Chapter 30

Nan Xi refused to quit filming the variety show halfway through, no matter what.

"I told you to be proactive in your business, and you gave me this negative example!"

Tang Ying threw her phone at her and cursed her without any hope of redemption:

"Look at your reputation online. With your low EQ, netizens are turning against you. How are you going to survive in this industry in the future?"

"They were the ones who collectively ostracized me, so why am I the one who's leaving?"

Nanxi's tears streamed down her face, but Tang Ying, upon hearing this, became somber and lost in thought.

"You've offended everyone you shouldn't have. Do you remember what I told you?"

"What?"

"Black and red are still red."

Tang Ying shrewdly calculated, "Since you can't become famous, the only way you can go is to become a villain. Netizens have shorter memories than goldfish. Use this wave of traffic to gain attention, and there will be plenty of opportunities to clear your name later."

Nan Xi looked intently at her and said, "Sister Tang, what should I do?"

“Now is the perfect time for you to leave,” Tang Ying said casually. “Any later and you’ll be kicked out for nothing.”

The group continued sowing wheat in the fields in the afternoon.

Director Chen regretfully announced: "Nan Xi has withdrawn from filming midway due to health reasons. The production team is deeply sorry for this. We ask the remaining guests to continue their efforts and finish cultivating the land."

Jiang Hexi felt something was amiss, but didn't dwell on it. She reminded the production team:

"Director Chen, you only have two female guests left now."

"so?"

"Please cherish the opportunity for Wanwan and me on the show and be kind to us."

"for example?"

"Could I borrow the sun hat that the production team is keeping for safekeeping?"

Jiang Hexi asked Director Chen very politely and successfully obtained her sun hat.

Chu Yang watched as she turned on the small fan inside her sun hat, walking coolly under the scorching sun, and thought to himself that this was acceptable. He then turned and looked for Director Chen.

"Director, my ice maker is still being kept by the staff. I'd like to borrow it for a while."

Director Chen snorted coldly and rejected him outright, "Don't even think about it. Go somewhere cool and stay there."

Chu Yang: "..."

Does the director really need to apply such double standards regarding gender equality?

The village chief personally demonstrated the movements, teaching Jiang Hexi and Yu Xiangwan how to use the seeder.

Before operating the tractor, Jiang Hexi memorized all the precautions perfectly. However, after the tractor had successfully driven off, halfway through the journey, she belatedly realized:

Where is my cable?

This is a renovated piece of land.

There was no clear dividing line between sowing and not sowing, no reference point. Halfway there, she didn't know how to walk in a straight line, let alone whether she had sown twice in the same field.

Yan Jie spotted a planter parked in the field from afar, picked up the walkie-talkie, and asked:

"Who drove the seeder to the middle and stopped?"

Jiang Hexi readily admitted, "It's me."

"Why aren't you moving? Is the tractor broken?"

"It's not broken."

"Then why don't you keep going?"

"I can't drive in a straight line, and I don't know which way to go."

Yan Jie put down the walkie-talkie, unsure of what to say to her.

Jiang Hexi was already flustered, and seeing that no one was giving her advice, she became even more uncertain.

"I can't afford to lose my composure. Instead of driving the tractor around aimlessly and making a mess of the wheat fields, I should stop and think of a solution, right?"

“Yes,” Yan Jie laughed in exasperation, “this level of difficulty is indeed beyond your comprehension.”

Jiang Hexi was quite surprised that she didn't hear his sarcasm.

She restarted the tractor, shifted gears, gripped the steering wheel firmly, and released the clutch, saying, "I'll do as you say. Just tell me how to drive the tractor, and I'll drive it that way."

After a long silence, there was no response from the walkie-talkie.

Jiang Hexi picked up the walkie-talkie and asked a series of questions:

"Hello—Hello—, Yan Wang, the signal light is on, you haven't dropped the connection, so why did you suddenly go silent?"

"King Yan, you won't complain about my poor driving skills, will you?"

"No way! Last time our interview vehicle got stuck in the mud, I had to pull you and the vehicle out with my tractor!"

"No, you...you really intend to abandon me on this desolate land?"

Jiang Hexi was still talking to herself on the walkie-talkie when she suddenly heard the sound of wind swirling past the front of the car. She opened the car door and got out into the field. When she looked up, she saw a drone hovering and approaching, constantly circling around her.

"Yan-Wang?"

[Aaaaaaah, my Yanxi CP is finally back in action! Who can understand my excited heart, trembling hands, and silent screaming soul?]

[The King of Hell is too clever! He's really too clever! The scene where the drone circled around Xi Mei is something even idol dramas wouldn't dare to depict!]

[Can CP fans calm down? Yan Wang sent a drone over to guide Xi Mei in farming, where's the romance in that?]

[I'm totally shipping Yanxi (Yan Xi)! From now on, whenever I see them together, I'll ship them like crazy!]

Yan Jie looked at Qingyan's face through the drone's lens, paused subtly for a moment, and then said:

"Find a good angle for the line and follow the drone forward."

"receive!"

Jiang Hexi climbed into the driver's seat and, guided by the drone, skillfully drove the tractor to sow seeds along the way.

Yu Xiangwan stood on the ridge of the field with her arms crossed, and after seeing this “feat”, she exclaimed in amazement: “Drones can be flown like this, that’s so cool.”

"envious?"
