Chapter 42 Scarlet (1 / 2)

Luo Jiaojiao was trying hard to suppress her inner restlessness.

As promised, she only focused on how Leng Mohan's hands moved in the water and rubbed the clothes flexibly.

Her eyes were firm, as if she wanted to focus all her attention on those strong hands. However, if we ignore the blush on her face, this concentration might seem more credible.

The shame and regret in her heart burned like a raging fire. She originally thought that she could easily cope with the process of learning to wash clothes, but Leng Mohan's strong chest muscles lingered in her mind.

She felt as if her cheeks were being roasted by a furnace, the temperature rising higher and higher. She tried desperately to get rid of the images in her mind, but she became more and more unable to control herself.

Luo Jiaojiao was struggling. She wanted to continue looking at Leng Mohan and enjoy the unique visual feast, but she was also afraid that her eyes would wander and be attracted by the attractive chest muscles. Her heartbeat was like thunder, and every beat made her feel dizzy.

Finally, when Leng Mohan finished washing the clothes and raised his head, Luo Jiaojiao finally woke up from her dream. She lowered her head suddenly, not daring to look at Leng Mohan again. Her heartbeat still did not calm down, and she knew that she had been deeply attracted to this man.

Leng Mohan took the clothes out to hang them out to dry, and Luo Jiaojiao saw him and handed the clothes hanger to him.

Leng Mohan cleaned up and put the bucket back into the bathroom. Seeing an extra quilt on the bed, he held his forehead in frustration.

Luo Jiaojiao's heartbeat was like a plucked string, frantic and nervous. She knew that a single man and a single woman in a room was like dry wood and raging fire, and a raging fire would ignite if she was not careful. Especially when a man like Leng Mohan stood in front of her, the strong masculine aura almost suffocated her.

She tried to slow down her breathing and pretended to be asleep, hoping to escape this disaster. However, Leng Mohan's footsteps hit her heart like a heavy hammer, and every hit made her nerves tense.

Leng Mohan walked to the bedside and stopped. His eyes were as sharp as a cheetah, staring at Luo Jiaojiao closely. She felt that she had nowhere to hide under his gaze, but she still clenched her teeth and refused to say a word.

He reached out to pull her blanket, wanting to find out what was going on. Luo Jiaojiao's heartbeat instantly accelerated, but she still wrapped herself tightly to prevent Leng Mohan from succeeding. The blanket seemed to weigh a thousand pounds in her hands, and she used all her strength to barely maintain her defense.

Leng Mohan tried several times but failed to pull the quilt. He sneered, his voice full of teasing and mockery: "On my bed, you are wrapped so tightly, who are you trying to protect yourself from? Are you trying to protect yourself from me?"

His voice was like cold needles, piercing Luo Jiaojiao's heart. She still didn't dare to respond, and could only grit her teeth silently, praying that this crisis would pass as soon as possible.

Luo Jiaojiao lay on the bed, feeling the summer heat baking her like a flame.

Leng Mohan's voice sounded in her ears with a hint of sarcasm: "Don't worry, I won't touch you if you don't agree. You're wrapped up so tightly in such hot weather, you won't die of the heat, it's your fault!" His tone was full of dissatisfaction and confusion with her.

Luo Jiaojiao closed her eyes tightly and tried her best to ignore his sarcasm.

She knew that all this was her own fault. In order to cover up her inner panic and anxiety, she pretended to be asleep, letting the heat wave roll in, and not daring to lift the quilt easily.
