Chapter 9 Going to Liuhua City

Chapter 9 Going to Liuhua City

I slept soundly until dawn the next day.

Su Yu jumped down from the tree in a few leaps and landed on the ground. He rummaged through the things he had stuffed in the system space to wash up and took a piece of bread that hadn't expired yet for breakfast. All these products that were out of place in this world were stuffed into the system space by him.

The system checked the logs and said:

With Su Yu's consent, the system promptly deployed the virtual map:

Xiao Qi was quite reliable when it came to giving directions, Su Yu thought with a strange sense of relief, and headed towards Liuhua City as instructed by the system.

In the dark forest, his figure was gradually obscured by the lush, twisted demonic plants.

A week later, at Yalin outside Liuhua City.

Two groups of young demons are facing off, and they are probably all teenagers.

"We were the first to discover this clump of crimson frost grass!"

"Bullshit! It was clearly us!"

"Nonsense! Come on, let's fight! Whoever wins keeps it!"

"Alright! Don't cry and go home to your parents if you lose!"

Although they couldn't agree on anything, the two groups of demons quickly reached a consensus.

"Kill him!!"

A chaotic battle broke out in an instant.

Su Yu, who had finally managed to cross the great forest with the help of the system's cheating, was secretly crouching in the bushes not far away, watching the chaotic battle of the demon horde and marveling softly.

Wow!

Previously, in that small town whose name he didn't know, he was only concerned with escaping and concealing his human identity. Today, he has witnessed the generally violent temper of the demon race.

If you're unsure what to do, just fight it out first.

Su Yu shrank back silently. Well, she'd better wait until they finished fighting before going out.

However, when the demon youths, who were going through a rebellious phase, fought, it was a chaotic and violent battle, with sand and stones flying everywhere, regardless of the weather.

With a "whoosh," a dagger flew out from the melee, leaping over the bushes and embedding itself straight into the ground next to Su Yu.

Everyone froze for a moment.

Then, a roar rang out: "Brothers! Let's grab our weapons!"

Su Yu gasped inwardly. Were these demons really this ruthless in a fight? They brought out all sorts of magical weapons, clearly aiming to kill each other. Some even went so far as to attack anyone, regardless of whether they were on their side.

He thought to himself that he couldn't afford to offend them, and decided to make a quick getaway.

Just as Su Yu was quietly retreating, intending to take a detour to leave, hoping not to alert these bloodthirsty guys.

A familiar pressure from the Golden Core stage enveloped the area.

Su Yu squatted down to relieve the pressure.

He could now sense that the newcomer was at the peak of the Golden Core stage.

The group of teenagers who were specifically targeted were all forced to lie face down on the ground.

A loud voice rang out: "You bunch of little brats, I told you to come out and train, and you still want to fight!"

"Go back and empty all the chamber pots!"

"What?!!"

A chorus of wails filled the air.

Uncle Wu stroked his beard and said, "Not happy? Then we'll add more cleaning to the training ground."

The heads below shook like rattles.

Uncle Wu shook his head and sighed in exasperation, then suddenly became serious, turning his head to glare at the bushes that had just moved not far away: "Who goes there! Come out!"

A familiar-looking young boy with weeds on his head popped out and smiled sheepishly at him, "Uncle Wu, long time no see."

Wu Heng was taken aback at first, then looked closely at the dirty boy in front of him for a while. After realizing what was happening, he was overjoyed and appeared in front of Su Yu in the blink of an eye.

"Ah Jiu? You actually came out on your own?"

Just as Su Yu was about to put on a gentle and friendly smile, Uncle Wu grabbed her tightly.

"Now that you're here, come with me to the Hua family and catch up with the young master. He's been worried about you."

Su Yu swallowed the polite words that were about to come out.

Before Su Yu could react, Wu Heng decisively grabbed him and flew away on his sword, leaving behind a group of bewildered and curious demon youths.

They were all children with some talent for cultivation who were sponsored by the Hua family. Most of them would join the Hua family's caravan as guards after they grew up.

Because Uncle Wu led his team on business trips for many years, he was highly respected by these prospective guards. They would keep an eye on their situation whenever they had time, and even the instructors would listen to his advice.

Uncle Wu returned about two weeks ago, and now is the time when he is keeping a close eye on their training. But now he has abandoned them and left because of a child who suddenly appeared.

It seems to be related to Young Master Hua Xian?

The boys looked at each other, but in the end they didn't delve too deeply into it.

Meanwhile, Uncle Wu led Su Yu at breakneck speed to the Hua family's location.

Hearing the whistling wind in her ears, Su Yu shouted at the top of her lungs, "Uncle Wu! Is it that urgent?!"

Uncle Wu replied loudly, "Oh dear, I can't really say, you'll find out when you get there!"

Uncle Wu didn't answer his questions anymore, and even silently sped up, as if afraid he would run away.

Su Yu's lips twitched slightly. He had initially thought that something had happened to Hua Xian and Feng Shier, but now, seeing Uncle Wu's attitude, he would have really wanted to run away if it weren't for their previous interactions.

The guards of Liuhua City generally knew the leaders who frequently came and went on business trips, and naturally they also recognized Uncle Wu.

Therefore, when entering the city gate, Uncle Wu only slowed down slightly. After letting the guards know that he was the one who came, he threw a small bag of magic stones to the guard captain as an entry fee, and then resumed his speed.

The squad leader, beaming with joy, held the bag of magic stones and, without questioning who the cub he was carrying was, let him pass.

As expected of the Hua family, they're incredibly generous. Besides the city entry fee they had to pay, he still had quite a bit left for himself!

Su Yu's eyes flickered behind Uncle Wu. Although 537 had explained the currency used in the Demon Realm to him, the only things he could use to trade in the Demon Realm during his time there were only some demonic plants he had picked from the Dark Rose Forest.

While the system's shield prevented unexpected dangers, it also prevented him from getting close enough to capture lower-level monsters.

Perhaps those magical plants can be exchanged for some magic stones.

Upon entering Liuhua City, Uncle Wu did not linger; the scenes within Liuhua City flashed before Su Yu's eyes.

Uncle Wu stopped when they arrived at the Hua residence and led Su Yu inside.

The roadside landscaping plants are almost all transplanted from Magic Plant, and there are still plenty of artificial hills and ponds.

But this route bypassed the main hall where guests were received. Strange, was Hua Xian going to meet him in his own courtyard?

Just as Su Yu was about to ask Uncle Wu what was going on, a roar suddenly came from the building in front of her.

"You little brat, how dare you talk back?!"
