Chapter 106 The Emperor Without an Heir VS The Delicate Young Marquis Sixteen

Seeing the Empress Dowager's excited expression, Fei Leng nodded to her.

"Mother, don't worry! I brought a woman with me."

After hearing Fei Leng's words, the Empress Dowager felt a little relieved, but she still looked at Fei Leng and gave him some instructions.

"Your Majesty, I hope you will keep your distance from the young marquis, lest rumors arise. The ministers already have reservations about you not having a son of your own, and if rumors of your homosexuality spread, I dare not even imagine the consequences."

Upon hearing the Empress Dowager's words, Fei Leng nodded, agreeing for now, but whether he would actually do so was uncertain.

When Jiang Jingyue returned to the mansion, she saw Madam Jiang looking around at the gate. Judging from her appearance, she was probably waiting for Jiang Jingyue to return.

The moment Madam Jiang saw Jiang Jingyue, she breathed a sigh of relief and immediately ran to Jiang Jingyue's side.

"Xiao Jing, where did you go? Why are you so late today? I was worried something had happened to you. You really scared your mother to death."

Seeing her mother's anxious expression, Jiang Jingyue burst out laughing.

"Mother, it's just that the Emperor suddenly had something to discuss with me. It's nothing serious, so don't worry!"

Madam Jiang trusted Jiang Jingyue completely, so when she heard Jiang Jingyue say that, she immediately nodded.

"Mother, where is Father? Has Father returned?"

Madam Jiang nodded, looked at Jiang Jingyue, and spoke with some concern.

"Your father has been struggling to come up with a perfect solution to restore your female identity, and he's really worried about it."

Hearing Madam Jiang say this, Jiang Jingyue really wanted to tell her that there was no need to think about this at all. Fei Leng was more anxious than they were, and this matter could be left to Fei Leng.

However, Jiang Jingyue could only think about it in her heart; it was definitely impossible for her to say it out loud.

"Mother, then I'll go see Father."

Madam Jiang nodded, thinking it would be good to let Jiang Jingyue go and take a look, otherwise that old man would definitely anger himself to death in his study.

When Jiang Jingyue arrived at the study door, she didn't even knock; she simply pushed the door open and went inside.

As soon as she entered, the person inside looked up at Jiang Jingyue and immediately smiled.

“Xiao Jing, you’re back. I told your mother a long time ago not to worry. She must have been held up by something, but she just wouldn’t believe me.”

Jiang Jingyue smiled and looked at the man in front of her as she spoke.

"Yes! Something just kept me up. What are you doing now, Father?"

When the man heard Jiang Jingyue ask that question, he immediately raised the portrait in his hand and looked at Jiang Jingyue.

“Xiao Jing, come and take a look. These men were all carefully selected by your father. Take them back and put them in your room. When you have free time, take a look and see if there is one you like or that is suitable. When you return to your female identity, these things can be arranged.”

After the man finished speaking, he immediately stuffed a large stack of portraits and other items onto Jiang Jingyue's lap.

When Jiang Jingyue returned to her place carrying a large stack of portraits, she was somewhat bewildered.

Jiang Jingyue was genuinely surprised that her father was in such a hurry and arranged this for her so quickly.

Out of curiosity, Jiang Jingyue casually flipped through the portraits. She had to admit that some of them were quite good-looking and matched the image of a good husband in Jiang Jingyue's mind. Jiang Jingyue became happier and happier as she flipped through them.

Jiang Jingyue spent almost an hour looking through this portrait.

Having just finished watching, Jiang Jingyue was still somewhat unsatisfied, mainly because the variety of men was truly dazzling.

Having finished looking at the painting, Jiang Jingyue put it aside and stopped looking at it, instead starting to chat with the system.

"Tongzi, can I be sure I'm pregnant this time? I took the medicine this time."

Jiang Jingyue felt that since she had already taken the medicine, it would be a waste of money if it didn't work.

"Host, don't worry! You are pregnant now, but the fetal heartbeat is weak and the fetus is still small. There's no need to rush."

Jiang Jingyue wasn't in a hurry. She just wanted to confirm whether she was pregnant or not, and now that she was, she felt relieved.

That evening, Jiang Jingyue took a pain reliever and then lay down to go to sleep.

She needed to catch up on her sleep first, because Jiang Jingyue had a feeling that Fei Leng would come back tonight. So she wanted to sleep now so that she wouldn't be able to sleep when Fei Leng came over.

As Jiang Jingyue had guessed correctly, not long after she fell asleep, Fei Leng from the palace had already sneaked into the Jiang Marquis's residence in the dark.

Standing outside the Jianghou residence, Fei Leng looked at Su De and spoke.

"Sude, you stay here. If I haven't come out by the time it's time for the morning court session, go in and find me. Remember, you must not let anyone else see you."

Su De nodded without hesitation; he just felt that his emperor was being a bit too cruel.

At first, Su De thought that the emperor simply liked the young marquis very much, which was why he had been behaving intimately with him. He really didn't expect that it was for this reason.

"Your Majesty, rest assured! This servant will be keeping watch around the area. If there is any disturbance, this servant will inform Your Majesty immediately."

With Su De's words, Fei Leng nodded, turned and entered the Jiang Marquis's residence, heading straight for Jiang Jingyue's place.

This time, they still didn't go through the main gate. The main gate was guarded, and if they went in through there, they would definitely have to knock the guard unconscious before they could go in, which Fei Leng felt was too much of a waste of time.

Fei Leng slipped through the same window as last time and entered Jiang Jingyue's room again.

As soon as he entered, he immediately began searching for Jiang Jingyue.

Upon seeing the bulge on the bed, Fei Leng knew that it must be Jiang Jingyue.

Fei Leng carefully approached Jiang Jingyue's side, lifted the blanket, and saw that Jiang Jingyue's face was flushed from sleeping. He couldn't help but reach out and pinch it.

As if sensing something in her sleep, Jiang Jingyue couldn't help but reach out and slap Fei Leng's hand away.

Fei Leng couldn't help but chuckle as he looked at Jiang Jingyue's adorable appearance.

He carefully lifted Jiang Jingyue's blanket, intending to sleep next to her.

Fei Leng even suspected that Jiang Jingyue had cast a spell on him, otherwise why would he be so eager to come over so soon after Jiang Jingyue had only been around for a short time?
