Chapter 148 Stinky Little Brother

"Big brother, I love it, I really love the hair tie you gave me." An Wan was very happy to receive a hair tie from a boy for the first time.

Because she couldn't afford hair ties and hair clips in her past life, she always kept her hair short and was regarded as a tomboy.

She didn't start growing her hair long until high school, and she started to look a bit like a girl.

"I'm glad you like it. Do you want me to tie your hair?" Lu Jingxing glanced at her hair. Hmm, it was barely achievable to tie it up.

Fortunately, it wasn't embarrassing.

"Okay! Thank you, big brother." An Wan nodded, her eyes almost squinting into slits with her smile.

Upon hearing her agreement, Lu Jingxing's hand trembled slightly.

what to do?

Does he not know how to braid his hair?

He tried to appear calm, took the pink bow hair tie, walked behind her, and took a deep breath.

He picked up a small tuft of hair on the top of her head and wrapped a hair tie around it twice.

It got tangled and fell down.

He squatted down to pick up the hair tie, and upon closer inspection, his hands were trembling slightly.

He Sichen noticed this, stood aside with a slight smile on his face, trying hard to suppress his laughter.

He dared not laugh out loud, for fear that Lu Jingxing would kick him out.

Heh →_→

There were even things that Lu Jingxing didn't know.

So that's why he was so worried about Anwan.

Lu Jingxing clumsily tied a small bun on An Wan's head.

The hair tie barely managed to stay in place, but a few strands of hair fell down and landed right on her forehead.

Its design is extremely ugly.

Lu Zhili burst out laughing: "Big brother is so clumsy, your little bun looks so ugly, so ugly."

Lu Jingxing's face flushed red to his ears: "!!!"

Can you stop undermining me, you brat?

He was truly exasperated with his own foolish younger brother. Couldn't he at least give him some face?

Although she couldn't see how her hair looked when tied with a hair tie, An Wan knew it must not look good from seeing Lu Zhili laughing so hard.

She glared at him angrily: "Fifth Brother!"

Lu Jiayan noticed that the little tuft of hair on her head swayed with her movements, as if she were dancing.

He couldn't help but laugh out loud, then, feeling guilty, he covered his mouth with the back of his hand, pretending he hadn't laughed at all.

"Brother Jiayan! Even you are laughing at me." An Wan stomped her foot and puffed out her cheeks, like a pufferfish that had been out of water and was so angry that its belly was swollen.

"Let me do it! I promise I'll give Wanwan a cute little bun." Seeing this, Yunping had no choice but to go up and help, resolving her eldest son's embarrassment.

"Yes, thank you, Mom." An Wan nodded gratefully.

Yunping's fingers flew swiftly through Anwan's hair, and without a comb, she skillfully styled it into a cute little bun in less than ten seconds.

"So pretty! So pretty!" Lu Zhili clapped his hands and jumped up, twirling around An Wan. "Little sister is so pretty, so pretty! Little pigtails, little pigtails, hahaha—"

An Wan's face flushed slightly, and she glared at him. "Fifth Brother, stop talking."

How embarrassing! There were so many outsiders there.

Only he thinks she's pretty; other people would probably find her disgusting and nauseating.

"It looks pretty good." Lu Jingxing admired An Wan's little bun on her head. Sure enough, the pink bow hair tie suited her very well.

His efforts in teaching English to others outside of class, working as a private tutor for three days, were worthwhile.

"Little sister, the hair clip suits you very well." Lu Jingming complimented the pink hair clip he had bought, otherwise he wouldn't know what else to say.

He has always been introverted and shy, and he is not good with words; he doesn't know how to say what others want to hear.

"Wanwan, you're very pretty." Lu Jiayan also liked An Wan when she dressed up; she really did look like a little child.

Yunping hugged An Wan and kissed her. "Of course my Wanwan is very beautiful and cute."

"Hehehe..." An Wan was so amused by their compliments that her mouth almost stretched to her ears, and she nearly lost her bearings.

"Oh my god! Are they blind? They're so ugly, and they say they're beautiful!"

"Exactly! She's so ugly, yet they treat her like a precious princess, giving her new clothes every day, feeding her chicken legs every day, and now they're even buying her hair clips and ties. They're spoiling her rotten. I wonder if she'll ever be able to get married. I bet they'll have to give her a huge dowry before she can even get married."

"I don't know why Yunping picked up such an ugly woman who can't get married and even has to pay for her dowry? What a waste of money! She would have been better off having a couple more sons, since she's so good at having sons anyway."

"She might be having a relapse! Didn't she used to often take other people's baby girls? Maybe if she adopts a baby girl this time, it will help control her illness."

Several middle-aged women pointed and talked loudly.

Many people were also whispering among themselves, discussing An Wan and Yun Ping's relationship.

But it wasn't anything nice to say.

It's just not as nasty as those older women make it out to be.

An Wan and Yun Ping were so engrossed in their happy time together that they didn't hear anything for a moment.

By the time they heard it, the laughter at An Wan was already very loud; almost everyone outside was mocking her, including Yun Ping.

Yunping, who was originally all smiles, lost her smile when she heard outsiders talking about her and Anwan like that. Her eyes were filled with sadness and lost their light.

"Wanwan, let's go inside!" She picked up Anwan, not wanting the child to hear those unpleasant words.

Lu Jiayan glanced coldly at the foul-mouthed people in the room.

One day, he will make those bad people know what regret means.

Hearing outsiders bullying her mother and sister again, Lu Zhili's eyes reddened with anger, and she was almost in tears. "I won't allow you to talk about my mother and sister! You are bad people, get out!"

"Please leave!" Lu Jingxing turned around and looked at the dozens of villagers present.
