Chapter 137: Ivy Sawyer

Jude grunted as he sat across from Ava and Matthew.

"You really love disturbing me," Jude said. He turned his head away as he tried to stop himself from glaring at Matthew who had that arrogant smirk on his face. "What the hell is wrong with you people?"

"What?" Jude asked when both Matthew and Ava said nothing. "Did you really come here just to... stare at me?"

"If I wanted to stare at something, I would do so at something beautiful, and in that case I wouldn’t come here."

"You—" This fucking Lycan! Jude frowned. "What is it? Why are you here?" he glanced at Ava. "Again!?"

This woman already disturbed him earlier. She left him unable to sleep because of what she did!

And now, she was back.

And she was not alone!

She was with the fucking Lycan!

"Just— "

"Jude... shut up," Ava said. She was too calm, too languid. He was having a bad feeling about this. "I came here because I have a proposition."

"A proposition? I thought we were done talking earlier? You told me what you want, I gave it to you and you promised to work with me."

"We wanted an alliance," It was Matthew. He was still smirking. And Jude could barely hold his irritation down.

"We? You mean... including you?"

"Yes," Matthew said. "Including me."

"You will work with me?" fгeewёbnoѵel_cσm

"Are you deaf?"

"You— " How could a Lycan agree to work with him? This man...

Jude narrowed his eyes at Matthew. No. Lycans are all arrogant creatures who look down on everyone else. How could Matthew work with him? More like he wanted to enslave Jude!

Maybe the man was just acting like this in front of Ava!

That must be it!

For some fucked up reason, Matthew and Ava were sleeping with each other. It was obvious. Everyone could actually see the way they looked at each other as if they wanted to tear each other’s clothes. Watching them act like this in front of him was infuriating.

But did he have a choice?

One was a powerful witch that could probably send him to the middle of the ocean if she wanted to. The other is the future King of the Lycans.

He was having a terrible feeling about this!

"So... are you willing to work for us?" Matthew asked.

"Pardon me?"

"You heard me."

"What made you think that I would work..." Jude pursed his lips. He let out a loud sigh and looked at Ava. "Is he serious?"

"No. He’s not." Ava said. "What I want is your cooperation. I don’t want you to work for us."

Jude looked at Matthew and he almost exploded with anger when Matthew just shrugged at him.

This man was definitely a lunatic!

Jude had suspicions that once Ava left, Matthew would do something to him. It was an ominous feeling.

"Tell me about it," Jude uttered. Again, he didn’t have a choice but to actually hear it.

"I want to work with you."

"Aren’t you already working with— wait— you mean physically work with me?"

Ava nodded at that.

"How? I thought you— I thought you wanted to pretend that you are dead and do the operation in silence?"

"Do you really think that’s possible?" Ava asked.

"I was doubting about that when you left but now..." Jude’s gaze landed on the arrogant Lycan. "I’m sure you can do it." Ava had the backing of a Lycan. Of course, she could do it.

"No. I want to work with you on this one."

"So... you will come back to Trillium?"

"Yes."

Jude turned silent. He couldn’t help but wonder why Ava was suddenly doing this. Wasn’t that too risky?

"You know that Trillium wants to interrogate you, right? Even if you are strong, you can’t possibly escape the interrogation of the other priestess while they tie you in cable cords. They could invade your head and read your thoughts. Those people are... ruthless. Especially if they need something. And that something just happens to be inside your head."

"Well... I appreciate your concern but I am not planning to come back as Ava Woods."

"Then...." Jude’s eyes widened. "You— "

"I borrowed your secretary for a while." Ava beamed at her. The smile on her face was full of confidence but it only made Jude doubt if what she said was the truth.

"What did you do to Ivy?"

"Please...stop doing that. It’s not like we killed her or something," Matthew said.

"Ivy Sawyer. She’s a weak witch who... had been working for Trillium for the past three years. No records. No crimes, not even a parking ticket." Ava said. "She’s got a sister in... a correctional facility. A human sister. The sister was inside for slitting the throat of a man who tried to rape her when she was fifteen. But the truth is... It was actually Ivy who killed that man. But she’s a witch. So... she planted some false memories inside her sister’s head. Of course, she did this unknowingly as she was still seventeen at that time."

Ava added. "But that was the reason why Trillium found her. They thought she was talented so... they took her in."

"You actually— when did you get her information? I don’t remember you talking about this earlier? And when exactly did you plan all this?"

Ava just smiled in response.

"You aren’t good at hacking. How did you have her files? It’s supposed to be a secret." Jude asked. "Wait... was this because she used to work for Samuel? That dumb bitch." The fact that Ava has access to Ivy’s files could only mean that she planned all this ahead of time.

"Did Samuel give you her files?" Jude asked. How could Ava access this information without Samuel’s help? And why the hell would Samuel give her information like this?

However, the mysterious smile on Ava’s face was enough to tell him that she wasn’t going to reveal the source of her information.

How annoying!

How could it be so annoying!?

"She’s alive. So you don’t have to worry about her. But from now on... I will be Ivy." Ava said.
