"Brother, if you're serious, you should bring Sister Si home."
Jiang Hexi believed that Yan Jie was unparalleled in this regard, saying, "There is a huge difference in your social status, so you should give her a sense of security."
Jiang Wenze silently listened to these words.
Seeing that time was running out, Jiang Hexi smiled playfully before Si Xiao returned:
"Big brother, if Mom asks me about your love life, what should I say?"

"Three months."
Jiang Hexi leaned back in her chair, arms crossed, and said without room for argument:
"If you raise your monthly payments for three months, my bottom line is only three months. If you still hide it and don't bring Sister Si home by then, don't blame me for turning my back on you."
She was clearly extorting money, but she put on a righteous and awe-inspiring act.
Jiang Wenze watched as Si Xiao came out of the restroom and uttered two words:
"Let's go."
"Thank you, brother."
Jiang Hexi didn't want to disturb his continued date, so she considerately got up and left, disappearing without a trace.
Si Xiao returned to her seat and asked him curiously:
"Why is Xi-mei here? Why didn't you invite her to have dinner with us?"
Jiang Wenze was stumped by this question. Why wasn't this kid learning his trade at the barbershop? Why was he wandering around this mall instead?
Jiang Hexi left the mall and took a taxi home.
She handed over the video she had taken to Ms. Zhou, scooped up some sweet osmanthus rice balls from her bowl, took a bite, and said:
"Mom, this is what you see here."
"No wonder your brother looked at Si Xiao strangely when she came to visit last time."
Looking at the photos of the two people's intimate gestures, Ms. Zhou said with great satisfaction:
“Your brother used to change girlfriends frequently, and I said a few words to him about it. Later, he simply stopped looking for girlfriends, which made me mistakenly think that he had given up on love.”

Ms. Zhou had previously inquired about the girlfriends Jiang Wenze had dated, and each one made her frown.
Si Xiao was the only one she was truly satisfied with. Despite her humble origins, she was independent and self-reliant, and as long as Aze liked her, she had no objections.
"You did a good job. Here, let Mom serve you another bowl."
Ms. Zhou kindly took her bowl, went into the kitchen, and served her another bowl of sweet osmanthus rice balls.
Jiang Hexi instructed her, "You must keep this a secret and never let your elder brother know."
"I certainly won't put you in a difficult position."
Ms. Zhou inquired further, "Does your second brother have a girlfriend?"
Jiang Hexi looked up from the bowl and reminded her, "If you want to ask about Second Brother, that's a different price."
Ms. Zhou generously transferred a sum of money to her.
Jiang Hexi immediately accepted the transfer and said, "No."
Seeing that Ms. Zhou did not believe her, she raised two fingers and swore, "This really doesn't exist."
Ms. Zhou was truly tricked by her and scolded, "You money-grubber, I had Aunt Song make your favorite braised pig's trotters, so don't come over to stay tonight."
"It just so happens that I brought back my hair curling kit."
Jiang Hexi stared straight at Ms. Zhou's long hair that was tied up and said, "Mom, I'll give you a perm with big waves like those from the 1980s."
Ms. Zhou looked at her warily and asked, "Has your skill improved?"
"I'm still learning from Master Fang."
"Wait until you've learned the real skills before you touch my hair."
"I was just sitting at home doing nothing anyway, so I thought I'd fix your hair. Mom, do you not trust me?"
Ms. Zhou scolded her: "If you want to get your hair done, go to the hair salon. Don't use me as a practice subject here."
"I'm going to the countryside to film a farming variety show the day after tomorrow, and all the guests are counting on my cooking skills to make a living."
Jiang Hexi said with some regret, "Mom, if you don't want to, then I'll go to the hairdressing shop to learn the trade."
After returning to Central Garden, Yan Jie took his computer and sat on the sofa in the living room to work.
He glanced at the clock on the wall every now and then, and it wasn't until 8:10 that he heard the sound of fingerprint unlocking on the door.
Jiang Hexi entered the room carrying a large handbag.
As soon as she entered the living room, she walked over to the rose bear next to the TV wall, bent down and smelled the fragrance of the preserved flowers.
Then she went to the study, checked the acrylic floor lamp, and went in and out to make sure that everything she had bought was neatly arranged before finally sitting down next to Yan Jie.
She rested her chin on his shoulder and watched him work on his laptop.
Yan Jie had to stop what he was doing, looked down at her and asked, "Have you had dinner yet?"
"I ate braised pig's trotters."
Jiang Hexi took a microwave-safe lunchbox out of her handbag and placed it on the coffee table: "I also secretly packed one for you from home."
Yan Jie couldn't help but laugh and said, "Do you have to be so biased towards outsiders?"
Jiang Hexi took out jars of high-end skincare products from her handbag and placed them one by one in front of him:
“I brought one of the two portions that I had at home.”
