Chapter 21 Tang Bohu Restaurant

Two monkeys and a cow were already waiting for Xuxu and the others in the open space of the tribe camp.

"That old monkey with a wrinkled face is Elder Jiren." Elder Kakarot introduced him to Xuxu, "The strong monkey next to Elder Jiren is called Kongo. He is the candidate he recommended for the clan leader. I have never seen the cow in the cloak before."

"Elder Kakarot, are these two strange animals the candidates you recommended?" Jiren, his face full of wrinkles, asked, "Are they monkeys?"

"Of course they are monkeys, a new species of giant macaque, you know?" Kakarot retorted.

The cow in the black cloak next to Jiren let out a chuckle.

"This voice sounds familiar to me!" Elder Kakarot whispered, "A similar voice spoke to me yesterday, or the day before yesterday."

"The sound you heard couldn't be a dancing cow, right? They're all cows anyway, so the sounds should be similar," Xuxu reminded.

"It's very likely," Elder Kakarot said. "Once all the monkeys are here, we can discuss the details of the election for the chieftain."

The two monkeys opposite folded their arms and looked coldly at Xuxu. The cow in the cloak could only see its two exposed curved horns, with no expression on its face.

The monkeys have very loose discipline.

Xuxu and Dayoubao stood in the open space for a whole morning, but most of the monkeys still had not come to gather.

"Everyone, go back and have lunch first, and then gather again in the afternoon." The two elders, Kakarot and Jiren, said in unison.

Xuxu and Dalongbao walked towards the only restaurant in the monkey camp.

The Monkey Camp Restaurant is a two-story wooden house. The first floor is for business, and the second floor is where the owner stays.

The owner of the restaurant is a male monkey with very thick hair and an ordinary face. In Xuxu's opinion, all monkeys look the same, with the only difference being body shape and age. Nothing else can distinguish them.

"What would you like to eat, gentlemen?" The male monkey boss came over with a menu.

Xuxu took the menu and saw that it said:

The food in our restaurant is reasonably priced, safe and hygienic.

For example, only two pounds of poison are put into the snow peach, which is unlikely to kill the monkey; three sharp nails are secretly placed in the steamed carp, which can quickly help the customer's body replenish iron; a detonating bomb is placed in the roasted chicken leg, which is a wise choice for you to loosen your teeth.

Xuxu thought to himself that he would never choose the three dishes above, so he chose a plate of peanuts and two bottles of beer at the bottom of the menu, which only cost one silver coin in total. However, he had no silver coins on him now, only gold coins. But who doesn't pay the bill after eating?

"Okay, sir, please wait a moment, the dishes will be served soon." The monkey boss said as he rushed into the kitchen like a gust of wind, picked up a plate of peanuts and two bottles of beer that had already been prepared, and rushed to Xuxu and Dalongbao like a gust of wind.

Dalongbao impatiently grabbed a handful of peanuts and stuffed them into his mouth. He was so hungry!

With a "crack" sound, Dalongbao jumped up, covering his mouth. Both of his teeth were cracked!

"Asshole boss!" Dalongbao covered his mouth, his voice unclear, as if coming from a deep place. "You actually used stones to pretend to be peanuts to deceive customers!"

"Ah! You actually found out?" Boss Monkey asked in surprise.

"Nonsense - what fool can't tell that a stone can be eaten!" Dalongbao said angrily.

"Last time, a stupid cow and a stupid bear just swallowed the food and the plate directly." Boss Monkey retorted, "They couldn't taste anything wrong at all."

ā€œā€¦ā€ Dalongbao thought to himself, I’m not a bear or a bull.

It turns out that the restaurant owner was right to sell stones as peanuts, but the ones who tasted it were Xuxu and the other one who were wrong!

"You drew these peanuts very well. Are you a painter?" Dalongbao picked up the remaining peanuts on the plate, looked at them carefully, and praised.

"Yes, my name is Tang Bohu, and I used to be a painter," said the monkey boss. "But after a few years, no animals bought my paintings anymore, so I had no choice but to open a restaurant and become its owner."

"Why doesn't anyone buy your paintings? They're so good." Xuxu asked while sitting in his seat with his legs crossed.

"Because my tribe members only let me draw peaches, after I finish the painting they rush to bite them, but then they find that they can't eat them at all, so no monkeys buy my paintings anymore." Monkey boss Tang Bohu sighed.
