The person I miss

The person I miss

"Sixteen million." The middle-aged man two seats away raised his sign to bid again.

Shao Zizhuo looked up and directly quoted a price: "Twenty million."

The host was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, "Number 2, 20 million. Is there a higher bid?"

Someone familiar with him leaned over and whispered to Shao Zizhuo in a disapproving tone: "Zizhuo, they bought these earrings to please the little girl. The investment value is not high. If you buy them for collection, fifteen million is the maximum. Twenty million is not worth it!"

Shao Zizhuo curled his lips and said, "Uncle Liu, you have a sharp eye. But I bought it as a gift for a girl, so I won't consider its investment value."

Uncle Liu glanced at Guan Shanyue and smiled ambiguously, "I know, I know. How can I choose a cheap gift for Xiao Yuan?"

Shao Zizhuo didn't hear him clearly and looked in the direction he was looking. The light was dim and Guan Shanyue was typing with her head down. Shao Zizhuo smiled helplessly and took out a business card and handed it to him: "Uncle Liu, she's not Wangshu, her name is Guan Shanyue, the founder of Lanshan Investment. If you're interested in investing, you might consider it."

After Guan Shanyue finished replying, she looked up and met a pair of kind eyes. She smiled friendly, and the other party nodded politely. Holding up a business card, he came over and asked, "Miss Guan, I have some investment intentions recently. I wonder if Lanshan can help me with this."

Guan Shanyue blinked, overjoyed. "It's not really a help, but if you need anything, just let us know and we'll send someone to serve you."

The host's surprised voice rang out again: "Number 7 bids 21 million!"

Shao Zizhuo said, "Twenty-five million."

The host excitedly flew out of the venue and confirmed again whether there was a higher bid.

Zhao Yi, who was sitting in the back row, slumped in his chair, dumbfounded. He pointed at the earrings on the stage and questioned Li Si in disbelief, "Didn't you say that Shao Zizhuo was kicked out of the Shao family with nothing and nothing given to him?"

Where did he get 20 million to buy earrings after being kicked out of the house?!

Li Si's eyes were gloomy as he stared at Shao Zizhuo's back in the front row. "The Shao family has suspended all of Shao Zizhuo's credit cards and repossessed all the real estate they bought for him. They're also currently working on clearing out the family fund account. Isn't this common knowledge? How could he possibly have money?"

If the Shao family had not publicly announced their intention to sever ties with Shao Zizhuo and even published it in the newspaper, how could he have found out the secrets of the Shao family's wealth?

On the stage, the host excitedly dropped the hammer: "Congratulations to Mr. Shao Zizhuo, President of No. 2 Qinglian Group, for winning the top item of this charity auction at a price of 25 million! Mr. Shao, please come to the stage to receive the donation certificate."

There was chaos in the front row, as if Shao Zizhuo had refused the certificate collection session arranged by the organizer, and the whispers in the back row could no longer be suppressed.

A female voice scolded: "Mr. Chen, you agreed to give me the earrings, why did you give them to someone else?"

The man's voice was filled with anger: "Get lost, ignorant woman." He lowered his voice, as if talking to himself, "When did the boss of the Shao family become the CEO of Qinglian?"

The woman's voice suddenly fell silent, and she began to humble herself and gently coax him.

On the side is another couple.

The woman blamed him, "What did I say? Shao Zizhuo was kicked out of his home, but he was still invited to such an event. It must not be that the auction house was doing this favor for the sake of the Shao family. Just now, he came over with his female companion to say hello to us, and you gave him a cold look. Listen, Shao Zizhuo, CEO of Qinglian! Your recent investment is from his company, and you haven't even received it yet, but you're bullying his CEO. Just wait for him to withdraw his shares."

The man was annoyed. "Who could have imagined this? Although the Shao family has interests in various industries, their main business is industry. But Qinglian started out as an investment company, and its subsequent development direction leaned towards entertainment and the digital economy. There was no way they could use the Shao family's connections. They have been operating for several years, but only recently became a leader. Plus, the president of Qinglian never shows up, and it's always the employees who do the work. Who knew it was Shao Zizhuo?"

The woman sighed: "Forget it, it's already happened, let's think about how to make amends."

Zhao Yi scratched his head. "Qinglian? Why does she sound familiar? I've heard of her somewhere before. The company that Shao Zizhuo just joined also offers pretty good treatment."

Li Si's face was ashen, and an air of decay enveloped him. He replied dully, "Yes, we started our business with money invested by others, so of course you are familiar with it."

Zhao Yi was shocked: "What? It was Qinglian who invested in us. Was it Shao Zizhuo who invested in us?"

Li Si no longer wanted to argue, so he kicked the chair away and walked out straight away: "I'll find time to apologize another day."

Zhao Yi was stunned for two seconds, then quickly picked up his bag and chased after him.

Guan Shanyue in the front row had no idea what was happening in the back row.

Guan Shanyue pulled out the last business card from her bag and handed it to the big boss behind her on the right. As if they had known each other for a long time, he took her hand and said wistfully, "When I was young, I was just like you, working hard for my career. But my husband isn't as good as Mr. Shao. He always blames me for neglecting our family. It's so great that you and Mr. Shao are like this."

Guan Shanyue glanced at Shao Zizhuo beside him and said to the boss, "It's true that having someone accompany you on your journey of struggle is good luck, but people like you who have become industry leaders on their own are the best. I still have a lot to learn from you."

Shao Zizhuo sat aside calmly waiting for her to entertain him, with the corners of his mouth rising unconsciously.

After speaking a few more words to the people around him, Guan Shanyue rubbed his stiff face and said, "Why weren't they so enthusiastic just now?"

So, with the acquisition of a collection worth tens of millions, and the status of Qinglian's president, Shao Zizhuo suddenly became a superstar? She also benefited from it, and all the business cards were distributed.

But why don’t they look for Shao Zizhuo?

Guan Shanyue turned her head to look at Shao Zizhuo, who had an expressionless face and looked as if he was keeping people at a distance. Well, it seemed that she would be rejected even if she looked for him.

Shao Zizhuo caught her gaze and met her gaze, looking as if he was accustomed to it. "That's just how they are. They'll chase after anyone with power and money. Compared to your own qualities, they favor status more. People like you who are gentle, approachable, and have a promising future are the ones they love to cling to the most."

Guan Shanyue suddenly felt that these CEOs were so boring, but these were her clients, and she had no choice but to protect them.

Suddenly, a surprised unfamiliar male voice came from behind: "Guan Shanyue!"

A figure flashed by, and a strange face appeared before him, pointing a finger at his nose: "It's me, Xiao Wu. You bought me a workbook in high school, don't you remember?"

Guan Shanyue blinked. Okay, the first old friend whose background she didn't know appeared. She stared at his face, pretending to think, and said embarrassedly, "Oh, I haven't contacted you for a long time. I almost forgot."

Xiao Wu chuckled, "It's okay." He winked at Guan Shanyue, "Just remember your idol."

Guan Shanyue's eyebrows curved and she couldn't help grinning. No way, wasn't that story between her and Shao Zizhuo made up by her? Why would someone actually bring it up and ask about it?

Shao Zizhuo's brows softened as he looked at Guan Shanyue intently, feeling secretly pleased in his heart: She had indeed been thinking about me since high school.

Honey flows out of the honeycomb, filling the missing part in the heart, blocking all hesitations and anxieties, and mending an airtight peace.

Xiao Wu jumped in front of Shao Zizhuo again and patted his shoulder: "Why didn't you say hello to me when you came back? We used to have supper together after evening self-study. It's okay if she forgot me, but you didn't forget too, did you?"

No matter where in his memory, Shao Zizhuo couldn't find the existence of this person, but he was in a good mood and explained in a rare good-tempered manner: "I was a day student in high school and never went out for supper with friends. Did you remember the wrong person?"

Xiao Wu's eyes widened. "What do you mean by commuting? We live in the dorms next to each other. I'm in 1304, and you're in 1305!"

Guan Shanyue stared at him blankly, and out of the corner of her eye she saw Shao Zizhuo was also stunned, so she burst out laughing.

Looking at the two people in front of him who seemed to not know him, Xiao Wu became even more anxious. He had thought that he had tried to establish a relationship with them, but they treated him coldly. He had never thought that they would forget him. He described it with his hands dancing excitedly: "Think about it again." He pointed at Guan Shanyue, "Back then, you took the love letter and handed it to him in front of the whole school at the end of exercise!"

Guan Shanyue smiled awkwardly: "I have lost my memory and have forgotten all these things." My goodness, the book didn't even write that the heroine pursued the hero so openly, so how can I come up with a plot to make it last?

Shao Zizhuo stood up with a cold expression: "Sir, we have something else to do, so we'll leave first."

Guan Shanyue was just worried about not being able to make it right, so he breathed a sigh of relief and quickly stood up: "Xiao Wu, let's talk next time we have a chance, we are in a hurry."

Xiao Wu was stunned for a moment, then cheerfully pulled out his phone and said, "Alright, I'll treat you guys to a meal next time. Leave your contact information. You two haven't joined the class group, and I can't find anyone to catch up with after all these years."

Guan Shanyue had a vague feeling that this man was a liar. With a forced smile, he politely reminded him, "He and I are not even in the same class. How could we be in the same class group?"

Xiao Wu froze in place, his hand trembling as he reached for his phone. It was broad daylight, what the hell was going on? He looked down. Fortunately, all three people had shadows, but he was still a little scared. He raised his hand tremblingly and pointed at Guan Shanyue. "You, you are Guan Shanyue, right?"

Guan Shanyue was puzzled: "Yeah."

He trembled and pointed at Shao Zizhuo's figure with his back to him: "You, you are Yu Yang, right?"

The text message that Shao Zizhuo accidentally clicked on, "Yueyue, I am Yu Yang", "confession", "going abroad", "the male god that I can't forget", all the clues were strung together into a string of beads, pointing to the only possibility, but at the moment when the person belonging to this space questioned it, the rope broke in an instant, the beads fell apart, and rolled to every corner of the floor.

Guan Shanyue didn't dare to delve into her own guess and asked Xiao Wu in disbelief, "Who do you say he is?"
