Chapter 18 Little Treasure Trove
Yu Conglang released his grip, palm down, and more fragments fell with a clatter. He stood up and said, "Let's go."
Guardian Number One secretly breathed a sigh of relief and quickly used his demonic energy to roll the teacup fragments in front of the family head to the side.
Yu Conglang paused, and a flat voice came from behind him: "You do have some sense."
"This is none of your business. Go back to the warehouse."
"Yes! Respectfully seeing off the patriarch." Guard number one maintained his bowing posture, not daring to raise his head, until the footsteps faded into the distance.
He was secretly relieved that the head of the family had not punished him, even though the incident involving the young master of the Hua family in the warehouse was indeed unrelated to him.
The other demons and servants in the private room also followed the patriarch out, leaving the room empty. Guard Number One wiped the cold sweat from his brow, unable to help but wonder if the patriarch's decision to let him go meant he still held him in high regard.
The other demons in the private room knew that this guard would have no chance of promotion within the Yu family's power; the best outcome would be that he would remain a warehouse guard for life.
Not long after the Yu family's demons left, they bumped into the Hua family's demons, who were hurrying along.
Upon seeing Yu Conglang, that old bastard, Hua Meng couldn't help but darken her face. As she hurried along, she said sternly, "The physician has already gone ahead. Patriarch Yu, my Ah Xian had an accident on your turf!"
Yu Conglang caught up with Hua Meng's speed and said anxiously, "Oh dear, the most important thing right now is to go see my nephew!"
"I don't know what it bumped into; kids are just so curious."
Hua Meng's face darkened, and he sneered inwardly, "This old bastard actually wants to pin the blame on his son."
They are utterly shameless, disrespectful to their elders, and their hearts are black as ink!
Hua Meng silently increased her speed.
On the other side, before Yu Ronglan ran out, the three demons found the location of the small treasure vault, but they didn't know how to open the door that seemed to be integrated with the wall.
When Yu Ronglan sneaked in earlier, in order to conceal herself, she quickly slipped away when she noticed the supervisor standing in front of the wall and glancing back from time to time.
This wall is right at the corner, seemingly an empty space left because the room was too small to fit the shelves; it's about the width of one person.
Su Yu watched the other two demons groping and tapping around on the wall and felt a little embarrassed to watch.
Hua Xian had previously been confident that the mechanism for this hidden door must be nearby, and that simply turning a vase or other object would open it.
The reason was that he had seen such a hidden door mechanism before, in the branch of the flower and tree trading company he had visited before.
As a result, all the items on the adjacent shelves were moved, but the door remained completely unmoved.
Su Yu touched the patterns on the wall and suddenly reached out to Hua Xian.
"Where's that fragment? Let's try sticking it on."
Hua Xian obediently said "oh," took out the fragment, aligned it with the pattern Su Yu pointed to, and pressed it down firmly.
Su Yu grabbed Hua Xian by the collar, who was eager to rush in, and waited until the door was fully open, revealing the interior, before following the other two demons into the secret room.
There were many good things in the secret room, most of which were neatly stored in containers.
Hua Xian immediately opened several boxes nearby to look inside. The brilliance of different treasures shimmered in the room. However, the dark fragments in one of the small boxes seemed out of place among the other precious artifacts and elixirs.
Although the torn edges don't match the piece they have, they are clearly made of the same material, fragments from a broken object.
Upon closer inspection, the shapes of these fragments seem to match the patterns on the exterior wall.
Su Yu narrowed his eyes, stepped forward without hesitation, picked up a few pieces and put them in his pocket, and calmly said to the other two demons, "Alright, Yu Ronglan, you hurry up and lure people over. We'll remember to give you a share of the loot."
Yu Ronglan came to her senses, scoffed, and didn't refuse. After saying a few things she wanted, she turned around and ran out while shouting for help.
Su Yu and Hua Xian, who remained behind, quickly ransacked the place. Su Yu even managed to recall the original layout from memory.
So when the three family heads led the large group of onlookers to the warehouse, the small treasure vault had already been closed up perfectly.
As soon as Hua Meng stepped into the warehouse, she used her divine sense to pinpoint the location of Hua Xian and Su Yu.
The aura emanating from Hua Xian was very weak.
The Hua family head, who had been relatively calm, suddenly began to panic.
No, the brat really got into trouble?
Hua Meng had no patience to walk slowly with the other two old scoundrels, and suddenly flashed over to Hua Xian's side.
"My son! I don't want to outlive my son!"
Su Yu was sadly and anxiously channeling demonic energy into Hua Xian, who was lying flat, when she caught a glimpse of a huge black shadow rushing towards her. She hurriedly got up and moved to another position to continue her grief.
Hua Xian was lying weakly on the ground when her elderly father suddenly appeared and hugged her, startling her so much that she almost couldn't catch her breath.
"Cough cough... Father..." Hua Xian slightly lifted his eyelids, coughed a few more times, and a few tears welled up in the corners of his eyes. "I'm afraid... I can't make it..."
"Before I leave, I have only one wish..."
Hua Meng paused in her worry, slowed her movements as she checked Hua Xian's body, and glanced at Su Yu, who was still grieving beside her.
Su Yu gave him a shy smile.
"Brother Hua, how is my nephew doing?"
Hurried footsteps approached, and a group of demons quickly followed.
"Hurry up and take a look at Young Master Hua Xian!" Yu Conglang gestured for his merchant's physician to come forward and examine him carefully.
The physician stepped forward tremblingly and cautiously said to Hua Meng, "Master Hua, may I come closer...?"
Hua Meng nodded with a sullen face and made room for the doctor.
Surrounded by numerous demons, the doctor broke out in a cold sweat.
He looked at the young master Hua Xian; his face was pale, his breath was weak, and his body was stiff and unable to move. He thought that he must have been poisoned by some strange poison.
He used his demonic energy to sense the flow of demonic energy within Hua Xian's meridians. Although it was somewhat weak and slow, the flow was still relatively smooth.
It's truly bizarre and strange.
The doctor stroked his goatee with one hand and examined Hua Xian's wrist with the other, lost in thought.
Hua Meng stepped aside and happened to stand next to Su Yu. Then, she stared at the doctor who was diagnosing Hua Xian with a dark look in her eyes.
Seeing that the doctor remained silent, he did not anxiously question him.
Yu Conglang slowly opened his mouth: "What..."
"Boom—"
A loud bang spread from the shelf closest to the demons.
Yu Conglang turned around, his eyes instantly wide with fury.
His family has such a treasure trove!!
No, this explosion was heading towards that little treasure vault!
Completely disregarding the younger generation of the Hua family, he immediately flew up and used his magic to gather a large amount of water to extinguish the flames caused by the explosion.
It left a wet stain.
Su Yu silently watched with narrowed eyes from the side.
This wave is huge. He'll go back and see what good stuff the system has left.
When he first learned to draw qi into his body, he asked the system if there was a suitable cultivation method for him. However, the little system unexpectedly insisted that he should follow the storyline and leave the Su family before it could give him the method.
When I first fell into the Demon Realm, I was busy settling down, so I didn't rush to bring it up. Now it's time to give it to him.
The fire was extinguished, but many of the shelves were left in a mess.
Looking at the shelves scattered and overturned before him, Yu Conglang was furious and roared at Yu Jiamo, who had followed him, "Hurry up and clean it up!"
