Chapter 640 Wandering Monsters

Wang Xiaohai stretched out his palm, and a yellow plum leaf gently floated onto his palm, then melted, and his palm became cold.

He didn't transform into a wintersweet tree like the others. Instead, he closed his eyes and felt it, then analyzed the reason: "It contains the magical power of gene change. It can instantly devour the genes of the original creature and replace them with its own genes. No one below the demigod level is immune to it."

A yellow plum blossom transformed from cold water back into a petal shape. Wang Xiaohai threw it into his ring, which had the ability to instantly kill and preserve life. He took the mutated yellow plum blossom out of the ring and placed it on his palm, but found no reaction. It seemed to have been killed!

There is also a limit to the lives that the ring can kill, which is related to the mass it can retain. In other words, if the mass of a life exceeds that of a planet, the ring will be unable to deprive it of its life and may even explode! Generally speaking, high-level angels can make their bodies exceed the mass of a planet.

After thinking about it, Wang Xiaohai took out a cup of water from the ring and poured it on the yellow plum blossom leaves. The leaves quickly became moist from their dry state, and then turned into a pool of cool water that wanted to penetrate into Wang Xiaohai's body.

"Is this... eternal life?"

There are many plants in the universe that can live forever, but few creatures are willing to transform themselves into plants. This is because plants are unconscious, and unless they are promoted to the level of gods, they are like stones.

Wang Xiaohai put the mutated yellow plum blossom back into the ring and chased forward.

After losing three members, the Three Leaf Adventure Group moved more cautiously towards the center of the cemetery.

The drunken demon even made his stick longer and moved forward while tapping the ground like a blind man exploring the way.

After finally passing through the wintersweet forest, we arrived at a rockery area. In front of us were piles of two-story rockery, covered with moss. There was only a two-meter-wide passage between the two rockery, giving people the feeling of entering a maze.

"We have to go through the rockery area!" Avril said, "otherwise we can't reach the back of the cemetery."

"But there will be danger. I feel there are wandering monsters in the rockery maze." Chris said, "Wait, just follow me. I have an intuition for danger and will lead you around the wandering monsters."

"Why don't we fly over there?" Avril asked.

"My dear Captain, do you know how big the maze is?" Chris said, "Do you know how many wandering monsters there are? Right now, their vision is blocked by the layers of rockery, so they can't spot us. If we fly into the air, we'll be an obvious target—just imagine a swarm of wandering monsters flying towards you. If you want to die, don't take me with you."

"That wandering monster can fly and find us." Avril said worriedly.

"I don't think these wandering monsters have discovered us. If they had, some of them might have taken to the air to search for us, but they're not very smart. We can avoid them by hiding under the moss on the rockery," said Chris. "If they can't find the intruders in a few minutes, they'll retreat back to the ground."

"Is this moss safe?" Avril said. "I don't want to turn into moss and stay here for tens of millions of years."

The two talked as they walked, controlling their speed and not making any noise.

"I have a hunch that moss won't be dangerous," Chris said.

"I think you not only have a premonition of danger, but you are also very familiar with this place. From the time you volunteered to join my adventure group as a military advisor until now, I still don't know where you came from." Avril was a little skeptical.

"That's because my ancestor was also an explorer, and he once came to this cemetery with a large adventuring group. After successfully leaving, he recorded many of the events here on parchment," Chris said. "Don't worry, Captain. I will never harm you. Only you can use the formation-breaking device, and I don't want to stay in this cemetery forever!"

Wang Xiaohai listened to the two people talking behind him and found it ridiculous. He judged that Chris was lying from his emotions and the speed at which Chris was sweating - he believed that Chris's ancestors had never come to this cemetery, and Chris got the news of this cemetery from other places.

All members of the Sanye Adventure Group entered the rockery maze, each member being extremely cautious. The Rhino Demon even jumped at the sound of a mouse!

Shadow Demon and Rhino Demon were from the same team. Seeing this, he sneered and turned his body into a black shadow and moved forward. He could jump within any shadow within his sight and had a first-class level of life-saving skills.

After the adventure team had been walking in the rockery maze for about a minute, they began to encounter wandering monsters.

These wandering monsters were shriveled like bark, with a pair of small purple wings and a pig tail behind them. Their heads were bald, with only a large eye that took up half of their head and a mouth, without even ears or noses. Furthermore, these wandering monsters liked to travel in groups of three or five, much to the annoyance of the adventurers.

Scar Demon moved quickly through the passage of the rockery. He wanted to reach the center of the cemetery first. When he turned a corner, the scene in front of him changed. He bumped directly into a wandering monster, knocking it to the ground and stunned for several seconds.

The sword is unsheathed——

Scar Demon chopped the wandering demon in half with one sword, preventing it from making a sound to call for its companions!

However, he misjudged the strength of the wandering monster and swung his sword with too much force. The sword cut the wandering monster in half and continued to fly forward, cutting off half of a rockery.

"Boom—bang—"

That half of the rockery collapsed to the ground with a deafening sound, cracking the ground in the area where Scar Demon was!

There was no way to avoid being exposed now. A black cloud suddenly appeared around them, and at least hundreds of wandering monsters rose into the air and flew towards the location where Scar Demon was!
