The arrival of Lu Hai and his three companions drew the attention of all the guests.
Their outfits were simply too eye-catching, too unconventional, and too ugly.
It's probably hard not to pay attention to them unless you're blind.
When Lu Chun and his brothers saw Lu Hai and his group, their expressions changed.
What are they doing here?
Just for a housewarming party?
I don't believe it!
That's impossible; those four aren't that kind.
Lu Hai and his three companions greeted some acquaintances from Lu Family Village, acting as if they were old friends. They sat on the sofa, eating sunflower seeds and spitting out shells all over the floor.
Half an hour later, it was clear that Lu Hai and the other three were behaving reasonably well and hadn't done anything wrong in secret.
Lu Sen arranged for his guests to take a car to a four-star hotel in the county for a banquet.
This is the best hotel in the county, thirteen stories high and fifty-two meters tall, the only high-rise building.
The third-floor hall had over a hundred guests, so thirteen tables were booked for the banquet.
The meal consisted of ten dishes and a soup, all featuring large portions of meat and fish.
The ingredients are plentiful and fresh.
While waiting for the banquet to begin, Lu Lu clutched her stomach, feeling unwell, and said she needed to go to the restroom.
Then Lu Hai said he was craving a cigarette and needed to go out for a smoke.
The third one was Yu Dawei, who said he had drunk too much tea and needed to go to the toilet.
Only Lu Kong remained in his seat.
An Wan had been secretly observing Lu Hai and the other three.
Seeing that they had left their seats and gone outside, she sent Guai Guai and Dong Xi to follow them and check the situation.
She also made several small paper figures and attached them to the clothes on their backs. These paper figures could transmit back to her, through their brains, the places they had been and the words they had said, from their perspective.
In a dark corner—
Lu Lu: "I can't get into the kitchen, how can I put the medicine in there?"
Lu Hai: "You think of a way? You're a girl, it'll be easier for you to get in than for us."
Yu Dawei: "The two of us will go and cause some trouble, lure some of the chefs away, Lu Lu, you hurry up and go in to add the medicine."
Lu Lu: "Is this feasible? After all, it's a four-star hotel. I saw that their kitchen was very professional. I just tried to push the door open, and they noticed and yelled at me, telling me not to go into the kitchen."
Lu Hai: "That's because you're too slow. If it were me, I would go in through the back door of the kitchen. A big kitchen can't have only one door."
Yu Dawei: "Don't worry, even if we can't get into the kitchen, we can secretly put the medicine into a few soup pots while we wait outside for the waiter to take the soup out of the kitchen to the hall. Killing one of them will be enough to make Lu Sen's family lose money to the end."
Upon hearing this, An Wan knew that Lu Hai and his group were up to something bad.

He clenched his fists, and veins bulged on his forehead.

They're not human, they're worse than animals.
If Lu Hai and his group really did poison people, he would definitely not let them off easily.
He wished he could throw them into the inner perimeter of the Immortal Mountain; he wanted to watch them be bitten to death and eaten by all sorts of animals.
"Let's go find Father and Big Brother." Lu Jiayan stood up, took An Wan's small hand, and walked away.
But she grabbed him, and he stopped in his tracks. "Brother Jiayan, I don't want to call the police to the hotel. If the guests see us, even if they don't blame us for being heartless and selfless,..."
"Moreover, I'm afraid that once word gets out that the banquet was poisoned, no one will want to eat with our family anymore. It will also affect our family's and the shop's reputation. I think Lu Hai and the others need to handle this carefully and not make a big fuss."
Once trust is broken, it is extremely difficult to rebuild others' trust and image of you.

An Wan nodded and whispered in Lu Jiayan's ear, "Our family is not the same as before. Everything we do could become a weapon for others to attack us."
“But we don’t have any evidence that they cheated us out of the bride price. Would it be useful to call the police?” He frowned, looked around, and his gaze fell on Lu Kong at the next table.
