Chapter 444 Rescuing Eddie

There are countless lights on in Marquis City at night, just like daytime.

Wang Xiaohai was flying in the sky at this time, heading towards Sean Prison.

"That guy Sean is hiding something, but it doesn't matter. I'll find out when I go to the desert." Wang Xiaohai accelerated in the air and arrived above Sean Prison in a few seconds.

It was dark below and all the prisoners were sleeping, making it difficult to search in the sky - Wang Xiaohai had not learned the ability of perspective and could not see through houses and quilts.

Let's go down and check. Wang Xiaohai took advantage of the night and quietly landed in the middle of the mine. He was surrounded by piles of ore nearly two people high, as densely packed as the pimples on a boy's face, and Wang Xiaohai walked among the pimples.

"It smells so strongly of coal and rust." Wang Xiaohai feels that prisoners who stay in this mine for too long will get sick and may even be poisoned by heavy metals.

After walking along the long road lined with ore piles, rows of black houses appeared in front of him. Although it was night, there was still a flicker of tungsten filament lamp under the eaves, illuminating the corridor in front. With the help of this light, Wang Xiaohai saw that the houses were all made of cheap red bricks and green tiles. Fortunately, the walls were not plastered with mud.

The guards are all asleep - the gate is locked and there are electric fences on the high walls, so there is no need to worry about anyone escaping, unless that person is a rat and can drill a hole!

Wang Xiaohai pushed open door after door, but suddenly he forgot one thing—he didn't know what Eddie looked like. Even if he stood high up in the daytime, he wouldn't be able to recognize him! So he pushed open the door and yelled, "Eddie!"

There are a thousand prisoners in this mine prison, with fifty rooms and twenty prisoners in each room. Wang Xiaohai walked into each room in turn and called Eddie's name to make sure that the sound could wake everyone up.

"Why are you yelling? Why can't you sleep so late at night?" Many people cursed after being woken up, while more people turned over and continued to sleep, and many people threw wooden pillows at Wang Xiaohai.

Wang Xiaohai quickly scanned everyone's reaction, and when he saw no reaction, he left the room. He only stayed in each room for thirty seconds. In the thirty-third room, someone woke up and responded. Wang Xiaohai hurriedly pulled him out of bed, only to discover that this person was not the Eddie he was looking for. This person looked to be fifty years old. Wang Xiaohai assumed that Eddie was about the same age as Shana and had not been here long. No matter how much he had been abused, he couldn't have aged so much!

"Is your real name Eddie?" Wang Xiaohai asked.

"Nonsense, if you have something to say, just ask now and don't disturb my sleep!" Eddie said, pulling back his arm to reveal the tattoo. "Kid, I'm the fifth in command of the prison bully. You woke me up and pissed me off. You need to kneel down and apologize to me and lick my toes."

This Eddie was too domineering. It seemed like he often bullied people like this in this mine prison. Wang Xiaohai didn't bother to explain. He stuffed him back into the quilt, rolled it up, tied the four corners together, and threw him back on the bed. "You stay in there and reflect on your actions."

"Let me go. I know there's another kid named Eddie who's stupid and dumb all day long, like a piece of wood." Fifty-year-old Eddie shouted from under the quilt, his voice sounding like it came from a stuffy can.

"Oh, tell me and I'll let you out." Wang Xiaohai asked.

"He was in room 44, sleeping in the corner. He was in a daze all day long and didn't dare to fight back when being bullied," said 50-year-old Eddie.

"Room 44? I understand. I'll let you out right now." Wang Xiaohai said, letting go of Old Eddie.

Old Eddie pounced on Wang Xiaohai in an instant. He would take revenge on the spot. This was Old Eddie's character.

The other people in the room opened their eyes and fell asleep again. They didn't care whether others were fighting or not. They wouldn't get up unless a fist hit them on the head. They were tired and sleepy, so who had the energy to meddle?

"You're naughty again." Wang Xiaohai grabbed the quilt and tied up Old Eddie again, then stuffed him under the bed.

Wang Xiaohai quickly walked out of the house, counted the rooms one by one, and when he reached room 44, he pushed the door and walked towards the corner.

A young man with greasy hair was sleeping on the bed in the corner. His body was covered in stains and gave off a sour smell. It was obvious that he hadn't taken a shower for a long time.

"Eddie." Wang Xiaohai held his breath and woke the boy up.

Young Eddie turned over and continued to sleep, as if he didn't feel anyone pushing him.

Wang Xiaohai dragged Eddie out of bed and stood him against the wall. One of the inmates was awakened, opened one eye, looked around, then closed it again and went back to sleep.

Eddie also opened his eyes, then closed them again, and stood in the corner and said, "If you want to hit me, do it quickly. I still need to sleep."

"I was called by Shana to save you." Wang Xiaohai said directly.

When Eddie heard about Shana, his cloudy eyes lit up. He trembled and grabbed Wang Xiaohai's sleeve: "You know Shana, how is she? Did she escape from that demon camp?"

"She's out! I rescued her," Wang Xiaohai said. "She's with Renault now."

"But this wall is so high, how are you going to get me out?" Eddie said, "There's electricity up there."

"It's okay, I'm a knight, and it's easy to help you jump over the wall." Wang Xiaohai said.

"Cavaliers?" Eddie looked at Wang Xiaohai and felt a little inferior - Wang Xiaohai was a Cavalier at such a young age, and he was at most one year younger than Wang Xiaohai, but he was not even a Warrior!

Wang Xiaohai and Eddie walked to the edge of the fence. Wang Xiaohai grabbed him and jumped out, then ran quickly, like a black leopard moving through the wilderness in the dark night.

"What a fast speed! Is the knight so strong?" Eddie shouted. The wind was so loud that it drowned out his voice.

"I am a stronger knight." Wang Xiaohai said. Although his voice was unclear, he still understood what Eddie meant.

Half an hour later, the two arrived at a nearby town, and Wang Xiaohai deliberately slowed down his pace.
