He Youyou stepped forward.
"When did you arrive? I thought you weren't coming. I was just about to go rest."
The other person also came to greet her.
A layer of cold air enveloped the fur coat.
“I’ve been here for a while. You were talking to someone in the hall, so I didn’t disturb you.”
Looking at his nose, which was red from the cold, He Youyou guessed, "You didn't deliberately stand outside in the cold so that I would soften my heart as soon as I see you, did you?"
Zhao Changqing's lips curled up: "You've softened your heart?"
He Youyou did not answer immediately.
She took another step forward, raised her hand, pinched the tip of his nose, and felt the slight coolness from her fingertips.
"Yes, I softened."
Aside from being cunning and manipulative in the business world, He Youyou is actually very honest in her personal life.
She doesn't hide her feelings and thoughts very much.
You either like it or you don't.
Being soft-hearted is being soft-hearted.
If she's not satisfied with her sister's boyfriend, she'll just say so directly, without worrying about saving face.
They ask for what they want directly, without playing hard to get.
If I don't like something, I'll just refuse it.
Never compromising oneself is her principle in life.
Her words were as effective as drugging the other person.
Zhao Changqing suddenly grabbed her hand that was poking his nose, pulled it down, and pressed it tightly to his heart.
Her eyes gleamed in the moonlight: "Have you really softened your heart?"
"Yeah, it's soft." He Youyou nodded helplessly, "But if we stand here any longer, I'm afraid we'll both freeze solid."
Zhao Changqing flashed a set of gleaming white teeth, then suddenly spread out his mink coat and wrapped her entirely in his arms.
"I won't let you get cold."
He Youyou rolled her eyes as she listened to his pounding heartbeat in his arms.
"Zhao Changqing, are you stupid? It's so cold outside, can't we go inside?"
"OK."
Then, He Youyou felt herself being lifted up in a horizontal embrace.
The two went inside.
Although there was a charcoal brazier inside, it wasn't as warm as his own villa.
Without hesitation, He Youyou pulled him into the villa.
"Phew—finally that feels good."
He Youyou took off her heavy mink coat and hung it on the coat rack in the entryway, along with Zhao Changqing's.
"Make something hot to warm you up." He Youyou walked towards the kitchen, asking as she went, "What would you like to drink?"
Zhao Changqing followed her closely, saying, "Whatever you drink, I'll drink too."
He Youyou walked to the coffee machine and smiled slyly at him: "I'll have coffee."
Zhao Changqing's gaze remained fixed on her face: "I'll drink too."
"Really? Aren't you afraid of hardship?"
She hadn't forgotten the pained look on his face when she first gave him coffee.
"I'll swallow anything you give me."
"What if I give you poison?"
"...Even if it's poison, don't forget me after I die."
He Youyou took a small cup of espresso and added milk and sugar.
The two sat on the sofa, each holding a mug.
He Youyou sipped her coffee and glanced at him out of the corner of her eye: "Why are you staring at me like that? Just say what you have to say."
Zhao Changqing sighed softly, lowered his eyes, and concealed the emotions within.
Before I met you, I kept thinking that when I saw you, I would say so much to you. But now that I have met you, just like right now, without saying a word, just looking at you, my heart is already filled with joy, and there is no need to say anything.
He Youyou reached out and placed her coffee cup on the coffee table.
She crossed her arms and looked at him with a smile.
"Is the coffee good?"
Zhao Changqing looked at the coffee cup in his hand and answered seriously, "It tastes good this time, it's sweet."
"Let me have a taste."
Zhao Changqing handed her the cup, which He Youyou took and placed aside.
"You..." Zhao Changqing asked in surprise, "You're not going to drink?"
He Youyou did not answer.
She lunged forward, grabbed his neck, and knocked him down onto the sofa.
His breath, carrying the aroma of coffee, was exhaled onto his face.
"Zhao Changqing, I finally have a break in my career, and I was thinking that a man was coming to my door for me to try, and you're just going to stand by and watch?"
After saying that, without waiting for his reply, she directly bit him on the mouth.
Zhao Changqing placed his hand on her waist, climbed up her back, and pressed down on the back of her head.
The sound of disordered breathing filled the silent space.
After a long while, He Youyou lay panting on the sofa, pulling at the clothes that had slipped off her shoulders.
Zhao Changqing braced his arms on either side of her body, an irrepressible smile playing on his lips: "Youyou, I have already requested the imperial decree from my brother to grant us marriage. Would you like to marry me and become the Princess Consort of Yue?"
He Youyou stretched out a finger and traced the outline of his lips.
"Zhao Changqing, don't misunderstand. I just want to try dating, I don't have any plans to get married yet. Dating only requires feelings and impulses, but marriage requires rationality. My rationality is that I haven't made the decision to get married yet."
The smile on Zhao Changqing's face faded.
Something flashed in his eyes, but he perked up again: "Okay, whatever you say."
As soon as she finished speaking, she bent down again and took it in her mouth.
