Chapter 59 59. Dirty
Lovi had no way to persuade Lodel to accept reality.
"It's okay for me to be the lord, right? I promise to only love you in this life!" Lodel raised her hand and swore.
"No, Duke Dafen won't agree." Lovi thought to himself that he would not agree either.
Luo Deer held both of Luo Wei's shoulders, his eyes flickering in the darkness: "Otherwise, you can be my puppet! Don't care about anything, what does it matter what outsiders say?"
"I have a plan." Lovi grabbed Lodel's pointed ears and said, "You will also be my puppet. Don't be angry or jealous."
This means there will be no agreement.
Lodel puffed up her cheeks and had an idea. "As long as you have a child, you can pass on the position of lord, right?"
"Yeah, that makes sense. It will take at least twenty years. During this time, I want to set an example for the people!" Lowe agreed in a self-assured manner.
"You're dreaming!" Lodel was furious.
Lovi turned and walked into the darkness, with Lodel following closely behind him, "What are you going to do? It's time to go upstairs and rest!"
"I made a new drink. Would you like to try it?" Lovey found the fabric sent by the clothing shop in the conference room and turned back to the kitchen.
"Lanlan, did you steal the honey?"
"I don't have any young master, do you want honey in your soy milk?"
"Don't rush to add it, filter out the dregs first."
Lan Lan lifted the iron pot with all her strength and placed it on the stone platform. She bent down and put out the fire.
The room was pitch black and I couldn't see anything.
A ball of light slowly emerged from Luo Wei's hand, illuminating everyone's faces.
Lodel's expression was somewhat gloomy and somewhat scary.
Lan Lan didn't seem to notice: "Master, how do you filter the bean dregs?"
"Find a clean wooden barrel, the kind used for wine will do, and pour the soy milk onto the cloth in my hand. Remember to hold the barrel together so it doesn't leak." Lovey handed a thin light yellow linen cloth to Lan Lan.
Lan Lan took the linen cloth and said, "Master, do you want to wash the cloth?"
"Go wash up."
Lowe does struggle with hygiene.
You have to know that people in this world are particularly unhygienic, including Lan Lan and Luo Deer. They have a weak sense of hygiene.
If there is dust on your hands, you just pat them and think they are clean. Anyway, if you can't see the stains, then they are not dirty.
Fortunately, due to her aristocratic education, Lodel took a bath every day! Otherwise, she would just stink of sweat. Tsk tsk. Lovi was powerless to complain.
Laudel folded his arms and stared at the two of them with a cold expression. He said nothing, but his unhappiness was obvious.
Lan Lan opened the damper of the canal, and clear water flowed through the canal. She took a bucket and collected some water from the canal, put the linen cloth into the bucket, scrubbed it carefully twice, and poured out the water.
"This is very clean, right?" At least, Lan Lan thought so.
Luo Wei covered his face and muttered to himself: "It's not clean, but I won't get sick if I eat it."
Lan Lan spread out the linen cloth to cover the wooden barrel, lifted the wooden handle of the iron pot, and poured the boiling soy milk onto the filter cloth.
She was very strong, at least Lovell thought that he definitely wouldn't be able to lift such a big pot so easily.
As the amount of dregs increases, the filtration speed becomes slower and slower.
Lan Lan persisted with sweat all over her forehead.
"Stop for a moment, put the bean dregs on the plate first." Lowe interrupted kindly.
Lan Lan had just reached her limit, so she put it down and rested for a while, watching Luo Wei pick up the filter cloth and carefully put the bean dregs in.
"Master, don't we need to throw away the dregs?"
"Don't pour it! The dregs of bean curd are edible."
Luo Wei spread the filter cloth. Lan Lan continued to filter the remaining soy milk.
Lodel waited impatiently: "Are you done?"
"It will be ready soon." After Lan Lan poured out all the liquid, Luo Wei took away the filter cloth and the remaining bean dregs, and added a few tablespoons of honey: "Let it cool down a little and you can drink it."
"So much! Can you finish it?" Lan Lan raised her hand to wipe the sweat off her face.
Luo Wei said generously: "If you can't finish it, give it to the guard on duty."
Lodel hurried away and brought back a wooden cup.
She was so stingy that she only took her own cup and didn't bring one for Lovey.
Lovey didn't care. He would just use Dale's cup when the time comes, so he wouldn't have to wash it again.
Lan Lan also took the cup and said, "Master, can you drink now?"
"Let me try it first to see if it's strong." Lovi found a soup spoon in the cupboard, snatched Lodel's cup, and scooped in half a cup.
The freshly cooked soy milk was very hot. Luo Wei took a sip and said, "Lanlan, you gave me too much water."
"Master, I'm sorry!" Lan Lan covered her face and wagged her tail in shame.
Lovi poured some more of the free old honey into the cup, stirred it vigorously, and then refilled the cup. "Dale, try it! It will taste better if you add less water."
Luo Deer took the cup and took a sip, not caring about the heat. "It's not bad, better than simple honey water."
"Lanlan, you try it too!"
With Luo Wei's statement, Lan Lan couldn't wait to fill her cup. Squinting her eyes, she tasted the wine. She had a special liking for sweet taste and drank it mouthful after mouthful.
"Do you remember how to do it?" Lowe asked.
"I remember." Lan Lan nodded vigorously.
The last half of the 5-6 catties soy milk went into the stomachs of the three people. Only a little was left to be distributed to the guards on duty at the door.
This was the first day that soy milk came out, and there is no record of it in later generations.
Many years later, only these old guards vaguely remembered that it snowed heavily that night.
The whistling sound of the wind seems to never stop.
When Lovi woke up in the morning, he opened the window and saw the world outside, a white blanket of snow that had not yet melted.
The morning breeze is a little bit biting.
However, the servants who were clearing the snow from the garden did not care much.
Because it's not really cold yet. The changing climate makes it more difficult for species, including plants, to survive. Everything will be eliminated by nature if it is not strong enough . In fact, the climate in the East Continent is not too extreme. I heard that the North Continent will be even colder.
In the southern continent, during the hottest time of summer, the temperature at noon may exceed fifty degrees.
In that situation, humans could only come out of the shade after the sun went down.Lovi put on a white sheepskin coat under Lan Lan's help. After breakfast, he immediately began to warm up.
As time went on, the temperature began to rise.
Lovey changed his sheepskin coat for a light silk dress.
He paced in the living room, seemingly thinking about something, and occasionally looked up at the still clock.
It's already nine o'clock in the morning. The craftsman representative should be here in another hour.
Lovey had nothing to do, so he decided to find something to do.
He took out a handful of clay from the wooden barrel in the corner of the reception room and tried to make a plate by himself. But his craftsmanship was too bad, so horrible that he couldn't show it to anyone. Luo Wei had no choice but to use his mental power to shape it. He also absorbed the moisture and replaced the time required for drying, and gave it to Lan Lan to dry in the iron furnace.
