Chapter 57 Learning Never Ends
After two days of intense mental stress, Chris's life, at least on the surface, returned to a peaceful state, and he was very satisfied with it... After all, Chris was born afraid of trouble. If he had not been involved in the huge conspiracy of Rui Leisi from the beginning, he might have just lay down after crossing over.
Today was the day Curris agreed to go home, but before leaving school, he still took time to train with a few free teammates.
Chris was originally worried about meeting Sayid again in the training hall, but then he thought, Margaret and Joan were there, Sayid was alone, what was there to be afraid of?
I don’t know whether Sayid didn’t go to work today, or he just happened to avoid me... Anyway, this elusive man didn’t show up, and Chris felt more relaxed.
After entering the training room and closing the door, Margaret told her classmates what she had been doing the past few days: "I went to the student union and told them I wanted to withdraw my sponsorship. They immediately gave me the IP address that sent the anonymous report email."
"Ah? Wait, what did you say?" Chris didn't expect that Margaret said she would go to the Student Union to inquire about the situation, but she actually "inquired" in this way... Joan, however, looked accustomed to it and nodded to indicate that she understood.
"The student union was in the wrong about the search to begin with, and they didn't want to make a big deal out of it. When I suggested settling it privately and made a small threat... the IP address would be easy to get." Margaret smiled kindly at Chris, but Chris actually sensed a hint of cunning in her smile.
"I didn't expect the student union to be so, uh..." Before crossing over, Corris had also worked as a small leader in a department under the student union in college. Obviously, the situation here is very different.
"I guess you want to talk about corruption?" Qiong Liang quickly completed the unfinished meaning in Chris's words. Chris was touched by his thoughts and quickly looked at Margaret's expression.
"I didn't say anything." Chris' eyes widened and he immediately tried to distance himself from the matter, fearing that this would upset Margaret.
Margaret laughed heartily, unconcerned by the derogatory comment. "That's perfectly normal. Who doesn't have some background studying here? The Student Union is the academy's largest official organization, with a long history and extensive connections. Exchanging benefits is just the most basic thing... I guarantee that all the student unions on the capital planet are similar."
Corris did not comment, raised his eyebrows and said, "It seems that I am short-sighted." In Corris's recollection, the original owner seemed to have no interest in these so-called college clubs. The Narr couple once wanted him to join the student union, but was rejected by the original owner with a tough attitude.
"It's fortunate to be unaware of and not involved in these things." Margaret smiled, her eyes cold. "We have to give them money every year. If we don't, no one in our family will be able to join the student union in the future... Is this considered a good thing?"
Margaret didn't need them to answer; everyone present knew what she was really thinking. For a moment, the atmosphere in the training room grew heavy, until Joan told them to start training, and the topic was quietly passed over.
Today's training is still the same as before. According to Joan, all of them must achieve A-level results in the simulation system before they can leave the virtual system and practice in actual scenarios.
Recalling the B-grade he'd received yesterday, Kris couldn't help but throw himself into his training even more seriously. Today's obstacle course was similar to last time, but Kris focused on effectively hitting the moving targets, not caring too much about his overall score. He was already prepared for a lower rating.
In the end, as Chris expected, his grade became B-. However, in this practice, he deliberately did not pursue the number of targets hit. Instead, he strictly followed the scoring requirements and only focused on shooting at a few parts. Finally, he got some feel for it.
After training, Chris hurriedly exchanged a few thoughts with Joan, then rushed to take a shower—he still remembered he had to go home tonight. Coming out of the bathroom, he happened to run into Ian and Chris, who had come with him. They stayed and chatted for a few minutes before leaving the training room.
He could be said to be eager to go home now. He got on the shuttle bus and called his car on the terminal to drive to the college gate in advance and wait for him.
【Nuhra: Have you returned home? 】
Chris set up the vehicle program, and Nuhra's message happened to pop up on the page. Chris clicked it and replied affirmatively. Nuhra didn't say anything else. He didn't wait for more information and closed the terminal page.
Chris took the shuttle bus and finally arrived at the school gate. He saw his car from a distance and trotted out of the school gate as if some monster was chasing him.
Although he has to go back to school tomorrow, being able to spend some time with Nuhra and staying at home for a while can allow Chris to temporarily escape from all the tedious things and gain a little peace.
As night fell and the lights came on, there was more traffic on the main road than in the morning. Chris was delayed on the road for a while, but finally returned to his and Nuhra's new villa smoothly.
Chris didn't bring anything home. He picked up a small portable handbag and got out of the car, preparing to return to the connected villa through the garage.
Entering the living room, Nuhra was sitting on a sofa not far away, carefully reading the information displayed on the holographic screen in front of her. Even with his back to Corris, he could still sense his presence. "Welcome home."
Nuhra came back earlier than Corris. He had already taken off his military jacket, leaving only the white lining underneath. His cuffs were rolled up, revealing his forearm muscles... He looked a little more relaxed.
Corris no longer tried to lighten his steps. He walked a few steps to the back of the sofa where Nuhra was sitting, bent down and hugged him in his arms: "Alas... I'm finally back."
Nuhra let Corris face him cheek to cheek and placed her hand on the young man's clasped arms. "You've worked hard. Get some rest tonight... Go wash your hands and have dinner."
Chris didn't move, but just hugged Nuhra silently for a while longer. When he felt that Nuhra had regained some energy, he let Nuhra go. Nuhra walked in front of Chris, heading towards the restaurant, and Chris followed Nuhra as a silent follower.
Nuhra knew that Chris had been going through a lot these past few days and was in a bad mood, so she took the initiative to remain silent and let Chris recover slowly.
He asked the smart butler to prepare some extra dishes in advance, and when he got off work, he took a detour to the dessert shop and bought some of Chris's favorite pastries.
Chris turned his negative emotions into appetite. He sat down at the table without saying a word and just kept eating until he finished most of the food on the table by himself.
At first, Nuhra was worried that he couldn't finish the meal by himself, so she ate a few bites with him. Later, she chose to put aside her unnecessary worries and concentrate on observing Chris in front of her, and also did not forget to have a sip of wine.
"Honey, have you grown taller?" Nuhra put the wine glass aside and suddenly chuckled.
"Hmm?" Corris raised his head in confusion and uttered a questioning syllable.
"When I first saw you, you looked malnourished. Now you look different..." Nuhra stretched out his hand and gestured to Corris, sighing.
Chris put down the knife and fork in his hand, reached out and touched the arm muscles under his clothes, and indeed felt a different weight than before. "Thanks to my brother for feeding me with delicious food and drink... otherwise I would still be a poor little thing who knows where to go." Chris smiled mischievously and thanked Nuhra generously.
Nuhra shook her head helplessly and amusedly, raised her glass and took a sip of wine. "That time in the ward, I guess I scared you... I remember you were very afraid of me."
Chris was stunned for a moment before he remembered what Nuhra was talking about. "I... uh, the past is all in the past. Now I like you very much, brother." Before he got to know Nuhra, he was indeed full of vigilance and fear of Nuhra... But Chris didn't want to mention what happened then. He and Nuhra were very sweet now, and that was enough.
"You say a lot of sweet words, I don't know if you are lying to me..." Nuhra was obviously very pleased, but he still had to say a few more words... If it weren't for the curve of his mouth, it would sound like Nuhra was really feeling aggrieved.
"Of course I mean it! You...you are mine, my first love." Saying that word made Chris feel inexplicably shy and he subconsciously lowered his voice.
"What about you...?" After saying that, he looked up at Nuhra expectantly with his rosy face under the light.
"You are also my...first love." Nuhra believed that she was no longer shy, but when the young man Chris questioned her, she would rarely speak without stammering.
Chris got a satisfactory answer, took a napkin to wipe his mouth, and said in a much more cheerful mood: "I'm full, and I'm happy to hear you say this, brother."
Nuhra picked up the glass and made a toasting gesture, then unexpectedly asked, "Would you like some wine?"
"Tonight? I have to go to school tomorrow..." Chris's refusal was not firm. His eyes lingered on the golden wine in Nuhra's glass, and his expression could not hide his curiosity.
"You won't get drunk after taking a sip or two. This is just a low-proof fruit wine." Nuhra also noticed the eagerness in Corris's words and took the initiative to explain.
"...I don't think I have classes tomorrow morning, and I have a less important class in the afternoon." Chris expressed his thoughts modestly. "It's not a problem to drink a little."
Nuhra suppressed his laughter as he watched the robotic arm pour a glass of wine for Chris. Worried that Chris wouldn't be used to it, he warned him, "Drink slowly, be careful not to choke."
Upon hearing this, Corris did not dare to act rashly. He just touched a little of the wine with his lips and tasted it - it had a rich fruity aroma and was not spicy when it passed through his throat. When he tasted it carefully, he could taste the mellowness of the wine.
"Not bad?" Chris took another sip and responded uncertainly. He actually quite liked the taste.
A robotic arm quickly cleared away the food scraps and tableware in front of the two men, leaving only their respective wine glasses. Across the clean, tidy table, Nuhra raised her glass to him. This time, Chris also picked up his glass and clinked it with his. When he set it down again, only a thin layer of wine remained at the bottom. He drank the remaining little in one gulp.
"I want to drink some more." It was the first time for Chris to drink this kind of fruit wine. It was rare for him to be interested in a certain type of alcohol, so he wanted to drink more. Anyway, Nuhra also said that the alcohol content of this wine was not high.
The robotic arm poured another glass of wine for Chris, precisely controlling the depth of the wine. This time, Chris didn't rush to drink it like he had just done. Instead, he took a sip every once in a while, imitating Nuhra's example...
The second cup was drunk without him noticing, and the third cup was filled silently right after. Chris was completely unaware and continued drinking.
Because of this, Kris, who was naturally a moderate drinker, soon blushed, while Nuhra, across from him, remained calm. Furthermore, Kris was already starting to feel a bit tipsy, and sleepiness was pouring over him like a tide.
Seeing Corris like this, Nuhra stopped him from drinking any more: "Don't drink anymore, you're a little drunk."
"I won't! There's still a third glass here. It would be a waste if I don't drink it..." Under the stimulation of alcohol, Corris became talkative and his thoughts were very active. He loudly complained about why Nuhra didn't let him drink. "Do you have to control me just because I drink one glass? Nuhra, you have to drink with me now!"
Nuhra was at a loss for words and walked to Chris, trying to persuade him to leave...but he saw Chris reaching out to take the remaining wine in the glass and drink it. He quickly hugged him in his arms, and with his other hand, he was one step ahead of Chris and grabbed the glass first, drinking up the remaining wine in the glass.
Kris was caught off guard and pressed against Nuhra's abdomen. His vision went dark and the familiar scent of Nuhra lingered at the tip of his nose. His brain overheated in an instant, his rationality went offline, and he reached out to grab Nuhra's collar.
Nuhra was not on guard against Kris, so she did not expect Kris's unexpected action. She had no choice but to lean down, and then she was greeted by Kris's hot lips... Nuhra was stunned for a moment, and gently accepted the other party's impatient action.
Perhaps it was the alcohol that gave him courage, or perhaps it was because his Ren and Du meridians were opened... Chris licked and bit Nuhra's lips without any instruction, and even stood up, pushing Nuhra onto the dining table, and firmly placed his hands on both sides of Nuhra's body to prevent him from resisting.
Nuhra always indulged Chris when they were together in private. After all, no matter how much he indulged him, he was sure that he could control Chris... But now Chris in front of him was only acting on instinct, and there was no way to communicate at all - even though Nuhra had been trying to push him away.
The two were inseparable, and finally Nuhra had to reach out and use her tiger's mouth to clamp Chris's chin to separate Chris from him.
Staring at Nuhra lying on the table in front of him with disheveled clothes and a frown on her face, Chris's drunkenness gradually wore off and he became much more sober. He suddenly felt embarrassed and shy... But Chris had no intention of backing away. Instead, he and Nuhra remained in this ambiguous stalemate.
"Chris, you've been drinking, not taking any medicine, so why are you so excited?" Nuhra had a cold face, but her tone was not bad, but there was a hint of complaint in her voice.
Things have come to this point. To retreat would be to admit defeat. It would be better to stick to one path until the end... Kris forced a straight face and brought up Nuhra's promise in the garage to respond: "Brother, do you mean to say that what you promised me before is no longer valid?"
Nuhra was sitting under Kris, and she almost laughed out loud when she saw his aggrieved look: "Did I say today? Why are you in such a hurry? You won't be left without anything." Unexpectedly, this little brat Kris has learned to complain first!
"Besides, can you do it today?" Nuhra rubbed Kris's lower body with ill intentions. "Oh, and... do you know how to do it, kid?"
The little bit of alcohol that Chris and Nuhra drank had almost evaporated from their bodies. Now both of them were very sober, and their body's instinctive reaction also indicated that they were not really drunk...but Nuhra was not very willing to cross that line tonight.
"Then what should we do?" Chris was not scared away by Nuhra's words at all. He looked down at Nuhra with a low and hoarse voice, as if he was the boss and didn't care.
Nuhra was confused for a moment by Kris's self-righteous attitude. It was obviously Kris who made her angry, but he asked Nuhra what to do... This was really outrageous. Nuhra replied unhappily: "Go take a shower!" Then she pushed Kris away and got down from the table.
"What do you mean by taking a shower?" The aftereffects of drinking had not completely subsided in Chris, and he couldn't wrap his mind around it for a while.
"What I mean is, take a cold shower and suppress your stuff." Nuhra turned around, squinted her eyes and smiled at Corris, and said through gritted teeth.
After saying that, Nuhra left the restaurant without looking back. Chris was a little afraid that Nuhra was really angry at this time, so he immediately chased after her.
Nuhra hurried up the stairs, followed closely by Chris, who apologized in a flustered tone, "Brother, I was wrong... I was so carried away that I didn't consider your opinion. Can you please forgive me..."
He followed Nuhra into the room and just as he was about to approach her to express his determination to apologize, Nuhra ruthlessly pushed her into the bathroom: "Shower first, then talk to me."
Knowing he was in the wrong, Chris walked into the bathroom dejectedly. He took off his alcohol-stained coat and walked naked to the shower head. He set the shower head to cold water mode, and the powerful water flow fell like a waterfall, washing Chris's lean and strong young body.
His reaction hadn't subsided much, as the cold water splashing over his head gave him goose bumps, and he dodged to the side to avoid the endless stream of water.
Chris turned off the shower, leaned against the cold tile wall, closed his eyes and slowly stretched out his hand... At this moment, all he could think of was Nuhra, his smiling or pensive face in different scenes, and he even imagined him crying because of him.
Not long after, the bathroom door was opened by someone from outside. Chris was startled by the noise and stood sideways awkwardly against the wall, looking as guilty as if he had been caught doing something bad.
Nuhra stood expressionlessly at the door, her bright golden eyes fixed on Chris's face, making Chris feel very shy and wanting to use a bath towel to cover his naked body.
At this moment, Nuhra finally took action. He walked closer to Kress step by step, and finally stood in front of Kress, squatted down, looked up at Kress silently, and said in the most calm tone: "Take your hands away."
…
The shower in the bathroom was turned on again, and the sound of running water echoed in the empty bathroom for a long time before finally returning to silence.
Nuhra stood up again, his whole body was almost wet. His hair, which was usually combed back, was messed up after being wet, and the disobedient hair ran to his forehead... He walked straight to the sink to rinse his mouth, ignoring Coris who was still standing there.
Chris casually took the bathrobe and put it on, walked behind Nuhra, and stared at him in the mirror on the sink: Nuhra's lips were moist, with a little red at the corners of his mouth, and his body's reaction was vaguely visible.
Coris, who was a few centimeters taller than Nuhra, reached forward and hugged him without allowing any resistance, his cold palms touching him boldly like a snake.
"Brother, let me help you..." Coris' eyes were deep and gloomy. He kissed Nuhra's plump earlobe and whispered.
Nuhra did not refuse nor resist, but silently let Chris do what he wanted. The moment he made up his mind to walk into the bathroom, he had already anticipated how things would develop.
…
Once again it was over, with Corris and Nuhra clinging to each other in silence.
Nuhra lowered her head, not knowing what she was thinking. Corris said gently, "Brother, why don't you want to look at me?"
"How do I see you now?" Nuhra's voice was unsteady, and she tried her best to keep her mind clear.
"Just look ahead." Corris's tone was gentle, but his words contained a command.
"Don't push your luck..." These words coming from the current Nuhra had no deterrent effect. After all, it was he who allowed Chris to get close to him. Chris pretended to be innocent and said, "I just want my brother to be happy too."
Nuhra still showed no intention of looking up, so Coris prepared to take some extra measures: "Brother, I want to bite you, is that okay?"
"...What?" Nuhra's thinking ability had not yet recovered, and he did not react to what Corris was going to do next.
Without saying anything more, Kris bit Nuhra's shoulder lightly. Nuhra felt the pain and raised her head to avoid the bite, but Kris held her tightly and couldn't let her break free. He still left an inconspicuous mark on Nuhra's collar.
"...Where did you learn all this?" After a long time, Nuhra asked in an ambiguous tone.
After dealing with all this, Corris immediately returned to his previous caring little lamb appearance, resting his chin on Nuhra's shoulder like a spoiled child, not letting him go: "I learned it just by thinking about you."
"Heh." Nuhra sneered, "I wonder if you can still teach yourself by then."
...Brother, I will study hard and make you feel comfortable." Kris was a little embarrassed, his eyes darting around for a while before he seriously promised Nuhra.
"Go take a shower quickly." Nuhra was speechless for a moment. She broke free from Chris's arms, turned around and pretended to walk out of the bathroom, but Chris grabbed her wrist.
"Let's take a shower together." Although Chris's hand didn't seem to be exerting any strength, he actually held Nuhra tightly and forced him to walk towards the shower room.
