Yan Jie leaned against the desk, looking at her suitcase, and said:
What's inside?
"These are all gifts for you."
Jiang Hexi took off her sunglasses, fisherman's hat and sun protection clothing, opened her suitcase, took out her packed lunch, and showed him the contents inside.
It was crammed full of all sorts of necessities, ornaments, and trendy clothes and shoes.
Yan Jie squatted down and examined his gifts one by one, unable to hide his delight, and said:
"Are all of these for me?"
"Including this suitcase, all of them are gifts for you."
Yan Jie had seen people give gifts before, but he had never seen someone pack up a suitcase along with the gift and give it away. He was flattered and said:
"Why would you think of giving me so many little gifts?"
"I haven't had time to spend with you these past few days. I kept thinking about you while shopping, and I bought you whatever I saw that I liked."
Jiang Hexi's cheeks flushed slightly. "Most of these are couple items. If you have something, I have something too, so don't feel guilty."
Yan Jie is absolutely enamored with these items:
"Are the sports T-shirts a pair?"
"It's a couple's set. Mine is white, and yours is lead gray. The letter patterns are all matched."
"Phone cases too?"
"Mmm-hmm."
Jiang Hexi said earnestly, "This is what I'm thinking: if I buy you more things now, then when we get to the end, I'll buy you more things. Do you think that's fair?"
In short, she wanted to ensnare him before marriage, and then let herself go on a shopping spree afterward.
Yan Jie willingly admitted defeat, saying, "It's fair."
