Chapter 2 Dinner Time

Yu Xiangwan leaned against the wall, crossed her arms, and looked at the four people opposite her: "Who can cook?"

No one answered from the kitchen.

"I can't cook either."

Yu Xiangwan reluctantly made a decision, "But I can make soup, cook rice, and steam food. You guys go out and find ingredients separately, and I'll pick the vegetables from the yard and cook the rice while I'm at it."

Chu Yang volunteered, "Sister Yu, I just happened to bring my fishing gear. I can go fishing in the pond."

Jiang Hexi continued, "I'll go with you."

Yu Xiangwan smiled and looked at the handsome guy opposite her, "Then I'll trouble you two to catch a chicken. Thank you for your hard work."

Yan Jie's right eyelid twitched almost imperceptibly, but he still went out the door together with Shen Yingyu after Shen called him.

Jiang Hexi carried a bucket and followed Chu Yang to the pond.

Chu Yang put the marked map into his bag, assembled the fishing rod, and then threw some bait into the water to create a feeding area.

Jiang Hexi pointed to the sky, "It'll be dark soon. Are you sure you want to fish in the dark in this desolate wilderness?"

Chu Yang thought about it and agreed. He immediately cast the fishing line out, still boasting:

"Don't worry, Sister Jiang, my fishing skills are top-notch. Once the fish bites, you can eat it however you like."

"One of each of steamed, braised, deep-fried, boiled, and sweet and sour," Jiang Hexi licked her lips and said hungryly, "plus a few of each of chopped chili, pickled cabbage, and hot pot base."

"Sis, isn't this...too much?"

"Aren't you a top-notch angler?"

Chu Yang dared not utter another word and devoted himself to studying his fishing skills. Soon, he caught two silver carp and bighead carp weighing three or four pounds each.

Jiang Hexi scooped the silver carp and bighead carp into the bucket when a loud shout came from afar:

"Who gave you permission to come here and steal fish?!"

As dusk approached, in the dim light, a middle-aged man carrying a sickle charged menacingly out of the wilderness, startling everyone and causing the camera to tremble violently.
