Chapter 9: The Middle-Aged Childless Old Man (Part 8)

She was a little scared that what she had done would be found out, but then she thought that she had done things so secretly that no one would find out. Thinking of this, Jiang Shuyue breathed a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, Jiang Jingyue was lying in bed, comfortably letting Qiu Hua massage her. Although she had taken medicine to relieve her aches and pains, she still felt a little uncomfortable.

"Miss, why do you have so many red spots on your body? Were you bitten by insects when you were outside yesterday?"

Qiu Hua had never experienced anything like that, so when she saw the marks on Jiang Jingyue's body, she didn't think much of it and assumed they were just insect bites.

When Qiu Hua said this, Jiang Jingyue didn't refute it, mainly because she didn't know how to refute it.

I can't exactly tell her that it wasn't an insect bite, but a person bite!

"There have been a lot more insects lately, Qiuhua, you should also be more careful."

Upon hearing her master's words, Qiu Hua immediately nodded, her hands continuing their work without pause.

Jiang Jingyue was so comfortable that she fell asleep. When she woke up again, Qiu Hua woke her up because Qiu Hua said that her older brother was waiting for her outside.

Jiang Jingyue immediately guessed what he was there for. In fact, she had already discovered Jiang Minghan yesterday, and those words were deliberately provoked by Jiang Shuyue.

When Jiang Jingyue went outside, she saw a person standing there with a worried expression, seemingly lost in thought.

Jiang Minghan knew that Jiang Jingyue didn't want to see him, so he was in a bad mood.

When he saw Jiang Jingyue come out, his eyes lit up immediately, and he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

“Jing’er, I’m really happy that you’re willing to come out and see me. I’m sorry for what I did to you before, and I hope you can forgive me.”

When Jiang Jingyue heard him say that, a slightly mocking smile appeared on her lips.

Do you think that a wound that has long since reopened will be the same as before, even after it has healed?

Jiang Minghan understood the deeper meaning in Jiang Jingyue's words and immediately grabbed Jiang Jingyue.

"Jing'er, listen to me. I've been deceived by her all along, which is why things are like this. I've found out now that you've been framed all this time."

Don't worry, starting today, your older brother will make it up to you.

Jiang Minghan looked at Jiang Jingyue with a serious expression in her eyes, and a deep sense of regret in them.

He couldn't understand why he had trusted Jiang Shuyue so much before. Was it just because she seemed weak? Most people tend to protect the weak.

"Make amends? Forget it, I don't need to make amends now, brother, please leave!"

When Jiang Jingyue heard him say that he would make it up to her in the future, she couldn't help but laugh.

People are just like that; no matter what the original owner did, these people couldn't see her efforts.

Now, as soon as we move away from them, they rush towards us.

As soon as Jiang Jingyue said those words, Jiang Minghan was stunned. Overwhelming regret was about to engulf him.

Seeing that Jiang Jingyue was about to leave, Jiang Minghan subconsciously reached out and grabbed her.

"Jing'er, what do I have to do for you to forgive me?"

Jiang Jingyue did not answer this question. She turned around and went back to her room, leaving Jiang Minghan standing there with a bitter smile on her lips.

He knew that getting his sister to forgive him wouldn't be easy, given all the wrong things he had done in the past.

Now he can only come here every day. He believes that as long as he is sincere, his sister will forgive him one day.

"Miss, what's wrong with the young master all of a sudden? He would never have stepped into our courtyard before!"

Jiang Jingyue smiled and shook her head, indicating that she didn't know either.

Meanwhile, outside the palace, at the emperor's residence.

"How's it going? Have you found out? Which family's woman is it?"

Mo Yuhan asked Su Changde, who had just found out the information, with a look of anxiety on his face.

"Your Majesty, we've found out. The daughter of Prime Minister Jiang... she is..."

Su Changde didn't continue, unsure whether he should say anything more.

Seeing Su Changde's hesitant manner, Mo Yuhan's expression turned cold.

"Speak your mind. Why are you hesitating? Do you want me to send someone over to speak for you?"

Su Changde immediately shook his head and told Mo Yuhan everything he had found out.

"Your Majesty, I have learned that this daughter of Prime Minister Jiang is arrogant and domineering, disrespectful to her adoptive mother and elder brother, and abusive to her younger sister."

Mo Yuhan shook his head. He could tell that the little woman wasn't that kind of person.

"Go and investigate again. What you find out this time might only be the surface. Tell me when you have a clearer understanding. If you don't find out, don't come back."

Su Changde was completely bewildered. He had spent a whole day and night investigating all of this, but the Emperor told him that it was all fake and asked him to investigate again.

In the dead of night, a figure appeared on the fence outside the Prime Minister's residence.

Su Changde, watching from below as his emperor actually led him to climb over the wall, felt quite uneasy.

"Your Majesty, Miss Jiang is probably asleep. If you go in now, she won't be able to talk to you. It would be better to come during the day."

Su Changde originally thought that after he said all that, his emperor would definitely change his mind.

After all, once someone is asleep, there's nothing you can do if you want to.

But when he watched as his emperor scaled the wall and entered, his eyes widened in surprise.

Well, he just said so much, but his emperor wasn't listening at all.

With no other option, Su Changde could only find a relatively secluded place to hide and wait for his emperor.

Mo Yuhan didn't know what was going on either. He clearly didn't know where Jiang Jingyue lived, but he still found Jiang Jingyue's room accurately in the first place.

Meanwhile, Jiang Jingyue was taking a petal bath in the room. The surrounding steam added a touch of hazy beauty to her bathing experience.

Mo Yuhan, who was watching from behind, was stunned and didn't come back to his senses for a long time.

This was the first time Mo Yuhan had ever been so interested in a woman. He approached her step by step, and the closer he got, the more he could see the red marks on her body.

The thought that he was the one who did all of this made Mo Yuhan feel embarrassed, so he touched his nose.

There was no way to stop him; the little woman was too delicious, and he couldn't stop, asking for her again and again.
