After Luo Jiaojiao received her task, she gradually calmed down. She tightly held the mushrooms given by Leng Mohan and began to search around carefully.
It seemed that the god of luck was particularly kind to her, and she could find traces of mushrooms wherever she went.
Soon, her basket was full, so she found an empty space and dumped the mushrooms out of the basket. Then, she continued to search without stopping.
In less than half an hour, the originally open space was filled with mushrooms like a small mountain.
Mu Bai and Leng Mohan were still some distance away from her, unable to see clearly whether she was picking the right kind. Mu Bai thought to himself that it was unlikely that all of these mushrooms were the two kinds that Leng Mohan asked her to pick.
He guessed that Luo Jiaojiao might have picked the mushrooms as soon as she saw them, which is why there were so many.
Mu Bai looked at Leng Mohan worriedly and said softly, "You have to be careful with the mushrooms. I'm worried that I'll eat poisonous mushrooms and die." His eyes revealed the fear of the unknown and the cherishment of life.
Leng Mohan silently looked at the small hill of mushrooms, and then his eyes fell on Luo Jiaojiao who was concentrating on picking mushrooms nearby.
He didn't say anything, thinking that as long as she had something to do and didn't bother him, it would be fine. He had been paying attention to her every move and had also reminded her to tap the ground before picking, so there shouldn't be any danger.
"You can choose not to eat it. I don't ask you to eat it." Leng Mohan rolled his eyes at Mu Bai and said indifferently.
When Mu Bai heard this, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but twitch, and he felt a pang of sadness in his heart.
He looked at Leng Mohan with resentment and said aggrievedly: "Mohan, you have changed. You always stood by me before."
Leng Mohan looked at Mu Bai's pitiful appearance, and goose bumps appeared all over his body. He said with disgust: "Don't disgust me."
The corners of Mu Bai's mouth twitched again, and he felt disappointed: "Are we still good brothers?"
"You should know very well that she is my woman. If I don't stand by her, how can I stand by you? I'm not stupid." Leng Mohan threw the chopped firewood at Mu Bai's feet and said expressionlessly.
"Mo Han, brothers are like limbs, and women are like clothes." Mu Bai was very dissatisfied when he heard this. He raised his eyebrows at Leng Mo Han and retorted.
Leng Mohan originally looked fine, but after hearing what Mu Bai said, he stopped what he was doing and his expression became serious. He looked at Mu Bai seriously and said, "If anyone dares to take off my clothes, I will cut off his limbs!"
Mu Bai was choked and speechless.
"Can I just shut up? But your little wife is really beautiful, and it's natural that you value her. You have to keep a closer eye on her in the future." Mu Bai said helplessly.
"Do you need to tell me that?" Leng Mohan continued with his work without looking at Mu Bai again.
Luo Jiaojiao was picking mushrooms happily and soon filled a basket.
She was about to go back and empty the basket of mushrooms when she suddenly caught a glimpse of a type of mushroom that she had tasted before, but her memory was a little fuzzy and she was not completely sure. She stared at the mushrooms, hesitant in her heart, not knowing whether she should pick them.
Luo Jiaojiao hesitated for a moment, but finally picked a handful and decided to go find Leng Mohan to confirm.
She walked over to Leng Mohan, her tone uncertain: "Brother Leng, can this be eaten? I think I've eaten it, but I don't quite remember what it's called."
