After the school bell rang to signal the end of get out of class.
The three Lu brothers hurried to the canteen, glancing every now and then at the box of braised pork that Lu Chunhe was holding.
Even though it was cold, they could still smell the braised pork.
It smells so good!
Lu Chunhe went to the water room first, put the braised pork on the water boiler, and used the residual heat to steam the braised pork until it was cooked.
Lu Jingxing and Lu Jingming went to queue for food.
The three of them had just finished eating and chose a less crowded table to sit down.
"Second brother, hurry up and open the box. I haven't had braised pork in ages." Lu Jingming stared at the lunchbox, his eyes practically popping out of his head.
I was so tempted that I couldn't help but swallow.
"You're so hungry." Lu Chunhe glared at his third brother before slowly opening the lunchbox.
Lu Jingming was so anxious he jumped up and down. "Big brother, look at second brother!"
"Stop playing around and let's eat! If we go any later, there probably won't be enough braised pork." Lu Jingxing spoke up at this moment.
Because people nearby had already smelled the braised pork, they kept turning around to look.
"Eat up, eat up!" Lu Chunhe also noticed, opened the lid, and used chopsticks to put a few pieces of meat into his lunchbox.
I refuse to believe that anyone would steal his braised pork after it's been smeared with his saliva.
Lu Jingxing and Lu Jingming also put four or five pieces into the lunchbox, leaving only a few pieces of braised pork.
When they finally tasted the braised pork for the first time, they were so happy that tears welled up in their eyes.
The last time I ate braised pork was two months ago during the Spring Festival, when I had the chance to eat it three times.
"Delicious! Mom's cooking is amazing!" Lu Chunhe praised Yunping while eating rice and braised pork.
Lu Jingxing and Lu Jingming both nodded in agreement.
Just as they were about to eat another piece of braised pork, a voice came from inside.
"Hey! What are you eating? You're here so early! You didn't even wait for me."
"It's you!" Lu Chunhe turned around and saw a handsome young man walking towards him. Although he was only fifteen years old, his appearance was already outstanding.
He Sichen strode over, carrying a plate with a bowl of rice and meat on it: stir-fried pork with chili peppers, stuffed eggs with minced meat, pan-fried fish pieces, and even four fragrant chicken drumsticks.
"He Sichen, what brings you here? Why don't you go home for dinner?" Lu Jingxing felt increasingly suspicious of him.
The He family lives right near the school; He Sichen only needs to walk a minute to get home. Why would he choose to eat at the cafeteria when there are delicacies to be had? I don't know what his good intentions are.
“Exactly! They have seafood feasts at home but don’t eat them, so they come to the cafeteria to eat pig swill.” Lu Chunhe wanted to say, “They just come here to freeload.”
But he had to give He Sichen face because the He family was rich.
"Brother Xing, don't look down on me!" He Sichen ignored the eye rolls from the three of them and took the opportunity to sit in an empty seat.
As a result, his attempts to act cute and charming only earned him eye-rolls and scorn from the three Lu brothers.
"What are you eating? It smells so good! Can I have a piece? I bought a few chicken legs this time, but we can't finish them all. Can we exchange them?"
He Sichen's tone was already very humble.
He set aside his status as the most prominent young master in the capital just to eat a few pieces of meat from Lu Jingxing's lunchbox.
How pitiful.
Lu Jingxing found it really difficult to see that He Sichen could be so shameless just to get a bite of braised pork.
He couldn't very well refuse. "It's possible, but if it doesn't taste good, you can't return it."
He was worried that He Sichen wouldn't be used to the taste of his family's braised pork, because it was on the sweeter side.
Not everyone can eat it.
"Don't worry! I like any kind of meat." He Sichen breathed a sigh of relief. As long as he could eat that box of braised pork, that was all that mattered.
He thought the meat must taste delicious.
He could smell this aroma from outside; he never misses anything delicious.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have come to the cafeteria just to ask Lu Jingxing for a piece of meat.
