Jiang Hexi felt this matter was somewhat tricky and had to step in to resolve it:

As the gathering ended, Jiang Hexi looked up and saw Yan Jie standing in front of her grandfather, politely saying goodbye to each of the elders.

After exchanging a few polite words with Chen Laosan, Old Master Yan followed Yan Jie to the backyard to get the car.
His face immediately fell when he saw the bright red supercar in front of him.
"What kind of car did you drive to pick me up?"
Yan Jie got into the driver's seat, turned on the dazzling headlights, and with just one sentence, he silenced the old man's temper:
“Xi-mei likes it.”
The old man said nothing more to him, got into the passenger seat and fastened his seatbelt. When he heard the roar of the engine, he couldn't help but turn his head and look at him.
Yan Jie opened his mouth to explain, but the old man interrupted him, saying:
"Xi-mei likes it, right? Then go ahead and drive it."
Yan Jie lightly pressed the accelerator and drove the car off, leaving a beautiful drift in the sideways glances of the drivers behind, before disappearing at the end of the bend.
After Jiang Hexi went upstairs, she began packing things into her suitcase.
Ms. Zhou walked into the room, slammed the door shut behind her, and stood in the hallway watching her with a leisurely air.
"Mom, I'm going back to the countryside to farm the day after tomorrow. Please talk to me properly." Jiang Hexi stood up guiltily.
What did I tell you this morning?
