Chapter 9 9. Tracking (Part 2)

Chapter 9 9. Tracking (Part 2)

It is not easy to find a suitable place to camp in the primeval forest.

Fortunately, there were scouts leading the way, and they had carved marks on the trees as reminders.

Luo Deer knew that there was a hill three kilometers ahead and a stream one kilometer to the right, so he arranged for half of the people to set up camp and the other half to carry utensils to fetch water.

This is another classic brainless troop division strategy.

Luo Wei was somewhat speechless. Luo Deer seemed to notice his expression and frowned slightly on his fair forehead. "I'll go get some water and be back soon."

"Why don't we all go get some water and then go camp."

"It's a waste of time. Once you have set up your camp, we will return."

Lovi held his face and said, "Dale, hurry up, don't get caught by the goblins on the road."

"No, I won't run away unless things get out of hand." Lodel said seriously.

The two teams then separated in the primeval forest.

When Luo Deer was not around, Luo Wei always felt a chill on his back. What if another dwarf tyrannosaurus suddenly appeared? It was not impossible!

The light in the sky was getting darker and darker, and Adjutant Zoe asked Lowe for a fire, lit the torch she was carrying, and then distributed the fire to everyone.

People around the team raised their torches.

The hill ahead is already in sight.

Thinking that they didn't have to step on the soft soil, everyone quickened their pace.

The moment he reached the hill, Mossoffe seemed to have lost all his strength. He staggered to the ground and took a long breath.

Lovi quickly got off the panda butler and patted him on the shoulder, "Thanks, Mosophie."

"You're welcome. My Lord, it's not heavy. But after walking such a long way, I'm still hungry. Fortunately, I ate meat yesterday." Mosophie smacked his lips with endless aftertaste.

Lan Lan also sat on a rock tiredly, "If the goblins come now, I won't be able to run."

"It's a good thing that they're here." Lovey looked up at the dark clouds in the sky.

His keen mental power allowed him to discover that rain clouds were gathering. If nothing unexpected happened, it might rain in the next few days. That would be the real challenge of survival! The tent had been set up and the bonfire had been lit.

Time passed, and Lodel had not yet brought the team back.

Lovey stood on a rock at the highest point of the mountain, holding an unfinished piece of white bread in his hand, and looking into the distance.

"My lord, you'd better not stand there for a long time." The panda steward stood beside Lowe, holding the hilt of the knife, looking at the sky with fear in his eyes.

"Don't worry, this stone is very stable, I won't fall down." Luo Wei took a sip of the water in the bamboo tube. It was empty.

Mosophie lowered his voice and said, "Master, it's not a question of whether the stone is stable or not. You are standing so high that you might be targeted by some birds of prey."

Lovey was startled and quickly jumped off the rock.

The few scavenger birds he saw that morning were bigger than eagles! This forest was totally beyond common sense.

If you are too careless, danger may suddenly come. Lan Lan was cooking soup. She got some vegetables from the logistics team and secretly added some wild vegetables she picked up on the road into the iron pot.

I also cut a few pieces of Dwarf Tyrannosaurus meat into it. When the water boils, the aroma of the soup fills the air, making people salivate.

"My Lord, come and taste Lan Lan's cooking."

"Did you add any other ingredients?" Mosuofei moved closer to the iron pot and his nose twitched.

"These are just some small vegetables picked up on the road, don't worry." Lan Lan said nonchalantly.

"If you think it's okay, you can eat first. My lord can enjoy it after half an hour." Mosuofei raised his hand to stop Lovey.

"It's okay." Lan Lan picked up the wooden bowl and poured herself a bowl of soup. She held it to her pale cherry lips and blew on it. She took a sip and said, "There's a little less salt."

The panda butler took out a bag from his pocket and sprinkled a little white salt on the soup.

"Master Butler, you are so stingy." Lan Lan stuck out her tongue.

"Refined salt is very expensive, so don't give it out casually." Mosoffe carefully put away the bag of salt and patted his pocket to make sure it was all right.

Half an hour of waiting was too long. After waiting for about ten minutes, seeing that Lan Lan was still alive and kicking, Mosuofei felt relieved, reheated the soup, and handed it to Luo Wei.

Lovi took the soup and drank some, but he didn't have much appetite. As time passed, the blue moon rose in the sky. There was still no news from Lodel, and he couldn't help but feel a little impatient.

Taking off my boots and walking barefoot on the cool stone surface seemed to feel a little more relaxed.

"Warrior-Captain Lodel is back." Someone in the crowd shouted.

Lovi looked into the dark forest. The torches looked like a long dragon, and the carts seemed to be carrying spoils of war.

Luo Deer strode in front, proudly raising her neck like a proud white goose, "It's a good harvest, and we can have another meal."

Lovi noticed the stains on her armor and looked towards the cart. His face turned pale and he took two steps back.

"Jungle wolf spider!" Mosophie exclaimed, rubbing his paws excitedly: "Master, you have eaten it before, it tastes very similar to crab, and the meat is super delicious."
