish in front of it through the red magical barrier, and slowly yawned: "Done, let's go back."

"Aww!"

Seeing the little zombie's eyes, the Suanni raised its head smugly: "Hmph."

Just as they took a step forward, a voice boomed through the heavens and earth, making everyone dizzy.

"What kind of despicable person dares to act so presumptuously here?"
