Chapter 362: Grand Wedding (1)_1

The two groups of masked assailants who arrived first naturally would not let a third group profiteer from their conflict, so they ceased fighting and simultaneously rushed towards the bed. The three factions began to battle fiercely within the room, while the sound of fighting also erupted from outside.

In an instant, the flashes of swords and shadows of knives danced, flesh and blood flew, and soon the room was filled with a thick odor of blood that induced nausea.

"Miss, what are they doing?"

"I’m not sure, maybe they think this room is nice and are all fighting over it."

The clear and puzzled voices of two women suddenly broke through, causing the brawling assailants to pause, their gazes instinctively turning towards the source of the noise.

There, Yang Mengchen, who was supposed to be sleeping peacefully, sat quietly on the edge of the bed, her dark and clear eyes observing them, her beautiful face etched with curiosity.

Hai Tang and Mo Mei stood on either side of Yang Mengchen, their expressions calm yet puzzled, but their eyes glinted with bloodthirsty sharpness.

Seeing the untroubled Yang Mengchen, the remaining assailants, for some reason, felt an inexplicable chill run down their spines, and fear and despair spread rapidly from their hearts to their entire bodies. Their hands shook uncontrollably as they held their weapons.

After a brief silence, all factions simultaneously rushed towards Yang Mengchen again, only to find themselves suddenly unable to move, drenched in cold sweat. Their hearts trembled—what was happening?

"Didn’t your masters tell you that I possess medical skills, naturally fearless of any poison, and that I am also capable of concocting various drugs?" Yang Mengchen said indifferently, her tone devoid of any emotion.

The black-clad assailants were terrified out of their wits, and what made them even more panicked was that they couldn’t even bite down on the poison hidden in their teeth to commit suicide. Watching Yang Mengchen slowly stand up and walk towards them, they felt as though the god of death was approaching step by step.

This woman was simply too terrifying!

"Ah Jiu, are you alright?" Long Xuanmo suddenly entered, desperately pulling Yang Mengchen in close to examine her thoroughly, ensuring she was unharmed before he could relax.

Smiling and shaking her head, Yang Mengchen asked softly, "Has everyone outside been dealt with?"

"Yes," Long Xuanmo replied, his cold and handsome face covered with bone-chilling ice, his dark eyes like a sky shrouded in dark clouds: "Leave this matter to me."

Daring to harm Ah Jiu with such despicable methods, he would ensure they understood what it meant to wish for death!

Mo Yun and others stepped forward and ruthlessly dislocated the jaws of the assailants to remove the poison from their teeth, then escorted the still-immobile assailants away.

Hai Tang and Mo Mei also left the room.

Leading Yang Mengchen to the table to sit down, Long Xuanmo poured a cup of tea for her: "I have already interrogated the assassin, and it turned out to be their doing." Seeing Yang Mengchen frown slightly, he asked, "What’s wrong? Are you not feeling well?"

"I’m fine, I just..."

Before Yang Mengchen could finish her sentence, Lv Luo’s voice came from outside the room: "Miss, I have something to report." After being allowed in, Lv Luo entered: "Miss, indeed, there were two black-clad individuals surveilling from a distance. When they saw these assassins fail, they fled quickly. Shan Cha and I lost them, please punish us, Miss!"

"The enemy is too cunning; it’s not your fault," Yang Mengchen waved it off, and Lv Luo withdrew.

The frigid depths of Long Xuanmo’s eyes burst forth with a soul-piercing coldness: "There’s actually a fourth group of people!"

"I just had a hunch something wasn’t right, so I had Lv Luo and Shan Cha observe closely in the dark. I did not expect that someone was indeed lying in wait to benefit like a fisherman watching the fight," Yang Mengchen sighed: "Wende (Long Xuanmo’s courtesy name, bestowed upon the marriage decree, which Long Xuanmo coaxed Yang Mengchen into using), let’s leave this matter to the Emperor to handle."

Long Xuanmo certainly refused, for those who coveted Ah Jiu, he would not let them off easily.
