How to raise children

How to raise children

Guan Shanyue was confused, holding up the paper and asked blankly, "Who is her father?"

Cheng Fengxuan looked at Guan Shanyue with an indescribable expression. Was there any other answer? "Shao Zizhuo."

Guan Shanyue took a deep breath: "Who gave birth to the child?" She had a vague answer in her mind, but the answer was too absurd and hard to convince anyone.

Shao Zizhuo lowered his brows, and his expression could not be seen clearly: "I."

Cheng Fengxuan pushed his glasses up, his eyes sharp. "I don't know why, but Zizhuo suddenly developed something like an external uterus. The fertilized egg automatically implanted itself, just like a seahorse, and the father's gestational pouch nurtured new life."

Guan Shanyue didn't know what expression he should use to face all this.

Does this mean that Shao Zizhuo got pregnant with her child and gave birth to it? Does this mean that she didn't have to give birth, nor did she have to endure the difficult infancy of the child, and she already had a cute, obedient, running and jumping daughter?

This, this, is this a system bug?

Is it time to laugh now?

Guan Shanyue looked at the closed door, where a little girl who was related to her by blood, her biological daughter, was sleeping.

Shao Zizhuo's voice suddenly rang out: "What else do you want to ask?"

Guan Shanyue didn't know where to start: "You, she..."

Shao Zizhuo said calmly: "After the diagnosis was made, I left the country. Later, because Zhenzhen was in poor health, I never dared to bring her back."

He was caught off guard and recalled those days again.

Guan Shanyue disappeared inexplicably, and there was no trace of her. He searched for her for a long time, almost everywhere she could go, until one day Niuniu let it slip, and he realized that she was not missing and Wang Xi could still contact her.

She just didn't want him anymore.

Maybe it was because he hadn't heard from her in so long, but his pain nerves had become numb. He just smiled it off and threw himself into his work without any emotional fluctuations.

He was busy day and night, filling every spare moment with work. His thoughts, which were deliberately buried, could never see the light of day. His life was as prosperous as Qinglian's.

Everything came to an abrupt end on the morning he fainted from hypoglycemia.

When he woke up again, he got an ultrasound report, which vaguely depicted the shape of a new life.

The doctor carefully considered his tone and communicated with him: "Mr. Shao, we have never treated this situation before. We suggest you go to the obstetrics and gynecology department of a public hospital. We do not recommend any other treatment for the time being."

He stared at the ultrasound report for a whole day and called his good friend who was far away abroad: "I'm pregnant. Can you handle it?"

Cheng Fengxuan suspected that Shao Zizhuo was playing a prank: "Are you crazy? What nonsense are you talking about so early in the morning?"

He had thought of all the consequences, but he had only one thought: he wanted to keep the child: "I'm pregnant. Can your hospital let me give birth to the child?"

Cheng Fengxuan was so frightened that he returned home crawling and rolling. He confirmed again and again that Shao Zizhuo was really pregnant and insisted on giving birth to the child. After gritting his teeth and making careful calculations, he suggested that Shao Zizhuo go abroad quietly while the month was still young.

He made up his mind to open an overseas department within half a month, and to go underground in the domestic department, leaving only a few key business personnel to handle important matters. Most of the rest of the company's business would be transferred to the overseas department, and then he would go abroad with ease.

Maybe it was due to the unfamiliar climate, but he fell seriously ill after landing. He was delirious with fever in a strange house in a foreign country and almost thought he would not survive until sunrise the next day.

But the sun rose as usual, and his illness gradually improved under Cheng Fengxuan's care.

Ten months later, Zhenzhen was born.

He was in a panic, not knowing whether his daughter's endless crying was due to sleepiness, hunger, or something else. The rationality he was proud of was overturned by the baby's crying.

The first time Zhenzhen was hospitalized for tonsillitis, he almost blamed himself in a self-destructive way. Cheng Fengxuan rushed over after hearing the news and found that his depression had reached a severe level.

The moment that Shao Zizhuo thought he would remember forever now seemed so vague as if it happened in his previous life.

He also didn't intend to let Guan Shanyue know that she didn't need to worry about the past anymore.

It's over.

He looked at the stunned person in front of him, and the corners of his lips curled up in a way that he himself couldn't even notice.

Guan Shanyue didn't know Shao Zizhuo had thought so much, so she asked weakly, "Then, what should we do now?"

She didn't know how to deal with it. She was indeed mentally prepared to have a child, and even prepared to suffer because of the child. But now a child had come from the sky, and she had to immediately assume the responsibilities of a mother.

She had to admit, she wasn't ready.

Guan Shanyue saw Shao Zizhuo's expression suddenly turn for the worse. He looked at his watch and said, "It's almost eight o'clock. I have a meeting today, so I have to leave first. Can you help Song Zhenzhen get to kindergarten? Thank you."

Guan Shanyue blinked, completely defenseless: "I don't know how to take care of children."

Shao Zizhuo was so cold that he didn't seem like a real father: "Just wash her up." He disappeared at the door in a flash.

Huh? You're just going to leave the child to me?

Guan Shanyue was at a loss.

She glanced at her phone helplessly. It was past seven o'clock. Should she wake the child? Guan Shanyue pushed open the door and looked at the child on the bed. She was so small that she only occupied a small corner of the bed. She was pressed against the corner, holding the quilt in her hands, sleeping soundly.

Like an unreal doll.

Guan Shanyue's heart softened a little. She walked over and whispered in Zhenzhen's ear: "Zhenzhen, get up and go to school." She was alert, anticipating the child's crying in the morning.

Zhenzhen rubbed her eyes and opened them. She saw the person in front of her clearly and was so surprised that all sleepiness disappeared: "Mom!" She stretched out her hands, wanting her mother to hug her, but she suddenly thought of what happened yesterday. She cried and called her mother, but her mother did not forgive her immediately like Meimei's mother did. Is it because her mother doesn't like her... Zhenzhen quickly retracted her hands, put them behind her back, and looked at Guan Shanyue timidly.

Guan Shanyue was stunned by the smooth movements. She didn't cry. How could she be so well-behaved? She smiled faintly and held out her hand to Zhenzhen: "Zhenzhen, it's Mommy. Daddy has something to do today, so Mommy will take you to kindergarten."

Zhenzhen blinked, smiled with all her baby teeth showing, and threw herself into Guan Shanyue's arms. She rubbed against him greedily. Her mother was soft, not at all like her father.

Her mother kept hugging her and didn't pick her up. Will she be late for kindergarten? The teacher just said yesterday that we can't be late. She asked doubtfully, "Mom, aren't you going to take me to wash my face and brush my teeth?"

Guan Shanyue was stunned for a moment: "Oh, okay, mommy will put on your shoes first."

Zhenzhen threw back the quilt, slid off the bed, stood barefoot on the floor, and was about to put her shoes on. Guan Shanyue was startled and quickly picked her up and put her on the bed: "Zhenzhen, sit still, mom will put them on for you."

Zhenzhen tilted her head and asked in confusion, "But Dad said that you should do your own things."

Guan Shanyue wiped her feet clean, carefully put on her socks, and then put on her shoes. He suddenly felt that Zhenzhen's question was very tricky and more difficult to answer than the verbal confrontations in the business world.

During her silence, Zhenzhen shook her feet, which were now wearing shoes, and asked her again, "Why?"

Guan Shanyue bit her lip and said, "Because the baby can't do this by himself. If the baby dresses himself, he will have to stand on the floor and his feet will get dirty. He needs his mother's help."

Zhenzhen accepted it and held out her hand: "Mom, wash your face."

Guan Shanyue led Zhenzhen into the bathroom and stared at the sink filled with only disposable items for a second. She held up a disposable face towel and said, "Zhenzhen, do you usually use this to wash your face?"

Zhenzhen took the washcloth and looked around: "What is this?"

It's not good to use this. Guan Shanyue took the face towel and put it away: "This is a face towel." She suddenly felt that she was short of money and wanted to ask Shao Zizhuo for help.

Her hands were quicker than her brain, and she quickly dialed Shao Zizhuo's number. As soon as the phone rang, the person on the other end answered immediately: "What's the matter?"

"Um, how does Zhenzhen usually wash her face and brush her teeth?" She picked up the disposable toothbrush for adults in front of her. "There are only disposable face towels and disposable toothbrushes here."

There was a moment of silence on the other end. "She usually washes her face with water and then dries it with a soft towel. She needs a special toothbrush. Go to the nurse's station on that floor and ask them for both."

Guan Shanyue had just breathed a sigh of relief when she heard a soft laugh from the phone. She could almost feel the warm breath Shao Zizhuo exhaled next to her ear. "Thank you for being so attentive to Zhenzhen. However, Zhenzhen is not a monster, nor is she a delicate porcelain doll. You can ask her directly about some things."

The tone of the person on the other end was very provocative: "She knows a little more than you." Guan Shanyue quickly hung up the phone, interrupting Shao Zizhuo's unfinished words.

Zhenzhen sensed her emotions and looked up and asked her, "What's wrong, Mom?"

Guan Shanyue cursed Shao Zizhuo in her heart, but gave Zhenzhen a polite smile: "It's okay."

She went to the nurse's station to get some toiletries and washed Zhenzhen clean. Zhenzhen tugged at her hair and asked her a new question: "Mom, comb your hair. I want to braid it today, like Aisha's braid."

Guan Shanyue scratched her hair. After running around all night, her curly hair hung in a mess. The kind mask on her face was almost shattered. Tie her hair? She really didn't know how to do it.

Looking at Zhenzhen's expectant face, Guan Shanyue smiled awkwardly and quickly pulled out her phone to look for a tutorial: "Mom has never done anyone else's hair before, and I only do my own high ponytail. Can you wait for me to learn?"

Zhenzhen was disappointed for a moment. Other people's mothers would braid their children's hair beautifully, so why couldn't her own mother do that? But then she thought about it and realized that other people's fathers couldn't braid their hair either, but hers could, so it was the same.

Zhenzhen climbed into Guan Shanyue's arms, blocking her view of the phone and saying, "Mom, you can wear a ponytail too."

Guan Shanyue breathed a sigh of relief, gathered all her hair, and combed it back hard. Zhenzhen fell backwards, and Guan Shanyue clamped her with his legs. Using all his strength, he tied her hair high at the back of her head and asked, "How is it?"

Zhenzhen tapped her forehead and raised her thumb to praise her mother: "Great!" Her mother's hairstyle is very unique, but her scalp is so tight that she can hardly open her eyes.
