Chapter 30 30. Ice Wolf
The blue cart was full of things, mostly bulging sacks, and some tied farm tools.
Luo Wei looked at her sweaty face and said, "Lan Lan, what are you pretending for?"
"Wheat." Lan Lan pulled the cart with great effort, panting.
"Why did you buy so much?"
"Take it back to the village."
"Don't you guys usually have enough to eat?"
"We can eat when we can catch fish. But in the winter, rivers and streams are frozen. We have to find a way to store more food, otherwise everyone will starve. Besides, we still have ice wolves to feed."
"No wonder." Luo Wei showed an understanding expression. Ice wolves are several times bigger than humans, so they must be very hungry. Seeing that Lan Lan was about to give up, Luo Wei raised his hand to signal the team to stop. He called the logistics team and negotiated to reduce Lan Lan's load by two bags of wheat.

The team gradually moved away from Huange Town.
The endless fields came to an end. Next up was a mountain road.
Lovi looked down at the parchment map in his hand. On the way to East Guard City, he would pass through three villages in total.
The Ice Wolf Village is the second one. The first one is a human village called Dam Village.
I heard that the village chief is an elderly spellcaster who was already the chief of Dam Village long before Evelyn became the lord.
Lovi didn't plan to stay in Dam Village. It would take a lot of time to run back and forth between the two villages. If he visited each of the 28 villages, he would simply not have to do anything for several months.
"Ice Wolf Village is not on the way."
On the map, the location of Ice Wolf Village is at least half a day away from the main route.
If he was alone, it would be fine for him to accompany Lan Lan, but there were other people in the team, and everyone was eager to return to East Guard City to reunite with their relatives.
Lowe hesitated.
A loud wolf howl came from the woods.
Lanlan's ears moved and she shouted loudly, "Mom, I'm here!"
A figure leaped rapidly through the woods.
The hot female warrior of the Ice Wolf tribe jumped down from the tree branch.
She has dark blue hair, very much like a queen. She has a pair of animal ears and a big fluffy tail behind her, as blue as blue. She carries a big sword on her back, looking heroic. Her skin is a healthy wheat color.
The female warrior glanced at the crowd and stopped at Lovi's face. She slowly turned around and greeted him: "My Lord, I am Tina, the head of Ice Wolf Village."
"Hello, Ms. Tina." Lovi looked away modestly.
Lanlan's mother is wearing such cool clothes and has a great figure. It's really hard to stop.
"I heard that the maid was attacked by goblins, so I rushed over from the village." Tina explained her purpose: "Is there anything I can do?"
"The goblins have been conquered by the Guards." Luo Wei pondered for a moment and said, "I'm going to East Guard City now. It's relatively close to your Ice Wolf Village. I can allow Lan Lan to go back."
"No need. Please let Lanlan follow you and fulfill her due responsibilities." Tina glanced at her daughter sternly.
Lanlan's ears drooped and she didn't dare to look her mother in the eye.
"Oh, right! I do have something that I need your help with." Lowe got to the point: "I want to conduct a census of the territory. Ms. Tina, what is the current population of Ice Wolf Village?"
"There are 362 people in Ice Wolf Village now." Tina knew the population of the village very well and answered immediately.
"Ten years ago?"
"Ten years ago, there were only 297 people in the village. Thank you very much, Lady Evelyn, for giving our tribe a comfortable living space. We will keep it in mind and be ready to be deployed at any time."
Luo Wei silently memorized the number in his mind. It didn't matter if he forgot it, he could just use the meditation mirror to recall it when he got back.
"Do you have anything else to do? Do you need to visit our village? We welcome you very much." Tina invited warmly.
"Thank you for your kindness. I will definitely go there when I have the chance." Lovey refused.
The blue and white ice wolf poked its huge head out from the bushes, staring at Lowe's face with curiosity with its big eyes. He tried to walk a few steps closer and sniffed.
Lan Lan immediately went over and hugged the wolf's head, "Anus, it's very well behaved. It never bites people. It loves eating fish the most."
"My Lord." Tina opened her lips slightly, unable to speak.
"Why, is there anything else?" Luo Wei waited for her next sentence.
"If you need it, you can consider bringing Anus with you. It can understand what humans say and can keep watch for the soldiers. It has the ability to catch fish, but it eats a lot." Tina said this in one breath, suppressing her shame, and looked at Lovey's expression.
Lovi was a little dazed, and after sorting out his thoughts, he realized that Anus was the giant blue and white wolf, "Are you in any trouble?"
"Anus has a child, and there is not enough food in the village." Tina whispered.
"The ice wolf is a very powerful monster. In winter, it is even more powerful than the wild boar that Lord Lodel defeated." Lan Lan acted like a salesman and kept adding weight to the story: "You can also ride it. Have you heard of the wolf knight?"
As expected, Lowe showed an interested expression, "Can I try it?"
"Of course." Lanlan whispered in Anus' ear for a while, and it crawled down obediently, allowing Lovey to sit on it and grab the hair on the back of its neck.
It felt a bit forced, but I really started running.
It was getting faster and faster, and in a flash, it disappeared at the end of the road carrying Lovey.
Luo Deer couldn't catch up and shouted anxiously: "Lan Lan!"
Tina imitated the howl of a wolf, and the ice wolf Anus quickly turned around and reappeared in everyone's sight.
After a moment, Anus stuck out his big tongue and crawled in front of Lanlan.
Lowe was still a little frightened and his hair was messy.
Without any equipment like a saddle, he was trying his best to keep a firm grip.
"Yes, it's pretty fast."
Luo Deer stepped forward to help Luo Wei up, and said to Tina with an unchanging expression: "Okay, we want this wolf. How much do you want for it?"
Tina shook her head: "No reward is needed. Please try to feed it and don't hurt it. When it gets old or disabled, please let it come back."
"Okay." Lowe agreed.
