Chapter 621 Robbery

Chapter 621 Robbery

Out of ingrained habit, she always wrapped the strap of her briefcase tightly around her arm and held the bag against her chest to prevent any mishaps.

She also knew that it would be too conspicuous, and that the best strategy was to blend into the crowd quietly. Why use this method to announce to the world that "the things inside are very important!"

Last month she went to the bank to withdraw everyone's salary.

Almost got robbed.

After that incident, Li Xiuyun became extra vigilant, always keeping her bag by her side and not daring to relax for a moment.

It was also the day every month when she would have a large amount of cash in her bag.

And her job was to deliver it from the bank to the accounting office.

Originally, she shouldn't have done this alone. At least there should have been another section chief from the factory security department to accompany her to ensure her safety. But who knew that when she arrived at the bank that day, the section chief suddenly had a high blood pressure attack in the bank.

He has been sent to the hospital.

I can't just say I won't return the money since I have it in my bag.

Is it possible to stay in the bank forever?

The problem was that Li Xiuyun felt embarrassed and angry when her bag was snatched from her shoulder by a man in a green shirt.

She had always been very careful, but apparently it wasn't enough, and now she had a big stain on her record.

Frankly, she was horrified to have been caught by a thief. She had been taught from a very young age to be in good shape, cautious, and aware of her surroundings. If a short guy in a green top could get the upper hand over her, then she was probably neither in good shape nor cautious.

When life and death are at stake, any slight mistake can be fatal.

This is not her first day as an accountant.

Of course I know what to do.

The bank's security guard obviously helped her a lot.

A year has passed since that time.

Li Xiuyun almost forgot about that incident.

Today is another day of emergencies.

Because the head of the security department took a leave today, she was accompanied by Xiao Zhang, the cashier of the accounting office.

Xiao Zhang is a young boy, but the problem is that although he looks big and strong, he is actually as timid as a mouse.

Any hint of bravado would make him tremble.

The reason why Xiao Zhang was asked to come was that everyone felt that his physique could scare off those people with evil intentions.

Indeed, Xiao Zhang looks very intimidating.

After finishing the formalities quickly, she held her bag tightly in one hand and picked up a bag in the other hand and walked towards the door of the bank lobby. Xiao Zhang followed her in a panic.

For some unknown reason, seven or eight people who had just entered the hall to do business poured in from the door on her left, so she walked to the right, trying to avoid the crowd.

This method obviously worked, and she quickly walked out of the door on the right.

But then her left shoulder was hit and she subconsciously turned around to check.

Isn’t Xiao Zhang behind me?

No one!

Relying on the alertness honed over the years, she reacted instantly and tightened her grip on the bag. At that moment, the shoulder strap broke and fell limply from her shoulders.

No, damn it, not again.

She bent over and spun quickly, throwing the heavy bag in her hand towards the robber behind her.

She caught a sudden glimpse of a pair of fierce black eyes and a bearded face, and then all her attention was focused on his hands.

He held the knife in one hand and with the other grabbed her bag and yanked.

The bag containing the account book in his hand hit his shoulder. He staggered but did not let go.

Li Xiuyun was so nervous that she forgot to scream or be afraid. She was too furious to react in that way.

And screaming and being scared would inevitably distract her.

Instead, she swung the bag again, this time aiming at his knife hand.

She heard voices all around her, and some people were trying to avoid the chaos but bumped into others, causing inexplicable panic.

Everything happened in a dazzling moment. Almost no one knew what was happening. For a moment, they were separated by a door. She had no outside help to rely on. Xiao Zhang had no idea where to hide. Li Xiuyun gritted her teeth and could only focus all her attention on the robber in front of her.

Bang! She hit him again, but he still held the knife tightly.

"Bitch!" he roared and stabbed at her with a knife.

Seeing the cold light flashing, Li Xiuyun jumped back in shock. Her hand that was tightly holding the bag slipped, and he took advantage of the situation and pulled it hard, successfully snatching it away.

Li Xiuyun quickly grabbed the hanging shoulder strap, but the robber swung his knife and the shoulder strap broke after a flash of silver light, and the tight tension suddenly disappeared.

She staggered back, and the robber quickly turned around and fled.

After regaining her balance, Li Xiuyun chased after him while shouting "Catch him".

Because of the sudden situation, she had a hard time running, and the robber had a pair of long legs and had the advantage of running ahead of her.

The heavy bag kept hitting her thighs, further hindering her running speed, but she couldn't drop it.

Although she knew it was all in vain, she still pushed through the crowd and kept chasing.

Despair struck her heart, and now she could only hope that a hero among the crowd would step forward and stop him.

That's the salary of a factory worker.

She would rather die than lose that money.

Her wish was answered immediately.

A tall man in front of him, with his back to the bank, turned around and looked nonchalantly at the noisy crowd.

At this time, the robber had almost rushed to his side.

Li Xiuyun took a breath and shouted "Catch him" again. Although she knew that the robber would definitely escape before the tall man could react, she just couldn't stop putting her hope on this.

The tall man saw what was happening immediately, and in an instant he had turned with incredible fluidity and grace and kicked the robber squarely in the right knee.

The robber flipped sideways and fell on his back. The bag was thrown out, slid across the bricks on the ground, hit the wall and bounced back into the busy passage.

Li Xiuyun immediately changed direction and rushed towards her bag, grabbing it before another fast thief could snatch it away.

At the same time, the tall man moved quickly and neatly, bending down to subdue the robber and making him lie prone.

He handcuffed the robber's hands behind his back and held them with his big hand.

“Ouch!!”

The robber cried out in pain.

"You bastard, you broke my hand!"

The response to this curse was that his crossed hands were roughly pushed higher.

The force made the robber scream even louder, and he was so painful that he couldn't speak.

"Watch your language. I don't like people greeting my mother in that way, and my mother doesn't like it either."

The tall man said.

Li Xiuyun rushed over and stood beside him.

"Be careful," she said breathlessly. "He has a knife."

"I know it, the knife fell there when he fell!"

The man nodded to his left without looking up, and as he spoke he had already pulled out the robber's belt, tied his wrists, and tied a simple, effective knot on it.

"Go pick it up, holding the blade between your fingers, and be careful not to touch anything else."

He looked like he was very experienced. Li Xiuyun walked over obediently, took out a tissue from her skirt pocket, and carefully picked up the knife according to his instructions so as not to wipe off the robber's fingerprints.

"What now?"

Jiang Lei glanced at the bank security guard.

"The police haven't arrived yet?"

"It will be there in two minutes at most."

Li Xiuyun finally breathed a sigh of relief.
