Chapter 16 Professor

Chapter 16 Professor

Chris's premonition turned out to be correct. Throughout the entire class, Professor Lowry kept glancing meaningfully in his direction. Not to be outdone, Chris responded directly and frankly to Lowry's gazes.

Chris knew that he would inevitably upset Lowry because of the teaching incident last semester, but he did not expect Lowry's targeting to come so quickly and immediately.

Lorifeng cast his gaze at Corris for the umpteenth time, but this time he met Corris's cold black eyes that were staring straight at him. His heart skipped a beat and he felt inexplicably uneasy.

Lori was irritated, as if his authority was being challenged. Clearly, the exasperated Professor Lori Feng urgently needed to do something to demonstrate to everyone in the class that he still had control over the troublesome student, Krisnar.

Lori finished explaining this knowledge point and turned the page on the holographic screen - it was a medium-difficulty question.

With his many years of experience as a student, Chris knew he was in trouble the moment Lowry looked at him again.

As expected, Lori called Chris's name, eager to see the action unfold. "Here, I just covered the knowledge points involved in this question. Nar, try it."

The teaching holographic screen in front of Corris lit up, prompting him to write down his problem-solving process on it. While he was writing, the screen would also be projected onto the teaching screens of other students.

He hadn't been distracted for even a millisecond throughout the entire class, constantly on guard against Lori's sudden attack. Now that he had actually encountered the situation he had imagined, Chris felt a little relieved.

His Adam's apple rolled, and he swallowed slightly, pouring all his energy into the test set by Lori. He frowned indifferently and shook the electronic pen in his hand.

"Nar, if you don't know how to do it, you can ask other classmates for help..." Lori became more and more rampant, pretending to be understanding, as if he really wanted to give Chris a way out.

After hearing this, Chris wanted to roll his eyes in his heart, but he knew there was no need to quarrel for the time being, so he suppressed his emotions, ignored Lori at the front of the classroom, and started to do the questions on his own.

Lori felt annoyed when he saw that his challenge seemed to have hit cotton, but he couldn't find any way to continue to make things difficult for Chris. He could only watch Chris's problem-solving process coldly, ready to find fault with him at any time.

Chris quickly read through the questions and had a rough idea in mind. He lightly touched the tip of his electronic pen to the holographic screen and wrote down the first stroke of his answer.

Thanks to his previous frantic self-study to catch up, Chris now generally does not find medium-difficulty questions particularly difficult, not to mention that he also listened carefully to the lectures.

His palms were sweaty, but he held the pen steady as he meticulously wrote his answers on the holographic screen. Although his thinking and answers were slow, the content was completely correct!

Most of the other students in the classroom were former classmates of the original owner, Chris. In their impression, Chris has always been indifferent to studying and doesn't seem like the type to listen to lectures carefully.

But now, Chris seemed a little different... No sound came out of the classroom, but everyone couldn't help but look at each other with surprise in their eyes.

As a professor, Lowry naturally knew whether Corris's answer was correct or not. His face became darker and darker, and he almost couldn't maintain his expression.

After Curris finished writing the last part and the teaching system determined his answer was correct, Lori paused and snorted coldly, "Hmph, you're so slow at completing it. What will you do when the exam comes up, or even when you're actually flying?"

Chris knew he had passed this test without incident. He was not happy to upset someone like Lowry, so he put on a humble and sincere face and thanked Professor Lowry for his reminder. "Okay, Professor. I'll keep working hard. In future flight training sessions, I'll follow your instructions and never violate classroom rules..."

Everyone present knew of the "glorious deeds" of the original owner, Kris. When they heard what Kris was saying, they were momentarily in disbelief. Was this really not the quiet Krisnar from before?!

After hearing Chris's sarcastic words, Lori immediately puffed his beard and glared fiercely at Chris, who was smiling at the back of the classroom.

Under the gaze of all the students, Lowry continued his lecture with a sullen face. Fortunately, after this minor farce, Lowry did not cause any more trouble until the end of the class.

The arduous flight training class finally came to an end. As the bell rang and the end notice popped up on the holographic screen, Chris felt that he had been redeemed.

Lori announced the dismissal of the class, but suddenly changed the subject and called out to Cris who was about to leave through the back door: "Crisnar, stay." His voice was loud enough to make everyone quiet for a moment, and glances of sympathy mixed with curiosity followed, almost drowning Cris.

Chris was really speechless. He had never seen such a petty teacher... But in front of everyone, he couldn't just leave, so he had to swallow his anger and walk back.

"Professor, what's the question?" Chris's attitude changed from moment to moment. No matter how respectful he appeared on the surface, his inner impatience was revealed in his subtle movements and expressions.

"Nar, for the sake of your family, I'm willing to give you another chance... Your parents actually care about you very much, don't let them down this semester." When talking to Lowry face to face, Lowry softened and looked like a kind and amiable professor.

The Narrs? Hearing Lorifeng mention them, Corriss couldn't help but become alert. He knew that Old Narr had used some means to get the original owner's file, but he hadn't expected that even Lorifeng's superficial relationship would be involved.

I hope I'm overthinking it... When Chris heard what Lori said just now, he subconsciously felt that something was wrong, but for a moment he couldn't find the point of his confusion.

"I understand." Chris hid his suspicion well, lowered his head obediently, and responded in a low voice, as if he was ashamed of his behavior.

Lorifeng nodded with satisfaction. He felt that he had saved another fragile bad student. He imagined that the title of full professor that he had missed in the past would be beckoning to him in the near future - as long as the powerful and eccentric Krisnar in front of him would cooperate well.

Lori's voice became softer and softer, which made Chris feel so sick that he got goose bumps. He couldn't bear it anymore and interrupted Lori's unfinished speech: "Professor, I have a class later. It's with Admiral Nuhra..." Chris looked embarrassed.

When he heard Nuhra's name for the first time, Lori's face changed unpredictably. He choked, as if he wanted to get rid of something dirty. Without saying a word, he waved his hands to signal Chris to leave.

Chris felt relieved, and at least said "goodbye" to Lori politely. Facing Lori's heavy gaze, which seemed to be real, he quickly left the classroom.

He told Lori that his next class was with Nuhra, and it wasn't a lie, but meeting Nuhra face to face was also a big problem.

However, after Professor Lowry's earnest instruction, Chris felt that Nuhra seemed much friendlier. Having just been delayed by Lowry at the end of class, he was a little worried that he would be late for this class, so he anxiously checked the time on his terminal.

Suddenly realizing that it was getting late, Chris had to run again to the classroom for the next class.

Nuhra's course was more popular than expected. When Chris arrived, the huge auditorium was almost packed with students in various uniforms.

Kris struggled in and out of the crowd several times and heard someone calling his name not far away: "Kris, come here!"

In the crowded and noisy corridor, Chris turned halfway with all his strength and saw his roommate Lauren waving at him vigorously from a distance. There was limited space beside him, so he could only nod to indicate that he saw it.

When he finally came to the empty seat reserved by Lauren after going through all the hardships, the empty seat was actually between Lauren and another girl with short hair. To get in, he first had to pass the girl sitting by the aisle.

The girl with short platinum hair had already seen Chris when Lauren waved. As Chris approached, she smiled slightly and stood up to make room for him.

Chris felt a little embarrassed. After all, he was the one who troubled others. He thanked them with an apologetic look, "Thank you."

The girl gave him a proper smile, and her ethereal voice was like a gentle breeze as she responded calmly, "You're welcome. So you are Krisnar..."

"Yes, may I ask who you are?" Chris had no memory of seeing this female student from the Medical Logistics Department, so he asked in confusion.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm Margaret King, and Lauren and I are in the same class." Margaret opened her eyes wide in surprise at first, then she composed herself and started talking to Chris naturally.

Lauren nodded shyly in agreement and added, "Because I'm not very familiar with the college, Margaret brought me to class... We also saved a seat for you together."

"Oh..." Chris roughly understood. Since Margaret showed kindness first, he should respond. "Nice to meet you, Margaret."

"I don't know how this class will go, I'm a little looking forward to it." Margaret winked at Corris and Nuhra smartly, her tone hinting at anticipation.

Compared to Margaret, Lauren looked a little nervous. "I... I just hope Admiral Nuhra won't be so strict." He looked a little distressed. "After all, I only studied in a very ordinary school before... I might not be suitable for choosing this course."

"It's okay," said Chris, who had traveled through time and space and was studying on his own recently. He could empathize with Lauren's troubles and comforted her, "Nuhra, uh, Admiral Nuhra's course is just an elective. Maybe it's not that difficult?"

Margaret also gave Lauren a cheering gesture, "Yeah, we all have no experience, so let's help each other and work hard together!"

Lauren cheered up a little after hearing what they said and said gratefully, "Yeah! I won't give up so quickly!"

Margaret wanted to say something else when the bell rang, drowning out the noise in the noisy classroom. Everyone immediately fell silent, sat up straight, and looked forward to the arrival of Admiral Nuhra.

Just before the bell rang, a left foot in a black leather combat boot stepped into the classroom. Everyone watched as the tall man walked up to the podium with a gust of air, his steps steady and impressive.

Nuhra smiled but said nothing, choosing first to scan the audience slowly and deeply with his signature golden-brown eyes.

Corris couldn't dodge in time and stared at Nuhra blankly. He vaguely saw the corners of the other's mouth rise slightly.

Chris didn't dare to look anymore, and turned his head away in an attempt to hide himself, trying to avoid Nuhra's sight, but met Margaret's thoughtful eyes.

The two of them suddenly looked at each other, and Chris was very embarrassed... But Margaret seemed to be teasing him, raising her beautiful eyebrows, and staring at Chris with her deep blue eyes like a brewing storm at sea.
